If you are driving for yourself, then it's okay. You will still make good money on the platforms.

Let us be honest with ourselves.. The "assurance" deposit is the common sense thing to do . This is a no brainer, a driver that is serious should be able to drop at least part of his assurance deposit . I don't fully agree that a guarantor should be involved in any shape of form of assurance deposit at all.. A drivers assursnce is enough. Lets us change the narrative people, but most uber/taxify partners will not listern.. That is why most are broke and in debt.. At the beginning of the thread, I said that maintenance costs will run people out of uber. And boy am I correct.. This is a tough business and also fleet company needs the assurance deposit more than anybody else. This is the best way to go. Cab business in Yankee sometimes ask for deposit, hotel will ask for deposit . We as business man and women, need to follow western business model and see how we can incorporate that into our own business.. If it works for them it should work for us too.
The first reasonable comment from thee. Keep it up

Three things must have happened;
1. You were scammed.
2. Rider had bonus
3.GPS error

There's an app riders use to alter the drivers GPS to the destination as soon as you start trip.

Those who know, know. cheesy

Who will wait for Uber. I dey collect my money. What's is bonus.. and who won scam

Do a review. And do the calculation yourself . Present the value and u will get paid b4 he/she leaves. I can only leave a rider if it is a card trip cos uber/taxify will pay me for that.

I took a rider from ikota villa to gowon estate . Trip calculated 400 naira. The next thing I did was to ask the rider to wait while I send a review. Did the calculation while the rider was also adding and multiplying km by price and time cover plus base fare. When I was done, it was 5,300 . I asked for my money and told him if he is not pleased he can contact uber or Taxify to refund the excess and they will charge me back from my acc. Simple

If a cash rider leaves without paying on taxify. You re on your own. The money will be gone.

That's just the advantage of uber over taxify. And I notice that more owning uber as a rider hardly go back to use the app....

Is there any driver on cabu platform It's like their commission is 10%

Bros leave them na, they're changing the narrative, they will soon change their brain join. I don't understand how some people reason sometimes. So driver security deposit is not enough, they now want guarantor deposit. SMH. Whoever came up with this suggestion, needs to have his/her head examined.

And for the guy advocating for upfront rentals...continue. You will surely drive the car yourself. Nonsense!

People say I talk too much... what you people don't realise I also talk when things are not going smooth.. Yes I talk that I have 8cars + and counting and that am bragging... at the same time I will tell about my losses ..when my car had sludge, I mentioned it and posted the pic for it and offered a solution.. So that people can learn. But at the end ,people will come out and say I have smoke something... now let me get to the matters on things now.

For currant and would be uber/ taxify investors.. Listern very carefully. A driver has just drop my car not too long ago . And guess what ? The driver is owning 13k plus and I didn't collect part of his weekly assurance o. The bastard didn't wait for my manager at all ,he just drop the car and left . And he switch off his phone. Now will have to go and chase his guarantor and also check to see if the car is still OK mechanical wise. When I talk on these thread people will say am crazy, and I mention assurance, people will talk and say this and that. A person even said I come on the thread to spy and use the information to give my drivers hell. Investors collect your assurance o, those that have ears make you hear .. Have made it from now on to start collecting assurance from drivers o. No matter how a driver begs , I will collect my insurance o.. Some of you drivers will say nonsense, that nobody will drive for me. My answer to that is bold and clear. " I will rather have an Army of 5 lions ,than an army of 15 sheeps'' meaning if I can get 5 drivers with assurance deposit.. It is better than 10 cars with no assurance at all.

To end the topic of assurance deposit.. Partners need to make sure their cars are in 100 shape, before giving it out for assurance deposit.. Drivers need to also inspect the car fully .. They should be a clause that says the driver can collect his assurance deposit, he will need to drive for three days to make sure the car is top shape.. If the car is not in top shape, the owner will need to fix the car and make it rite.. Now if the owner refuse to do it , the driver has the rite to collect his assurance money back within a time frame. This is a similar way of how business is done in the western world.. And I will have to talk to other uber partners on the forum to see if we can come up with a thread that will allow us to post list of drivers with their phone numbers that left there partners. So that other partners can be aware .. Trust me if we can't do that on these forum we are just deceiving ourselves. We are just wasting our time on the thread. The major issue is that most of these drivers are coming from these platform, that includes the bad ones and the good ones. I will look into it and go from there. Now for any potential drivers looking for a from me , don't blame me if request for a part of your weekly assurance o.. It is a doggy dog eat world we are in o.. That is the reality o.. I will keep you people posted.. " A word is enough for the wise"

If what you mean is a thread for defaulting drivers, I think It's a really good idea, just create a thread for that. I think the thread will grow itself.
However doing due diligence in the first place before hiring a driver still works well, because not all defaulting drivers will make it into the defaulters thread.
When a driver defaults on me, here is what I do.
I make time every week to add them back to my dashboard, so that they won't enjoy driving for their new partner till they settle with me. Even though it's medicine after death. It works in ensuring I get my dues when push comes to shove.
I make sure to give them advance warning that should they default, they won't be able to drive on the platform in peace, lest I appear unfair when I start to get my pound of flesh back.
