To all my fellow newbies and not-so-newbies, we really need to start reading and researching this whole express entry process. This is a very expensive process, not just financially but also emotionally. We are talking about relocating our families to a new country where everything is different.
It's very discouraging and frustrating to see the same questions asked over and over again. Let's learn to use the search bar at the top of the page if we can't read from the first page of the thread. We need to get serious about this.

Okay, so sometime ago we organised an IELTS listening webinar for some guys on this thread and the feedback was really good. Now, we've got some more time on our hands and will organize another this Friday (tentative). Date will be confirmed tomorrow. If you want to join in, send me a PM and I'll book you in. It's free. The idea is to touch on cool strategies for listening and hopefully also reading and writing. Joining instructions will be sent to the email with which you PM. Holla, if interested smiley

The number posted by smslive is their telephone number. This one here is the fax number. Besides, these numbers are there on their website. I think it would've been better for you to fetch them from source.

Everything you are asking about is too early hold on for a while your application is not up to a month yet.

One of the elders on this thread(forgotten who) once said, for your present place of work, your reference letter should not be more than 3months. That is why I stopped my hubby from requesting for his letter. Please we need more clarification o

Yes you are right. That is why its encouraged to start the process on time before once status to remain expires. My friend overstayed his PGWP and he is wondering how to go about his EE given that he overstayed his permit.

That's a sad issue from "village people oooo".....anyways that's why people spread a 1 year course into 2yrs so that you get 3yrs PGWP or once u grad and you can't find a job in ur city, move to a smaller province with less competition but whatever your choices, don't over stay illegally in canada. Their wahala in that regards can be devastating. I wish the guy all the favour God has to offer grin

There is no written rule I have seen on how old your reference letter should be. Common practice is that you shouldn't use a reference letter that is too "old". No definition on how "old" is measured. If you are using a reference letter from a previous letter, it can be as old as 5-6 months I guess, but for current employers, just play safe and stay between 2 to 3 months. Mine was 2 months old.

Hi Everyone, we received a request yesterday to submit our passport for COPR. We have 15 days from yesterday to forward the passports to ACCRA and our medicals will expire April 5th and we are require to be in Canada before that date. We submitted our application on the 18th of April, 2017.

Our worry now is that we are not sure our passports will be processed within this very short period and besides we are honestly not prepared to leave within this short notice. Truth be told, we had given up because it was taking forever for them to conclude the process and we committed ourselves to a whole lot of other things. My spouse is very engage with work at the moment and by virtue of his position at work, he will have to give at least 6 months notice prior resignation.

We intend to request for extension of our medicals validity or perhaps go for another medicals but we are not sure if it is possible and how to go about it. Our thought when we applied was that the visa will be approved within six months and that will give my spouse enough time to notify his employer.

Experts in the house, your guidance on how to handle the situation will be most appreciated.

Short Landing should solve this. Just land for a while, get your PR card and return. You can stay back in Nigeria for up to two years before returning. Your Hubby can apply for leave from work, this depends on how long the employer will be willing to agree to.

Guys please I have a question. I will be happy if someone can answer the question for me.
I intend to send my Transcript for evaluation to IQAS. But I just discovered that my Transcript has my age on it which does not tally with my intl passport. I have gone to my school to rectify the age which they have refused to listen to me, and have told me it can't be possible. So now I am stuck with the transcript.

What do I do ? As I intend to request for my school to send my transcript to IQAS. Should I get an affidavit and send as well to IQAS? Please what do I do?
