Let us recall an important event in the live of Jesus Christ that We also ought to replicate in our day. The event is described in the Gospel of Luke (Luke 2:22–40). According to the gospel, Mary and Joseph took the Infant Jesus to the Temple in Jerusalem forty days (inclusive) after his birth to complete Mary's ritual purification after childbirth, and to perform the redemption of the firstborn son, in obedience to the Torah (Leviticus 12, Exodus 13:12–15, etc.). Luke explicitly says that Joseph and Mary take the option provided for poor people (those who could not afford a lamb; Leviticus 12:, sacrificing "a pair of turtledoves, or two young pigeons." Leviticus 12:1–4 indicates that this event should take place forty days after birth for a male child

Why do Christians not offer a lamb (for wealthy ones) or 2 young pigeons (for poor ones); when they take their first born sons (that open the womb) to the Church?

Are we not also going to hell by not doing this?

The 12th Levites got nothing but an assignment. To cater for God's temple and the surroundings.

God commanded the other 11tribes to pay 10th of their produce, (Note, not money) to the Levites, ONCE A YEAR. NOT EVERY MONTH. Only Levites were ordained by God to receive tithe. Your pastor is not a Levite, he's a thief.

Now, what do levites do with all the tithes they collect? They don't work, so they feed themselves and family, cater for the widows and orphans. But before this, they take 10% of what they collected and give to the priests inside the tabernacle for sacrifices to God. Now, these priests became corrupt, they sell these 10% given to them and that is why there was shortage of sacrificial materials in the temple. So God was talking to those thiefing priests in Malachi, not you. You're Christians meaning you are following Christ. If Christ and his disciples never paid tithe, why should one thief force you to pay? Why the threat?

I don't believe any testimony or life experiences that is contrary to the teachings of the scriptures.So we should ignore the words of the scriptures and listen to the testimonies of David Youngi Cho? Are you for real?

FYI the teachings of the law were reinforced in several other OT scriptures and not just tithes but they were all annulled by the death of Jesus on the cross.The Apostles did not teach us tithing under Christianity. They never practised it.Who are thes emen you mentioned? Who agve them the power to institute tithing in Christianity to the extent of saying those who don't pay will go to hell!!!

Another gospel? No my brother, you're getting it all wrong. Remember I said, both proponents and opponents of this tithing draw their positions from the Bible. And I asked you, what position will God take on all these considering they are all in the scriptures. We all are learning including our pastors. You might think you know it all from the Bible, but be very careful. We must also watch out for deceptions

I am not saying you must pay or not pay. Every body has his/her choice to make. But my point is considering all of the above, we must be careful not to quickly assume a position on this and indeed any other matter of the scriptures. There are clear and well documented stories of people who have died and are that were verified, who got a chance to come back at the command of God for the purpose of warning people of somethings they are getting wrong which leads alot of believers to hell. We can't just push all of them away because there are fakes, sure the devil will fake that as well. But we must look at what they say and compare it with scriptures!

There is no single instance on CHRISTIANS paying tithes in the bible. There is no single instance where Tithes were paid with money in the bible. There is no single instance where people paid weekly or monthly tithes in the bible. The proponents of modern day tithing do not have any scriptural basis for their teachings!!!!



The scriptures is very explicit in these issues of tithes and the jewish laws.It was a very serious issue in the early church which necessitated the convoking of the first church council in Jerusalem in the year 46 CE.The resolutions are very clear and explicit and tithing nor any other jewish laws were not required of the gentile converts of the new faith.

Actts 15:7-29

It will too bad that because of money 2000 years later new generation pastors are disregarding the resolutions of these great church councils as recorded in the scriptures and bringing up strange teachings that has no scriptural basis

There's nothing like afford it in tithing. Tithing simply means 1/10 of a person's earning. Even if the persons salary is 3900, they are supposed to pay 390 as tithe.

The GOD of all ages spoke directly to me, this is what He said to me, and let me just say that He was ANGRY. When He spoke, His voice went through my bones like a massive vibration!!! The angel answered, “Pastor Park Yong Gyu, a person can appear to be a true follower of Christ on the outside but God knows the heart. They did not tithe properly (other sins were also named, see full testimony for details) ….On their death beds, they thought they had done a good job so they did not repent of those things. This is why they were thrown in the fires of Hell.”

I was a Christian leader, for 20 years I had known Christ, but during the 20 years I said: all that money from my tithing and offerings were just to sustain the pastors, but now I regret it because I understand and I know that it wasn’t for them, it was for the Lord, and that is why I say I have stolen from God. At this very moment there are many people on Earth that are robbing the Lord like I did. When you return to Earth, tell all those people who don’t want to give their offerings and tithes, not to steal from the Lord, otherwise, they’ll wind up in Hell, and no thief will enter the Kingdom of Heaven. The cutting off of Messiah happens in 33AD when Rome crucified Jesus Christ. E proope of the prince that came were the forces of Rome. The city of Jerusalem was finally destroyed in 70AD by Rome; the end thereof was with a flood; Rome flooded Jerusalem with her troops and sacked the temple of God. Verse 27 is just a continuation of what Rome did in Jerusalem. Then inhabitants of Jerusalem became desolate, many of them were enslaved, me were sent to Rome to go and fight with lions in the coliseum, many fled into the interiors of Africa where they still are today, they were a good source of slaves for both the trans Saharan and trans Atlantic slave trade. It was the consummation and what was determined was poured upon the desolate.
