Not true. They buy regulated quantity at around 360naira to a dollar directly from CBN same price with PTA.
Though officially BDC are not involve in I and E window, BDC participate indirectly through SMEs to augment what they get from CBN.

We are ignorant of a lot of things going on in this country, and I owe nobody any apology.

All these rates are false. Thats what CBN makes we Nigerians to believe, but thats not what is applicable.

CBN sells USD to BDCs at 360, and instructs BDCs to sell at 362 but many don't even get buyers for that rate. Some sell as low as 361.5 even 361......While CBN sell USD to banks at 357, and the banks sell at 360.
The rate bank sells to end users is the rate BDCs buys from CBN. Trust me, I know what am saying and I have proof.

Yes BDC can be more lucrative than money rituals, but that was up until buhari came in, and then a BDC must have a deposit of N35m with CBN which is not part your trading/working capital.

The CBN official rate of 305/306 na only for paper, its not applicable to BDCs. That rate belongs to the inner caucus.

Even Muslim pilgrims get PTA less than N300/$1, and I bet u many of them don't travel with that money. They will go sell it in the black market at 360/362

Many BDC owners are currently sacking their staff, some are even selling their BDC licence because the business is no more lucrative.

Why will the CBN even allow bureau de change work in Nigeria. They have created a parallel market and the CBN are comfy with it. Sigh!

Prevent queues and hoarding in banks (which might be your proposal)?

What would you do with those that would lose employment when you do away with them?
