The good, bad, lazy and ugly exist in every tribe and district. sad So stop peddling your peculiar brand of propaganda. undecided I have met Igbo men that do not take care of their wives, as well as Idoma, Itsekiri, Nupe, ika, etc that do not take care of their wives. I have also met those who do. The landlord of my estate association is a Yoruba man who takes exquisite care of his wife and kids. He bought her a Mercedes jeep 350 last Easter, and they go abroad every summer. He owns a construction firm. He even adopted 2 more kids from an orphanage, and is treating them like his own. Your sister was unlucky to marry a wastrel, who happened to come from another ethnic group. How come she did not notice his lazy ways when she was dating him, and why didn't she call off the relationship then? huh
Thats on rare cases? Yoruba men are mostly fed by their women.. Thats why they like to marry igbonwomen becoz they sabi hussle die.
And also the person I'm talking about is a sister to a friend of mine , not my own sister.
Plus other experiences I know.

My sister can't marry a Yoruba man o.
U guys subject them to hussling life.

nope..... esan, etsako, aniomas and ebiras have similar attire......tho ebiras are also found in Edo north where etsako are reside
I knew it.
Etsakos and Ebiras esecially. Okpella is in the same local government as this groom right?
Anioma attire is different though, they wear that white cloth called akwa ocha together with igbo accessories, while the rest wear materials more similar to aso oke / ofi and use different accessories. But they tie it across the shoulder in similar pattern.

What is the name of that leather strand horsewhip esan and etsakos ut across their shoulder? I love it!

My uncle is from edo and the edo girl he wants to marry plot with her mother and dope my brother, got married to a perceived richer dude who died within 2yrs after their wedding. My point is you should stop the hate and focus on getting a better bride no matter the tribe.

Go back and read my previous posts. sad You guys date the Yoruba girls to while away the time, and have fun. undecided Many of you are not interested in marrying them. When you are ready to marry, you run back to your SE region or your hometown to marry your fellow Igbo girls. The Yoruba girls are now wiser, and so are their parents. They understand these tricks of yours,' so they avoid guys like you....
Lols ur hypocrisy is out of this world.
U accused me of peddling lies.. But u are not peddling lies in ur own case abi.?

Let me tell u.. The reason igbomen dont marry Yoruba women apart from the yoruba parents bad advice is that Yoruba women have foul mouth the can insult for Africa which u know very well. An average Igbo man likes total respect. Which many Yoruba gals dont have.
Its even one of the reason some Yoruba men run away from them.

I have lived in Yoruba land for many years so I know what im talking about

You do not even know what you are saying. sad Look at what you said: "Yoruba women are mostly fed by their women...." Which women? huh This is the same petty propaganda and rubbbish fallacy, that your people have been recycling for years. Two of my cousin's female friends are married to Yoruba men. One of them paid school fees of my cousin's younger brother in the UK. This same man has taken care of his wife and her family till date, over the past 12 years. He is a pure Yoruba man...and to think she did not even want to marry him initially, because she wasn't too keen on him. The second Yoruba guy who married my second cousin is also highly responsible, and takes great care of his wife and kids. Even when my cousin decided to go into private business, he didn't blink and supported her in cash and kind. I have seen first hand how far Yoruba men can go in taking care of their families. So stop saying what you do not know. You are too old to be spreading petty propaganda, recycled from civil war period... undecided

Your sister can marry from the moon. Nobody cares.... sad Na una sabi.

Most Yoruba woman, like their men, have natural loathing and even some inherent hate which manifests as unnecesary antagonism towards igbo men. But Yoruba men love to marry igbo women especially the fair ones and the average igbo women dont naturally loath Yoruba men. Ofcourse there are exemptions to every rule so do give it a try if she is your spec.
As usual...igbos are always innocent. Everybody is always hating on them

my mum is Akoko.. Some part of akoko are more Edo than Ondo (in language and dress code), and there is also akoko edo. We have the ijaws and also few ebiras in the akoko region in our midst. we are mixed in Ondo anyway and we don't have tribe issue. Infact some ondo (ondo town, ile - oluji and okeigbo) people and ogun state people don't meet talk more of talking marriage.
