But you guyz are in no position to say you have been scammed when you did not even vote for them.. Moreover it's lagos that is building it not the FG. talk to your governor to build one for you. |

More reason to buy properties in ibeju Lekki. When this seaport, dangote refinery and Lekki Free Trade zone fully become operational, demand for houses to buy will become high and prices of landed properties will triple. The time to invest at Ibeju Lekki axis is now! Contact us for genuine lands at Ibeju Lekki. |

I think Lagos States deserves its own modern deep seaport and even airport, away from the usual facilities on Apapa/Ikeja/Mainland. Traffic congestion can be solved by having fewer cars on the roads. How far with the Lagos railway lines and Train stations? I don't think that the development needs of other states are being obstructed by Lagos State. But it will not be wise for other states to watch their population drift away to Lagos. But rather than compete with Lagos, they should complement and assess their needs based on their own stages of development and resources available, which Lagos does not have. Lagos does not have everything. |

obynzo:The Lekki port is a Lagos state government's initiative and it is being built by the Lagos state government to improve the economy of Lagos state. Should Lagos fold its arms and halt its own development simply because other state governments chose not to do anything for their states? Meanwhile it appears most of the other ports you mentioned arent deep sea ports like this one, except for Ibaka. So in essence, the competition or comparison should be between Lekki vs Ibaka. But the now question is, what is Akwa-Ibom state government waiting for to commence Ibaka?... Approvals had been given ages ago but instead of commencing the Ibaka project or searching for investors to commit to it, Akwa-Ibom state government is rather spending N10billion to build a mega state owned church. Who really should be blamed for the above?... Lagos state government, FG or Akwa-Ibom state government?. |

walter08:You want Lagos state government to use Lagos state money in building a seaport in another state? ![]() So many people have been asking this weird question and I'm still not sure I know where it's coming from. |

@kolawoleibukun.oga mi . we are our problems .Imagine we dont have a single vessel that gives money in foreign currency. Imagine how we would have made money we have the likes of Maersk Nigeria operating .The government brought about CABOTAGE laws to regulate funding for indigenous companies yet no way. We have the likes of Maersk, MSc,, Cosco, PIl, Gold star, grimaldi even as a port terminal navigating our territorial waters as they like. The only money NPA makes is the 7% surcharge from the port operations and some other charges. Why you are seeing filipinos around amaechi is that they are good sea fearers .? What are the comparative advantages we have over other countries except to bring down ourselves before them . Its baffling and ironical. Ati di omo eleran ti o je egun |

obynzo:Lekki free trade zone is a state project and the only support the federal govt is rendering is the sea port on that axis as its very important for proper functioning of the zone, if you have been to that area u will know what im talking, its an emerging industrial hub in africa, so you really can't expect the apapa port to serve that area, our roads will be stucked. |

Maxigoody:Why is everyone asking this weird questiin and reasoning in this weird way?... Should Lagos state government spend Lagos state funds in building a seaport in delta state or river state or akwa ibom?.... Meanwhile Akwa ibom has since gotten approval to build Ibaka deep sea port, but instead of funding the project or searching for strategic partners to fund the project, Akwa-Ibom state government is committing N10billion to build a mega-church. Such fuckery exists amongst the leadership in the Niger delta but every single time it seems the blame game is always the sweetest response; blame all others except yourself for your problems. Abeg how exactly is it the fault of Lagos state, or the fault of Buhari or Fulanis that the Niger Delta ALWAYS elects shitty leaders? |

Iaudable projects around the free trade zone, but something should be done about access road between lekki - epe else the congestion will be second to none. |
| Re: Amaechi Inspects Lekki Deep Sea Port,lagos(photos) by marticeus(m): 9:33am On Feb 25, 2018 |
Enough of these coastal ports and perambulations, by now more emphasis should have been to develop and finish the inland ports. It will free congestion in most these costal towns Warri, pH and Lagos. Free up the collapsed beyond repair Apapa Oshodi express way and free up most of the major highway in the country. |

kolawoleibukun:Whenever you own your own multi national company make black man the managers. The first state to be declared bankrupt in USA as a black governor. How many country with black president is a success since they have been granted independence. Let any black president develop his country to the standard the white developed South Africa, a country on the Afteican continent. Then, I might believe that black ain’t born with black brains. Until that is the case am sorry each n every Blackman is a dullard no matter how distinguished you are on your field. A race that can not develop it’s populations or land is definitely incapacitated. |

EarthXmetahuman:you are right but I think in my opinion that all south western govt should put their different aside and work on dawn agenda. If one rife in 45mins to an hour train from ekiti to Lagos, that will automatically decongest the city and spark up development in those States. We only need more committed and visionary leaders in our region. The dieing odua investment should be refinanced. You can imagine what wema bank can impact on projects financing of the region if its up and doing. DAWN is that way to go. A lofty idea with paucity of actions. |

BaeMercy:Liar...Ask yourself what Lagos will gain when there are many ports already. Tin Can, Apapa Wharf are there...The roads in and out of the ports are hell on earth...and you are building another one in Lekki. Through which roads would the importers move their goods in-land? Below are pics of Tin Can port and Lekki road... Most of you don't know your left from your right.
