Thanks
smslive2:
Professional certifications are not required for evaluation.
i would advice you wait and finish your PGD before evaluation, so you can claim additional points with your BSc.
Also, while waiting, register for your IELTS and aim to score at least L-8, R-7, W-7, S-7

Go to Nigeria open university and register for a postgraduate diploma of any course of your choice . Application and payment closes on the 18th of this month. I read here that if you choose to complete a pgd with them, one stands a chance to finish by december.. This will add additional marks to gain 2 or more degree s

Thanks, I will try this.

Good day all. So much unnecessary banters in the last few pages though. I just thought it will be wise to chip in something. For those wanting to do a PGD in NOUN, why don't you go for Masters degree instead? A Master degree holds more points than a PGD and first degree combine. I believe it will take the same amount of time for a Master degree program as it will take on a PGD program in NOUN (18 months). If you had a BSc in say Computer Science and came out with at least a 2.2, it will be really unfortunate to go do a PGD in NOUN while you can simply opt for a MSc in Info Tech. Just my one cents.

For those making inquiry about the cost, just budget about N200,000 for an MSc or PGD program in NOUN.

With the credentials you stated above, you can get 441 by improving your IELTS. You'll need at least 8.5L and 7.5 in speaking, assuming your reading and writing stays the same.
You can also register for a post graduate course as OP suggested, but if I were in your shoes I'll go with the first option. Cheers

I will look into doing this. Although I was also advised to recalculate.

Nice stuff.. PGD should be when bridging or when u got a third class.. It is same timeline. For example, M. Sc Info tech has 40 to 42 credit units while PGD has about 30 to 36 credit units to graduate including projects. So set aside 200k to 300K or go learn French or sth else.. to boost ur eligibility or/and CRS score.

Ive been sulking all day jare LOL

My IELTS results shook me o. first thing I said to my husband was "this is not my result"

First Attempt

L-7.5

R-8.5

W-7.0

S-8.0

My second attempt written march 24th
L-7.5
R-6.5
W-7.0
S-7.0

I was really shocked because I found reading super easy and I went over my answers couple of times. I was also certain I would ace listening but I was unsure about writing and speaking but there we have it.

My husband got L-6. R-6, W-7 and S-7

So we decided only I will re-write..his scores gives me 16 points. (I'm the PA), I'm going with IDP next time. Its obvious something isn't right with British Council

I am forging ahead! My body, soul and spirit is certainly not in Nigeria anymore
For those of us in the same boat, lets not give up please

The rewards are too great

That's the spirit. More power to ur elbow. BC has bitten off more than it can chew, people should try IDP now on.

Exactly! I think BC are scanning and skimming our answer sheets like the reading module. They make a TON of money anyway so they probably cant be bothered to be thorough anymore

My dear Sthillz,

Don't worry too much because success is sure soonest. Right from the day I wrote that exams I knew something was wrong with my listening session because I was seriously nervous. This affected me so much as my whole body was shaking (first attempt things..... Lol).

Well, I have registered for 21/04 God's willing. This time IDP abeg because that BC lady @ Sheraton contributed to my anxiety by her actions and nonsense announcement that day.

It's well Madam.
I've told myself that the more I think about the result, the more I won't be able to move on and practice for another test.
After receiving my TRF from British Council, I went straight to MOD/IDP and registered for April 21 date.
However, I would apply for a remark at BC on Monday.
8.5, 9, 6, 7.5 in LRWS is not beans to throw away just like that.
It would end in praise for all of us.

Awwww Hugs!

I don't even know if you`re male or female lol

I have a lot on my plate with work so I decided I will do May with IDP which also gives me enough time to prepare. At least we don't have to re-enroll for two people, that's small consolation LOL

Thank you so so much @happytbaby

[Qquote author=happytbaby post=66475832]What is the concern? Is it because it's your father's company? If that is the issue....imagine Dangote's child working for who? Working for your Daddy's company is not a crime.

The only issue here is that they my be more detailed in trying to verify that she actually worked there, because people can easily lie about this kind of thing. She may explain that it was her father's company and back the reference up with statement of account showing payments coming from the company into her account. Else, she may be silent about the relationship after all Daddy does not have to be the one to sign the reference. However, remember that a Google search might bring it up.

Please be mindful of social media profiles too.

Hello people,

Is it considered misrepresentation to answer no/nil to spouse work experience during profile creation?
Pls bare in mind that spouse work history would be INDICATED in personal history post ITA and spouse is also contributing to POF.
