I am on my way to work this morning and I am listening to Great is thy mercy by Donnie McClurkin and seeing other Nigerians struggling made me shed a tear. Growing up, all I saw was a good people who had hope that one day, Nigeria would benefit them and they would at least smile. But successive Governments failed them but they still persevered- then came the Jonathan era when the igbos decided to open the wounds of the civil war and show the Yorubas “pepper” but that still didn’t dampen my hopes in Nigeria. I however was oblivious of a greater danger was lurking in the corner in the form of “extremist Islam” largely by the North and some sections of my own Yoruba tribe. The terrorist attacks of the last 8 years with the resurgence of Islamic extremists who want to forcefully turn the country into an Islamic Republic is what will finally destroy this country and not the corruption that Buhari and his hordes of jihadis keep yapping about. At this point, all I want to do is keep listening to my Donnie McClurkin and dreaming of the modalities for my emigration to a better place. As for the igbos, I don’t blame them for being so bitter about the civil war and their loss of influence in Nigerian politics, I would never understand because I am not in their shoes to feel the pain. Subject of my epistle: Nigeria is a failed state. 4 Likes 1 Share |

And you'll be in that Niggeria watching it happen with not one single country giving you any avenue to escape. I have told igbos to fight and defeat Yorubas in a bloody war in the heart of Lagos if you hate us so much. Since we are now the cause of the problems the Hausa Fulanis created in Nigeria. See how ikechuob and his people have derailed my thread? For the record, I have cleared the air on the baseless accusations being leveled by these people. I can’t fathom why they can’t assimilate the message in my thread instead and trying to apportion blames. What is my own, I have passed my message and the target audience have seen it. |

resurgentxtian4:Igbos are generally stubborn. You have to accept that fact. They don't forgive when they feel betrayed, you also have to accept that. Their cry might seem like they hate others but trust me, if you make Nigerian better by 50% today, all those cry will end. All they care about is progress. Not the presidential post. They are angry because they feel something is holding their progress. They are all over Nigeria because they are very adventurous in a nature. All they care about is success and success but when it seems like some persons are hindering their success, what else do you expect them to do? An average Igbo wants to prosper against all odds... but see the situation in Nigeria, just look at things. we keep getting worse... They may sound bitter, they may sound hateful, they may sound angry but inside that bitterness, anger, hatefulness and so on lies a heart that wants to see Nigeria progress. They angry because each time they propose a way forward, it is always the Yorubas that come with one tactics to weaken them. The Yorubas are smart but I don't feel they are using that smartness wisely. We have to accept that the problem is not any part of the South, the earlier we accept this fact, the better for the country. The problem is the North! But I am sure the Yorubas will never work with other group of the South. Let's forget that Igbos have always been at loggerhead with the Yorubas, what effort have they made to make sure that South South works with them harmoniously? I have never seen that? The Igbo man's approach often appear hash and crude when they propose it but looking at it empirically, you see that it is a long term benefit for all. Tell me one thing that they have proposed, either break up or restructuring, though hard, that isn't better than what we are currently facing? How I also wish that the Niger Deltans will just put a complete stop to ALL oil production in the country UNTIL we renegotiate the terms of our collective existence as a country. Whether we accept this or Not, the South still holds the power to turn this country around... my worry is that the Yorubas willl ALWAYS be the loophole which the North uses to undermine the South and the rest of the country at large. the question is , who will bell the cat? I was forced to start looking for prices of houses sold in Ghana yesterday. I personally do not like the idea of leaving Nigeria and travel out to a white man's country. I am hustler like any igbo man should be, even though I am currently having some set backs, but I know God will prevail. I think I will rather move my family, when it is time, to Ghana and operate my business, which is still in nascent stage in Nigeria. This is will even give me an opportunity to sell my products/services to both Nigerians and Ghanaians, after all, my maternal grand mother was a Ghanian who came to Nigeria. 2 Likes |

https://www.nairaland.com/4413833/north-nigerias-problem-yoruba-council OP, see why Igbos are angry? Look at the link above and tell me why it was locked? A Yoruba man's forum closed a thread because it spoke against the North, tomorrow someone will say SW's is not the problem of the South... Give me one forking good reason why that thread should be locked, what rule was disobeyed? 2 Likes |

remedick: God bless you and yours for being a reasonable igbo man and for taking the time to calmly explain your grievances to me. See ehn, I am tired too and I think the problem we have are the Muslims of Yoruba extraction. They are the ones that have chosen to work with the North because of their religion. I used to have hope in the nation and that is partly the reason why I am now stuck in naija. I am of marriageable age but I can’t marry because of I am scared that will trap I and my family in this country. At this point/juncture, I can only advice youths to plan how to leave the country because in a matter of years, we shall descend into a bloody civil war to solve the Nigerian question. I however detest the attitude of some igbos blaming ALL Yorubas like we all support the North, the igbos should be to be diplomatic in airing their grievances sometimes. We are all aggrieved with the state of the nation, it is just in varying degrees. 1 Like |

remedick: The situation is laughable as it is. Calls are now being made for we Niger Deltans to get involved in this miserable affray but everyone seems to forget our own decades of disenfranchisement, the rigmaroling games of various corrupt Nigerian military govts, the long-throated North and the bloody oil co's all pillaging our own neighborhood. Mehn, we did what we had to do, and we ain't shy of doing more! It is what it is, Nigga., you do anyhow, you see anyhow! See how Ipobians were being messed up and molested with their own tax money just for calling for referendum, restructuring or cessation? Bullshyt talk about Python Dancing & Crocs Smiling from the nuzzle of F00lani-ordered gun! And Nijeriyan wandering relatives of Hausa get to run around killing free without any restraints? Guy, bone. If half the other tribes could do less talking, we won't be here! The way you swing determines what swings your way. And yes, those Yoruba Muslims are dirty-headed and guilty as furk. They think their northern bros got their back but those retardss see them as mongrels? Which kinda god is that? What furked up religion is that? You guys first draw the line on talk, we're done talking! |

Bros what you said is a sad truth but on quitting, I disagree. You tend to forget God in your analysis. Let stay here, repent of our pseudo Christianlty and pray hard. Islam will be destroyed in nigeria |
