Yes i believe in once saved always saved. But any believer that continue with a sinful lifestyle doesn't know his true identity and that is a stup.id choice to make. If you reject it, you will die in your sin nature which leads to Hell but if you accept His free gift of Salvation, He will cloth you with His own righteousness that qualifies you for eternal life in heaven.

John 3:16 is the Gospel "For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten son. That whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have Eternal Life".

That is the Gospel.. The good news we are asked to preach to a fallen world. Its all about Christ Jesus.

For someone to promote the idea that some believers will go to hell means they are asking us to believe these promises are not true, that Jesus did not die for all our sins, that our inheritance is not guaranteed, that someone can take us out of the Lord’s hands, and God cannot make us stand firm in Christ. That means no one can ever be sure of his or her eternal destiny regardless of what the Bible has promised us.

I’ve read some of the books people who make these claims have written, but I have also read the Bible. I choose to believe the Bible. After all these books are the words of fallible man, but the Bible is the Word of an infallible God.

I appreciate the opposition to the message of the eternal security of the believer. It's what we have been taught all our lives and we sincerely believe it. But then, we can be sincerely wrong! It's not about sincerity. Question is, does the Bible teach it?

I would implore us to just open our hearts, discard all our pre-suppositions and study the Bible on this subject.

In closing, even the most popular verse in the Bible talks about eternal security........"that whosoever BELIEVES on Him should NOT PERISH but have ETERNAL LIFE......NOT PERISH...NOT PERISH....NOT PERISH....NOT PERISH...NOT PERISH...NOT PERISH...

The Bible later says "Work out your salvation with fear and trembling".
We have to co-operate with the Holy Spirit through whom we are sanctified in Christ Jesus to reach Heaven.

Instant salvation happens the minute you believe in Jesus Christ and then we also have to obey the commandments to make Heaven. Simple as that really.

When the Master told us to guard our crowns jealously lest someone else takes it, what exactly does he mean? When Paul said we should work out our salvation with fear and trembling, what exactly was he saying? When in 1st corinth 10 we were reminded of our forefathers who though were saved from Egypt drank from the water that came from the Rock, ate the manna, saw many wonders but were still destroyed, what is that place actually referring to? When Jesus reminds you that a branch cut off from a tree will surely wither, what exactly is that telling you? The same Paul told us that it is God who work in us both to will and do His eternal purpose. Working out our salvation means resting in the finish work of Jesus Christ, the Lord.
