I no longer believe in Jesus or Mohammad as God’s messengers or saviors or messiahs. I am not an atheist either. I believe in God. But I no longer acknowledge any middleman between me and God.

Jesus Christ is fake!. Muhammad is a disease!!. They were both invented when Europeans and Arabians were blind.

I don’t know about you, but for me what gives me serious concern is poverty in Africa and figuring out why we are in our present predicament and how to come out of it. So, I made this discovery after writing the book; intellectual slavery, the worst legacy of colonialism, which dealt with the academic part of our enslavement. After writing that book, I suddenly realized our continued enslavement in Africa is composed of two parts; namely: (1) intellectual slavery (2) spiritual enslavement.

The system of education inherited from our various colonial masters which removes our native languages as language for knowledge acquisition, enslaves us intellectually, while Christianity and Islam enslaves us spiritually.

You may ask; why now? The reason I am saying so now is because for many years, I couldn't reconcile religion as one of the causes of our underdevelopment in Africa. I thought to myself that since Shintoism is also practiced as a religion in Japan, and Confucianism in China, so religion cannot be a hindrance to development. It never occurred to me that because those religions are indigenous to China and Japan, it would not hinder spiritual well being and overall social development.

Therefore, the purpose of this thread is to help Africans understand the origin and evolution of religions and to banish the widespread delusion in the belief in a virgin born God called Jesus Christ or any so called holy Muhammad, a supposed messenger to Allah, not minding the many errors and evil in the religion.

Jesus and Mohammad were used to enslave our ancestors, and with the numerous evils growing legitimately out of this beliefs- among them the most important of which is it's cramping effect upon the mind of the believer, which obstructs the rational use of the mind, logic, reason, and overall mental growth and thus constitutes a serious obstacle to the progress both of the individual and society at large.

According to the science of archeology, paleontology, genetics, the first humans lived in Africa, somewhere at the beginning of the river Nile (see image link above). The first humans lived in the area around Rwanda, Congo, Burundi, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia. We are talking about millions of years ago.

Imagine living around that period. No science, no technology, no explanation for natural phenomena like thunder, rain, earthquake, hurricane, night and day, comets, etc. If earthquakes happen it was attributed to a God. If comets pass by the night sky it was attributed to a God. If thunder strikes it was attributed to a God. They simply tied these natural phenomena to Gods and indeed called them God. These early men looked up in the sky and every day they saw the sun and the moon. They began to think of the sun and the moon as a deity, a God. So, every unexplainable natural event was attributed to a God. We still do that today.

That's why in Yoruba land, Shango is said to be the God of thunder. In Igbo land, if a comet pass by the night sky, people count some numbers quickly and wish themselves good luck before the comet disappear. It is said that if you count quickly before the comet disappear, you would have good luck by the Gods.

Eventually, they developed some people among them who were interpreters of the unknowns or middle men between man and God. These early interpreters evolved from spiritualists to kings and they acted as priest-kings. Indeed, this is how kingship and dynasties evolved all over the world. A dynasty was simply a descendant of such priest-kings.

In his book; man, God, and civilization, John G. Jackson, wrote ''the ancient magicians were the first men to form a leisure class in primitive societies, and when human society reached the agricultural stage, some of the magicians had evolved into priest and kings. In fact, the priestly and kingly offices were frequently combined in the person of one man.

In the pyramid texts of ancient Egypt, it was recorded that kings were more ancient than the Gods, and the same belief was held by the Brahmans of India. The doctrine of the divine right of kings stems from the belief that kings in olden times were actually Gods.''

Over many thousands of years, as people became more civilized, the kings later became just the representatives of God on earth- the only one ordained to speak or hear from the Gods. In ancient time, the Ooni of Ife would be the representative of God in his kingdom. The Obi of Onitsha would have been the representative of God as well as ruler of his people.

I am a christian through and through...a catholic...but I see sense in what the op is saying. Religion and culture are tied together. It will be conflicting if ur religion and ur culture are dissimilar. U will end up contradicting urself. Africa is today majorly christian or muslim. These 2 religions are alien to our cultures. That is why u can see that there is peace in saudi arabia. No terrorism in all of the Real Arab world (saudi, oman, qatar, uae, kuwait). That is why u cannot see extreemly rich pastors in europe.
The richest pastors in the world today are found in poor nigeria. All other muslim countries apart from the real arabs and maybe malaysia are battling terror

In his book, the book of the dead, Wallace Budge, began by saying ''this book is intended to place before the reader in a handy form an account of the principal ideas and beliefs held by the ancient Egyptians concerning the resurrection and the future life, which is derived wholly from native religious works. The literature of Egypt which deals with these subjects is large and, as was to be expected, the product of different periods which, taken together, cover several thousands of years; and it is exceedingly difficult at times to reconcile the statements and beliefs of a writer of one period with those of a writer of another.''
