So WES finally decided to finalise my evaluation and the good news is the ACCA Advanced Diploma for finishing papers F1 to F9 is equivalent to a 3 years Bachelor's degree. So for anyone looking for extra certificates, you can get it evaluated to supplement your bachelors if you've sat for those papers. Now all we need is someone to evaluate the diploma given for papers F1 to F3.

Hello everyone,

Congrats to all those who received ITA yesterday. I have to start by saying thank you very much to everyone, I have gained a lot from the previous thread. I work at a small private firm with no online presence. What documents can i submit alongside my application as suggested by Glitteringstar? Do i include documents such as certificate of incorporation? Submitting contracts with customers would be breaching confidentiality so please any advice would be appreciated.

GlitteringStar:
I received my GCMS notes yesterday. I ordered for it on the 26th of March (post-COPR smiley) so that I can know the full details about my application. These are the few points that I noted from the GCMS notes.

Congratulations. Thank you for the feedback.

What is our CRS now?

If you are only claiming the first three (2 years 4 months)and your CRS doesn't drop as you'll be claiming points for 2 years and not 3 years. Then move company D to personal history otherwise you'll need to get reference for it.

Goodluck.

Duly noted with thanks.

I am so sorry about this.

In choosing the translation NOC, my first thoughts would be 'were the translation duties included on the reference letter?", If not, it might be better to beef up the reference letter and go with the editing NOC that was used initially, (she cannot be seen to be changing roles on the same job) the reference letter could state that they were aware of her initial rejection and that portions of her duties were omitted. She would also need to write a strong LOE about the initial rejection. We could look at this (LOE) together via PM when you are ready.

Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by dupyshoo: 5:38pm On Apr 26, 2018
1.She might need to provide other proofs/evidences as well that she actually did those duties. What about her appointment letter? Does it contain her duties? What percentage of the duties stated in the NOC was in the letter she submitted with her application?

2. This with more substantial evidences might work.

3. Are the 2 roles under the same employment? If yes, why did she not include the details in her previous application. Don't think this will work.
Itissettled3:
Good afternoon everyone, please I need your advice.

My sister's application got rejected after 7 months for NOC. They had called her for an interview and asked her to state her work duties. They asked her some duties which she confirmed she did them but the interviewer asked her why her boss didn't include it in the reference letter.

Long story short. She was rejected.

Now we want to reapply. My questions are:-

1. Can she get a new reference letter from her boss with all of the duties and resubmit her application? She actually did those duties but when her boss didn't include it in her initial reference and being that she had to travel a long distance to pick it up, she assumed what she had will go through and used it like that.

2. If she does the above, hope it will not be interpreted as Misrepresentation? She can beg her boss to do an affidavit confirming she did those jobs.

Kindly assist us with answers as we are heartbroken at the moment. After 7 months.

Your profile will be ineligible if you use any work experience that is less than one year as your primary NOC. Company A, B or C cannot be your primary NOC. To be qualified for the Federal Skilled Workers Program, you need to have at least one year continuous full-time (at least 30 hours of paid work per week) or equivalent part-time work experience in an occupation that is categorized under NOC A, B or 0.

I'm not sure you're correct on this one. It's the NOC that matters not the duration at a particular company. She has 2 years 4 months in the same NOC ( I'm assumingthe NOC is A,B or 0). She qualifies under FSW.

We are planning to get a copy of the newspaper and portion where her name appears as the editor.

Her appointment letter doesn't contain duties.

About 50%

I was advising she reapplies but she is saying we should raise a CSE with all evidence and they might reopen her application. What do you all think?
Hi Everyone,

I just got ITA yesterday
and I have started filling my application. Please I need help on the Work/Personal History section.

