Hello house,

I was denied a student visa last year December, decided to defer university of central missour admission to fall this year. Please, hope during my interview at the embassy by June I won't be ask why defer my admission to fall and not summer this year which is closer to my spring admission last year I.E I don't look desperate or serious to go for my masters.
If a question like that is ask what will be the best answer to the question...hope it not a bad decision in deferring my admission to Fall 2018 not summer 2018?

I know me been denied a visa last year was definitely my fault, cause I was'nt able to convince the VO with my answers to one of her question, the answer was totally out of line to the question asked.

Please, I really need someone to help me with the mock interview, I really want to sing a song of victory after the interview by June. love you all
Your deferment should be your least worries for your interview. The two main semesters are fall and spring. Very few courses if not none are offered by schools during summer and winter, the VOs are well aware of this fact. Focus on working on your flaws from your previous interview and stop worrying about something that isn't worth worrying about...Hope this helps.

cry So sorry about everything ..... I hope no visa agent is involved.....

First, after going through the web, I found that HCC.is a community school with 100% acceptance rate and no application fee undecided . Before going back there (embassy )for future success, you want to get admitted into a school (a university), that is ...........kind of competitive. Now prior to this, try to take GRE or GMAT -- at least take TOEFL .This will show that you have good intentions and indeed a student .

Second, Just know that you have raised a red flag with your last interview, therefore, there's no point in going back there to raise it even higher by scheduling another one . I once read of a guy who went in 7times shocked . He took with him proves upon evidences upon documents (e remain for him to tell the VO to follow him home, so he can show him...... ).Still, he was denied (island of red flags). You don't want to force it.

Don't worry, you will be fine.

Thanks for your respond
Applying for a UNI , what test will be best to take SAT or TOEFL?

I thought I was going to act like Uncle TWoods about Visa application and interview- less sentimental, be logical and just be a genuine Student and apply to a good school....but mehn, I'd be sincere, I had to resort to trusting God.

No doubt I did my bit, did all that's humanly possible but then, even folks I felt were better qualified were denied today. It was almost a foray of blue paper!

Luckily, I got the White Paper

My detailed interview in a bit.

Plenty thanks to everyone! it's been over a year on this thread and I must confess, it contributed to 90% of the success story.

Thanks fam!

For those going this week, my only advice: Pray and do your best!

If anyone is coming for the NSBE at Pittsbury PA.

P&G is seriously seeking Engineers in Electrical/Industrial/Chemical/Mechanical/Biomedical for internship and Full time positions.

You can PM me so that i could set you up for an interview after you must have successfully passed the online test which is usually easy.

NB: If you dont have Permanent Residency/Citizenship or an EAD card (not OPT/CPT), its gonna be a waste of your time because they will find out when they look you up in everify.

i will be expecting some PMs !!!

Thanks

Thanks for the info.... is there opportunity for those who won't be able to attend NSBE

Your SEVIS fee payment confirmation comes between 2-7 days after payment and they do send a mail to your inbox apart from the fact that you can always check the status on www.fmfee.com. You cannot Schedule a Student Visa Appointment as there is a portion that requires your SEVIS fee confirmation code if I remember vividly. To get a close by interview date, schedule your appointment in the early Morning where some people may have cancelled their earlier appointments. I hope that works as it worked for me. All the best.

MS in Food & Nutrition. Fam, anybody that tells you this is a good idea doesn't have your best interest at heart. Industrial Management would place your foot on a way higher pedestal. You can still work in a Food & Beverages firm as a Safety Engineer/Advisor or as a Quality Control expert.
I'll settle for industrial engineering as it encompasses other areas aside quality control, it is far better than the food & nutrition I had in mind to study.
But my major concern is, can i get a school to accept my low GRE score (296) and low CGPA (3.08 on a scale of 5).
I don't have the time to rewrite GRE as i work 12hrs daily including saturdays.

Update: i was able to get an answer via google which i think was helpful .............

Your scores will be sent out approximately 13 days after your test. Once they’re in the mail, it will take about 7-10 days for them to reach their destinations. This is only if you’re mailing your scores to universities in the US, though. If you mail your scores to universities outside the United States, you should allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. When planning for your deadlines, remember: scores are put in the mail 13 days after your test AND then take 7-10 days (or 4-6 weeks internationally) to be mailed.

No, you don't need i90 confirmation. The only things you need to schedule an appointment are your DS-160 confirmation no, SEVIS ID, visa receipt no and other details that will be in your I-20. Just make sure you recieve the confirmation at least two days before your interview date.

Hello all!! We are giving out 50 percent fees reduction for GRE,TOEFL, GMAT AND SAT. We understand that many nairalanders would like to write one standardised test or the other, for thier Fall admissions, but owing to the harsh economy situation of the country in recent time, only few could achieve this. We have deemed it fit to assist few but serious individuals who are willing to take this test. Limited offer available, and its for first come first serve. We have done this before and we are here to do this again. Wishing you all the very best
