Lols. But this is not the USA where I presume it's relatively hard to get ur Citizenship.
Most of the "fresher" uncles came on a good visa that in no distant time, they getting their ilr and citizenship noni. Plus, they getting paid well.

So issue of papers/benefits is really not factored here.

You're talking the new regime- skilled migrants- I'm talking about uncle Bode and Jegede that went through 6months visiting visa or student visa since 2002 and still on that visit...

Naija men that marry Caucasians generally tend to have a brain reset naturally.

Come and see them cooking ,cleaning, burping their children without complaint.
Its mostly when they see Naija women they try to flex muscle.
Here, relationships have expectations..you are expected to do your own bit.
I still don't understand the going back to Nigeria to poach a wife, once she gets here and understands the system she becomes wiser and stops being intimidated by the egoistic man.

Every Mallam to his kettle.Marry who you love ,someone who you are passionate about and a person who is on a similar standing or at least close to you so that even if it ends and the assets are split in two,no one will be wailing like Eboue.

Abeg I wan hear from Una wey Sabi pass me.

Why e be say most naija people wey dey here go just run go naija find wife?

Not like it's bad, don't get me wrong. What's with the fear of the "white woman"?

I read the "be careful of the white ladies" in most articles of dudes in the abroad.

Why is this so?

In my opinion, I think there are good and bad people in all cultures regardless of race. I think we should cultivate the habit of looking beyond the race, and actually getting to know who the person beneath the skin is. I agree that there are cultural challenges in dating outside the comfort zone we were all born and raised in, but life would be boring to us all if we do not try to understand the culture of people different from us. In my own experience, I have dated ladies from a wide array of cultures, and my current girlfriend is Kenyan. However, my experience with Naija women has left a permanent bad taste in my mouth. If I start writing stories of what the Naija ladies I know did to their husbands who worked his socks off to bring them to the UK, the stories will fill a book.

It is very common among Nigerian imported wives once they get their PR/Citizenship. One man I know said some men keep these aggressive women in check by stalling their PR/Citizenship. That way, the women know that if they mess up, they are going back to Nigeria. I think this is wicked though!

Best thing is to patiently find your soul mate and not let despair drive you into the hands of slay queens and mamas who would milk you dry, dump you and take over all your possessions after a few years, then continue slaying with toyboys!

These stories that touch abound in this abroad kiss
Those men sef no really smart. If I want to bring a wife directly from Nigeria, na better prenup I go prepare.
This back stabbing stuff by women sef is not only common among Nigerians. It happens to citizens that also bring wives from Ukraine, Bulgaria, Philippines, e.t.c

Just to balance things out a bit..

There are stories aplenty of Men bringing women from Nigeria and elsewhere, who 'cook' them up well well, get them signed up for all the care training, RN courses and other lucrative easy entry roles with bucks coming. Then sit back and reap their investment, hop into Naija frequently to celebrate their accomplishment by getting hooked to Fresh/Fresher Naija girls who won't mind have a far away hubby sending salary for her and new baby's upkeep lipsrsealed

Geetrix,
The court would ensure money is split in a not too bad way.Whoever has the kids generally gets house etc and whoever earns more must make sure the same standard of living is maintained be it female or male.
Plus lost income being a stay at home parent enabling the main earner concentrate on furthering their career.

A lot is considered.

Choose your partner wisely, whether African or Caucasian it's still the same outcome if court enters.

Make una leave wife matter. At least Nigeria de export something. I advice you to patronize made in Nigeria goods/wives cos me I no fit shout. grin
In other news, To the glory of God, I got a conditional offer of employment January 31st. The conditions were routine stuff like referees, Health declaration and stuff like that which I met within 3 days of the offer.
But them getting back to me on the next step is taking forever. Fear even catch me so tay I had to mail them on Monday to be sure the offer of employment was still on. They replied me yesterday assured me there was no problem but they were working on some things which they didn't state.
I spoke with a colleague in the UK and he advised me to prepare myself for July sad
My question is what was your experience, does it really take that long to between the initial offer and finally landing in the UK?
Cos the thought of staying in naija till July is making afraid catch me.

It takes a special kind of stupidity to be like Eboue. The guy left everything related to finances to his wife. He said there was a time he made 8 million and he sent 7 million to his wife to take care of the kids and everything, can you imagine that. He said everything she said he should sign, he signed without going through them. I'm sure his wife at that time already had plans of divorcing him. Eboue was probably messing around with other women as it is common with footballers.

She can claim she was pressured into signing a prenup ,mental state was not okay when she signed it so prenup may become null and void.

Everyone should be careful dazall

All these examples you're giving. At the end of the day, it really falls down to the individual.

I know so many African men who went back home to marry their wives. When some of the women arrived and saw that the system here supports women- they stopped tolerating some of the things they were just managing before from their husbands oh.

In typical African fashion, the husband say their eyes don tear -women wanted a divorce. A particular couple, the man kept on hanging on as the woman was pregnant -only for her to put to bed and we saw a black-asian baby. LOL!

E gbami!!! grin grin grin

Ya, I saw that post, in fact I read every full stop and comma in that post cos that was what I suspected initially.
However, my profession happens to be on the shortage occupations list so I doubt if that's the real issue, something in their reply to my mail gives me the impression they haven't even started applying for the COS.
Let's assume there are no COS issues, how long does it normally take to process an offer of employment on the average?

Swear down! One of my school children, first time I met her, I saw her surname and was excited that she was Yoruba (fellow Nigerian in a 90% white uni),

I said “wow! Kemi Bode, you are Nigerian!”
She said, “No, I’m Cynthia, I am British!”..
I confuse.
I pointed out her surname
She then said, “Oh, yeah, my dad and mum are Nigerians”..

I almost fell down laughing grin grin. I don’t blame her for disowning us sha!

Funny, She was the only nice British Nigerian, the other ones didn’t even bother to mingle. We, the akpurukas, gave them space.

I had two British Nigerian flatmates back in Uni. One left Nigeria when he was two and never been back since then. He was 21 when I met him. The only thing Nigerian about him was his last name. He hated it when I call him naija man. The other was 25 years old and only been to naija once when he was 10, he loved naija so much and loved it when I call him my naija bro. We became good friends even till now. Two people with different personalities.

Well, it would depend on the company's internal bureaucracy.
Also, they may need to apply for a CoS from the govt, and I've no idea how long that takes.

Really depends on company's policy and all but COS application is once every month and usually on the 10th if it hasn't been changed recently. Just follow them up and see