The Work Experience in my EE profile was as follows:

1. Company A: 10 months (with NOC code 4121)
2. Company B: 11 months (with NOC code 4121)
3. Company C: 7 months (with NOC code 4121)
4. Company D: 1-year NYSC (with NOC code 3131)
You got ITA yesterday and from your summary am sure your NYSC was used for offering that invitation based on this below

Minimum requirements
Skilled work experience
Your work experience must be:

in the same type of job as your primary NOC
within the last 10 years
paid work (volunteer work, unpaid internships don’t count)
at skill type 0, or skill levels A or B of the 2016 National Occupational Classification (NOC)
at least 1 year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous:

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/express-entry/become-candidate/eligibility/federal-skilled-workers.html

So your NYSC NOC is your primary NOC

Some actually has done it and was given a 1year Canadian college certificate for passing F2 n F3 after claiming exemption for F1.

The issue is does this college certificate qualify as a second certificate?

Those that know better should chook mouth ontop the matter.

Many thanks happytbaby.

I will refrain from moving work experience to personal history.

So please should I go ahead and get reference letter for the NYSC even though it's not my Primary NOC?

Also, can A, B and C be combined to form more than 1 year experience?

Thanks again.

It seems your ITA was based on your NYSC experience(1year).Hence, it should be your primary NOC and in my opinion you should get d ref letter for it.

Hmm. My colleague's brother used NOC code 1111 for experience as a finance/audit officer from 1 bank, a supermarket chain coy and a pension company. None of the 3 jobs was up to one full year individually, cos he was an entry level staff who kept looking for the next big thing. He combined all 3 expereriences in his application. He is leaving for Canada in July. We need to spell out what really works in this situation, cos this thing is confusing at times. Does this affect only eligibility? Cos I am beginning to wonder how he did it.

Work experience caveat says: full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours) Does this apply to having different jobs at the same time or continuously at different times?

Thank you. I just saw you had addressed that notion. She's more than qualified but with 2 years 4 months. So it's her CRS score I will be questioning. Hope she didn't round up to 3 years?

Na wa for this your interpretation o. Why is the NYSC her primary NOC? Because it's her first job? Or because she has a full year on the job? Your primary NOC is what you're claiming points for in her case it's the 4121. She can afford to move the NYSC if she's not claiming points for it.

Well, I worked with my friend to appeal her refusal and it was re-opened. Visa was granted.

However, in her case they overlooked information that she provided. In your sister's case, the information was not provided.....the time to raise CSE was before the decision was taken. You could try though, there is no harm in trying, the worst they can say is "no".

Newspaper publication where her name appears is good evidence to substantiate her claims.

For the love of God, please update that profile. You can complete all those other ones later. Just be sure the liquid money is made available and POF ready before you submit your application. You don't have to wait for any amount of time as thought.

See me lean with fasting for an ITA and my brethren is here causing go-slow. Where's that side eye emoji?
Thanks you for your response. I truly appreciate. Don't worry you go fat wella when you get the ITA.
Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Workers Program- Connect Here Part 4 by Nobody: 6:54pm On Apr 26, 2018
Newmum0615:

My sister, this primary NOC issue caused confusion on this thread last year too. According to IRCC, one must meet the minimum requirement (i.e the work experience must be at least one year continuous full-time or an equal amount in part-time) to be eligible for the FSW program. The rest of the work experience can be under multiple NOCs (A, B or 0).

I read the posts of some of the gurus on Canadavisa forum and they all said the same thing (i.e to be eligible, one must have at least one year continuous blah blah). But then, we are humans and we all make mistakes. I decided to check CIC's website for more details and I saw this:

Your work experience must be:

*at least 1 year (1,560 hours total / 30 hours per week), continuous:

-full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours) or
-equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours) or
-full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)

Note that IRCC further subdivided "at least 1 year continuous work experience" into three groups (full-time at one job or equal amount in part-time or full-time at more than one job). Does the above (full-time at more than one job) means that one can combine work experience under the same NOC to meet the eligibility criteria (i.e at least one year continuous blah blah )? Well, I'm not sure of the right answer to the question because of the word "continuous". Or maybe the word "continuous" means there must be no gap between the first job and second job (both in the same NOC) that makes up the one year.

Anyway, since you said that your colleague's brother combined them and he will be traveling to Canada in July, grin then maybe it is possible to combine work experience under the same NOC to meet the 1 year eligibility criteria.
