Ovia
You are too daft, you went to facekoo to snap people's name just cos they bear amaka, emeka join ovia or ovie. Is that the meaning i asked you? What is the meaning in igbo n stop this stupidity just to evade question. In warri, the title of the king is olu, a yoruba name, does that make them yoruba. So i should go to facebook to snap so many names that bear yoruba names likes Sola, bola, tunde, muyiwa, kola, biola, Ade etc with their edo names and call them yorubas. Are you this slow? Even my friend in school bears osas folorunso. So how does folorunso makes him yoruba. Guy, try another tatic. Tell me the meaning of those names in igbo n stop posting unecessar pictures. Thanks.

Ovia means nothing in igbo. They are just trying to manipulate it, but they think they are talking to mumu like them. How can dey say it means forest in onitsha igbo but never gave any meaning to it in other igbos. These people too mumu. It is like saying biola means one thing in oyo yoruba and no get any meaning in other yorubas. grin

Lol, there are many dialets in yoruba land. Even Akure north and south that are too close have different dialet. Dialet is not language. In all dialet in yorubaland, all yoruba names has same meaning in all the dialets. Get that. Not the one onitsha igbo call something forest but other igbos has no meaning to it.

Why will I take ignorant fool from Osogbo.

the past few weeks, you would have noticed across the major roads in Lagos – Ikorodu Road and the Third Mainland Bridge – there are banners on the dividers announcing a kaleidoscope of Nigerian successes who count Lagos as either their major influencers or their base.

It’s an exhaustive – and inspiring list – including everyone from Aliko Dangote, through Jimi Agbaje to Funke Akindele. Of course the trio Lagos’ elitist governors make the list – Bola TINUBU, Babatunde Fashola and Akinwunmi Ambode – whose government continues to kill and maim the people who live in Otodo Gbame.

We noticed something weird, apart from the fact of only about six women making the long list. So we took our careful time and went back to both roads and counted each and every of the banners.

We could only find one Igbo person.

There are loads of Yoruba, and some form the North of Nigeria. But across the length and breadth of the list, only one Igbo person – Jim Ovia. And of course there are those that will recall that this token person is actually from Delta, which is South South.

The only other person from the South South or South East is broadcaster, Soni Irabor.

What an amaze.

Not one Igbo person.

In a country where Igbos are powering Surulere. Where Idumota and Alaba and Ladip, where commerce is driven by this same group of Nigerians. A state where all major banks are mostly chaired either by a South Easterner or South Southerner.

Yoruba and Igbo are different languages that share no common boundary but yet we still share some words not to talk of Edo that shares boundary with Igbo.

Some parts of Igboland developed as organized rural areas much like urban but under leadership of central King with majority of inhabitants being people of same origin. Igbos simply call them villa for that reason but they're quite developed and beautiful. Abiriba and Oguta fall into that category. This is Abiriba

Sir, what is the meaning of Biafraexit?
I am hearing this for the first time.

Bros, I don't have any problems with the igbo people or any tribe neither did I referred to the great Igbo people when I asked why YOUR obsession with Lagos?
YOU and NDI-IGBO are not exactly the same thing.
I am NOT against Biafra per see but it can not be actualize on Nairaland or other social media.

kernel504:

Sir... The right question will be why the obsession about BiafraExit, because if they're obsessed with Lagos, they won't ask out.
