Omeruo is currently the best we have now and he is better than Eze. Like you have rightly said.

Personally I feel Omeruo is better than Leon Balogun. Omeruo save for a few blunders sometimes is rock solid. He may not be tactically good but he has that defensive statement in him which comes in handy when a match is tough. I mean the energetic clearance and push. Leon on the other hand is good tactically but too soft for a modern day defender. He practically loses focus most times but our sentiments (Cos he is white) won't allow us to see that. Take for instance the Algeria match, Injury or no injury he shouldn't have performed that bad but we all swept it under the carpet. Leon flops a lot of times but because Ebony covers for him a lot, we seem not to talk about it. I still remember Balogun's debut against Mexico in 2014,his performance was so poor that day that when he eventually got injured, it was like his saving grace. He was just making reckless and unguarded tackles like Fegor Ogude.

Sir if you look at our CBs very well, a fit Balogun is very important.

Check out our match against Serbia, Ekong still has a long way to go in organising the defence,him and Awaziem lacks this cos they had the same issues against South Africa.

Well, I will first of all want to understand the reason behind FIFA given teams the free license to submit a strong man 35 players list prior to naming of the final 23 man list instead of just naming the main 23 players.

I want to believe that this is done to allow a team to replace any certified injured player/players in the 23 man list prior to the first match of that particular team.

However, it's expected that the remaining players who don't make the 23 man list will still be part of the team, and remain with the team until the team is sure none of their players are out due to injury prior to the first match.

Therefore, all teams are expected to name a strong 30/35 man list or whatever should any injury predicament befalls them.

Suffice to say, no team will make a list to fullil all righteousness or with weaklines but what I am seeing on this list says otherwise.

Maybe, NFF hid the remaining 5 players on the list, I don't know but I am sure Rohr has made up his mind on who and who goes to the world Cup since 1900 before this list was announced today based on what is on the list and he believes no player can be injured before our first match because he is God who can prevent injury from happening hence the weaklines on his list.

I ask myself, starting from the defence, what is Eze playing in Bulgaria doing on the list?

From my viewing of the thread I've been able to identify a few Bosses who are good and I must start with paying homage to them before I officially join the thread. For what's worth, I'm a product of very late 80's so my knowledge of Nigeria football dates back to 1999 U20 tourney. I am an ardent supporter of Super Eagles so we are all on same page.

I can understand putting him in to appease NPL fans, I just feel maybe we could've used that spot to try out a creative tricky player like Kalu. I have only seen YT vids of him and haven't gleaned out enough to see how good he is.
