Mavinc4u, madam the madam, trouble maker extraordinaire, wehdone ma. I will respond to very few of your wild and malicious claims because I don't have the energy to read your epistle this morning.

Let me start with your claim that one of the Midas staff in Lagos was caught redhanded by you 'trying to steal' from your box. When i investigated and found out the staff who was allegedly "dipping the his hands into your box" I just shook my head. You really are a cantankerous trouble maker. This particular guy is the longest serving Lagos staff and has been instrumental in flushing out bad eggs within the company.

Your box was 'poked', and Midas policy is anytime a package is poked by customs, staff present are to take pictures of the poked areas for record purposes before they are wrapped again. They very well cannot deliver a mangled box to you, can they?

When they are rewrapping the boxes, sometimes the boxes are cut in such a way that the torn flap of carton is pushed inward. In this kind of situation, they dip their hands into hole to bring the flap out so so that the hole can be covered before being rewrapped. You happened to walk in when the guy was trying to wrap your box. It is even against Midas policy for any staff to be alone with a box that has been poked, so unless you want to lie, you will agree that there were other people with him when he was mending the box. Midas explained this to you but you are bent on character assassination.

In a normal country, they use scanners for examination, while in abnormal countries like Nigeria, customs carry knives to tamper with people's shipment. Below are some pictures of poked boxes

Now to the main reason for my appearance here.

The lady who first attended to your complaint was retrenched in December 2017 because of incompetence, and then when management took over investigations they discovered that the staff who received it was careless in accountability, which is why he did not double check the package he received to confirm that it was indeed 21, rather that 23 phones were received. He has been sanctioned too. Whatever discrepancy in figures is the fault of your seller, not Midas. They have told you repeatedly that you should check back with your seller and sort yourself out with them but you insist on making wild and unfounded accusations.

Mind you, Midas always include the packing list if it is available. The packing list is folded and placed in-between, at the back or under the packages inside the box, exactly where you found the one that you claim 'fell' and was 'missed' by Midas so that they would 'claim they did not receive it'

Madam, when r231 got tired of your never ending complaints over the years, he told you to take your business else where since you were not satisfied with their services. Between December 2016 and December 2017, Midas customer base has grown by over 200%, which means they must be doing something right.

They do not deny that things do get missing occasionally, and after investigation, the customer is usually compensated via refunds, replacement or credit.

You are the only one who never stops complaining about real or imagined things, phantom thieves trying to steal from you or imaginary poor customer service. Ahn ahn, na only you waka come?

For those of you wondering why r231 is responding the way he is, well, it is because the man is just simply fed up with mavin and her nonsense. He has told her to several times to take her business elsewhere but she refused because she wanted to 'catch the thief and expose them'. Smh

Careless and incompetence indeed! How would I stop complaining when your company refuse to stop what they are doing?

Even my bank can confirm one of the complaint.

The day one of your staffs mistakenly used CC instead of BCC to send mails to all your customers was the day another version of item loss issue came up from different angles or you want to deny you didn't see other customers mails regarding missing items asking how to handle it.

No time to discuss further as a matter already in court is not meant to be discussed until is out of court. Till then

r231 has repeatedly told you to come to his office in Lagos to talk face to face but you choose to hide under so-called internet anonymity to make libelous, irresponsible and wild claims. He is in Nigeria for the time being. Go and have a meeting with him if you know you have nothing to hide.

In as much as the allegations levelled against the shipper are very grievious and damaging ,one point still keeps on puzzling intelligent minds following this thread ,and the point is "why did the compliant keep on using the same shipper for so long despite the fact that items keeps getting missing"?
I read up to 3 instances ,it is strange. What i hear people saying is "once bitten ,twice shy". Not "ten times bitten ,one time shy"

You are right bro, I continued using them for some reasons; Firstly, to find out who is behind the theft and expose them. Secondly, most of my suppliers were already attached to their address, that each time I have issue with Midas, there would be a package in transit to their US address either from Nigeria as a return or from my suppliers.

I can tell you that a lot of online stores would blacklist their office address for delivery soon.

while this issue is on, i had some items that needed return but luckily the items are from my trust worthy supplier so i had to return them directly to the supplier's address instead of returning to Midas address. Even the Nipost attendant had to look twice at the return address to be sure i didn't make the mistake on the address but i explained to her that i have stopped using the previous address she is familiar with. see the first attached picture from Nipost return travking number and check the date.

The second attached is from one of my suppliers. Here i have deleted Midas address from my records and paid the supplier with a new address then mailed him that he is not shipping to the old address. However, because of his familiarity to the old address, he mailed to ask if he should ship to the same address, luckily for me i was on line to reply him quickly otherwise he would have shipped to Midas address while this issue is still on. Those were part of the reasons.
