The only money order was the 77$ used to complete the application. I paid no other thing.
some people paid 27$ at the embassy for them to mail the passports to them.
But 77$ is the only cost to get it here in Washington. and it is paid before even coming for your appointment

Sorry Eby123. You applied in August and November 2017....did you tell them about the baby then? I'm guessing that if you didn't disclose at those interviews maybe that's why you were denied recently.

Or could it be the cost...some VOs don't like discounts and cheap hospitals.

In August I was not pregnant. And in November I was at the verge of loosing the pregnancy so we didn't think mentioning it wud have made a diff. Plus the VO asked if we had any kids DH said No. And I said we hope to have some day. Let me add that we've been married for almost 8years and even at the interview we had in August the VO also asked if we had any kids... maybe they think we're lieing abt not having kids...

So thanks to everyone... I got to LA about 12days ago.

I got my tourist visa last year February in Lagos( I just returned from a trip to LA a month b4 I applied), only question I was asked at that interview was if I was going back to LA and I said yes. I was suppose to go for the summer break but then I found out I was pregnant in July... too sick to function so canceled the trip. I stay in Port harcourt and didn't have energy to travel just to reapply for medical visa, so I decided to arm myself with money, paperwork and the truth.

Booked my ticket with virgin altantic, got doctors correspondence, booked accommodation with airbnb, bank statement and all. Travel day came and I didn't know Lagosians like Love.... I was stuck in this miserable traffic on Valentine's day, 20mins journey turned 2hrs and I missed my flight...( if u intend using virgin better go early those guys do not joke with time as well). I just jejely went to their office and paid 300dollars to reschedule I and my toddler for the next day... BTW how come nobody mentioned that no more customs searching bags anymore, no more palm oil cannot go...anything for us custom guys.. Thank God.

Onboard Lagos leg, food was great..made for Nigerians.
Got to London, went to immigration.... showed them my belly nd I entered fast track line, the guy asked for visa.. told him I didn't have but I understand it is at his discretion to let me in... He flips through looks and shows his supervisor, asked me what i was going to do in America, I said childbirth... asked if i informed the US embassy and i said yes. He stamps me in for a day.. I took a cab to the hotel and rested well, there are buses going there though but I didn't have energy to wait because of my toddler.
2nd leg of the trip... as i boarded, i entered the toiler and changed to my Pyjamas trousers and compressio
socks , I was super comfortable... food was not nice at all... my toddler child meal was not available because I changed our date I guess.... my boy and I starved quietly (my advice.. buy snacks at the airport b4 u board) BTW I am not a picky eater..
We got to LA... I was the last to leave the aircraft... last on the line as well... line moved fast and I used the machine... declared food as well and i was sent to the CBP..
CBP... Passport please
I passed it to him
CBP: How long are you here for?
56days
CBP... Why are you here?
Visit family and have my baby
CBP: why America?
my brain froze and I asked him to repeat himself... He did and I said healthcare and Dual citizenship. (already saw him rolling his eyes at healthcare but when I add citizenship.. He nodded and relaxed)
Then a younger black American officer walks towards me and says have u made all ur arrangements.... I said Yes and brought out my envelope... asked her if she will like to see and she said yes and takes the envelope...
2nd officer: how much do u have?
i said 9740 dollars... didn't carry 10k to avoid filling any form... (I know it is not a crime but I didn't want to waste a second because of 10k.)
CBP lady asked for my husband said he will come later.. asked about my sister in law in LA... told her she is a citizen.
She opens my envelope and I tell her the money is inside as well... looks at the money but doesnt count it...she looks through my document and then sees my change of intent...she tells the First officer to look and he pushes it aside without looking and then she says u have to see this and he looks at it.. says ok and checks the US stamp at the end of the letter, types and says congrats on ur baby and have a good stay.
Said thanks and left.

Went to scan my bag because I declared food... agric guy was friendly, asked what I add...just said edible seeds but already ground( no energy to start listing), noodles and baby food... Passed my bag through the machine and was told to go...they didn't open it.

Got to my accommodation in one piece. Went for my appointment some days after....DR M does not accept test from nigeria so don't bother wasting your time... did fresh test... paid my bills...went to the hospital and did same as well.
Dem still de search if you are flying Delta airlines ooh!

One clarification here pls. ..you or any person whose POE was LA. Seems it's not a common place for the COBs to take fingerprints of expectant mothers. I've read a lot about "place your fingers here to be scanned" being the norm at most other POEs.

Any reasons?
Re: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedures Part 6 by Brownshoogah(f): 4:50am On Feb 28, 2018
There is a machine that does that before you get to the officer.

Hello mums.
My EDD is 20th June 2018
And will be birthing abroad and would love for my husband to be there on delivery day.
I’m a first time mum, so FTms how early or late did your baby arrive? What date range do you suggest he gets his ticket for so he can arrive and most likely be with me at delivery.

From what i learnt on this thread, pregnant passengers are required to fill a form on Qatar website and submit same to be processed before departure date. If you didn't fill any form, it may be part of the problem.
BTW why does your fit to fly state 29 weeks when you are 33? I am not so sure but I think Qatar flies 32 weeks and below.
Please contact their help desk to assist.

good day everyone, please i need clarification. is there a different from doctor appointment and doctor correspondence. will appreciate response please.

Doctors appointment is a document showing that you have a booked appointment with the Dr at such & such a date at such & such a time. It could form part of your Dr's correspondence, but not limited to it.
Dr's correspondence on the other hand is the email trail that has gone back and forth between you and your US Dr. It is suppose to include an acceptance by the Dr,his price etc
