Hi Tomiade, congrats on your approved trv. I think its wiser and smarter to apply after you are fully enrolled in school before submitting an application for your spouse. The probability of your spouse getting approved before your arrival is next to zero.

Also, I am sure if you try to read some 20 pages back, you would get to see documents submitted for SOWP.

Good day House, what is the possibility of getting my wife's SOWP approved with my approved TRV. I heard i would need my study permit (which would be issued at the point of entry) and a letterof enrolment from my school stating information about me and my course. But from my observation from comments here, i did not see any mention of these documents.

The filled forms
My statement of account (note I didn’t use bank account, I used Mutual funds cos that way they just gave me a letter to the embassy. Bank account will show when you move money in and if it’s not up to 6months, they won’t trust that it is your money)
My other assurance accounts
My husband’s statement of account
His student permit
His employment letter
Letter of Explanation (got the clue from here, you have to be very emotional while writing it)
Letter from my employer
My CV
Family pictures
Deed of gift( I got my dad to transfer a property to me because our 1st application indicated rejection due to no tie)
Document of our property
We have been rejected before and funds and no ties were the main issues.
We made them understand that we both have parents alive and I go home often so we can’t abandon home.
A lot of prayers o, that the VOC that will review our documents will be in good mood.

My side dey chief Samchi2014. I honestly understand how you feel about your application but we just have to be very patient for these guys.

Sometimes it's faster, sometime it's slower, but patience is just the key. Be prayerful (If you believe in it), then channel your energy to something more worthy of your time.

I think you once sent me a pm some weeks back, you didn't follow up. Search @Shola1064 post in March/April 2017. He posted his own masked LOE

We never had that issue and I have never travelled outside the country before

The gist is Nigerian applicants now have to fulfill LICO requirements before we can be granted visas for SOWP. I have been seeing refusals based on that since Last year and I think it has come to stay. Now, LICO is a must.

My advice: I have treated similar refusals in the past with just an increase in the available funds that is slightly above lico and approvals were gotten.

So please do same.

Mark is right. You just have to show the money, it’s like that’s the new trend.
That was one of the reasons we were rejected at first.

No one has an idea of what the CBSA officer might ask, I mean s/he could for anything. Please prepare your mind and make sure documents are with you in your carryon luggage.

Honestly as long as you did not submit any fake documents you should be fine.. every or also all applications are properly vetted before approval so nothing to fear.. your passport. Your proof of funds if possible. And your honesty.
REMEMBER NO ONE IS OUT TO GET YOU THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ENTER CANADA EACH DAY..

the priority here is not to refuse you entry.. it’s to make sure you’re not a risk!

My husband got a new job few days after I submitted my application, I want to know if their are ways I can inform IRCC of this changes or I should just wait till I am been asked. Thank you.

Was your husband doing a job that fell within NOC O, A or B b4 you applied? If no, I advise you to cancel your application and reapply.
If he had no job b4 u applied, you should cancel as well cos these people don't look at additional documents after submission except you were requested to submit them

My husband jobs is a NOC A categories but he just moved to another company and a better position still a Noc A and a much better pay. Though his initial job pay which we used to apply is OK and above the LIcOs cut off but his new pay doubles and I feel might help the application better. Thank you
