I don't understand all these stuff like simy was chosen because he's different striker, he is different from ighalo and co. He was only on that league because he's currently in form, he is on fire dazzul!
But Umar was also in good form and didn't get picked.

The list

So Rohr didn't include Onyekuru into the line-up. I won't lie I'm alittle disappointed. I was savoring a front with Moses, Onyekuru and Ighalo with Mikel in the midfield. Anyway the coach knows best undecided.

Simy Nwankwo is benefitting from a steady run of games... In the last 2 seasons, he has barely started games.. With the new coach, he is starting and the goals are flowing. It is similar to Iheanacho, he returned to form when he was getting a run of games instead of 15 minutes at the end.

Simy was quite prolific in Portugal.

With a player like Simy, you can cross the ball if you are struggling to penetrate.. He does well with floated balls.

Based on what, i have seen, I think he will be a good option but it will be hard for him to make the 23. He needs to make an impression when called upon.

I like the look of him.

Onyekuru has not played since his injury.

I agree @ bolded. Especially after he made that "headless chicken" remark.

forgiveness:

I have followed Simy from his days in the second division of the Portuguese league. He was banging in goals there before he went to the first division of the same league. That period was during our preparation to the Olympics and it was suggested he made the list them but unfortunately, he was overloooked.

Moreover, I followed his progress in his first season in the Seria A last season but he didn't really get enough time and even this season. But if I have to rate his over all ability, forget, he is not better than Kayode.

However, I don't think he is good in the air neither the fast type of player you suppose but hopefully he brings something to the table..

Kayode is far better than Lokosa. I don't think the coach really wanted Kayode from the on set. It's an established fact.

Surely, they have back ups. Is it not part of FIFA rules?

Brazil didn't list backup but if someone is injured another player will be drafted in,all these 30 man list na long thing,7 players will be omitted and you can already guess 5 of them right

I think I like him. He gets into positions and never afraid to shoot. Shoots at any slightest opportunity. Sentiment would be hugely decisive in him being amongst the 7 unfortunate guys

Sir if you look at our CBs very well, a fit Balogun is very important.

Check out our match against Serbia, Ekong still has a long way to go in organising the defence, him and Awaziem lacks this cos they had the same issues against South Africa.

Balogun is numero uno in our defence cos his presence dictate our pace and Ekong always come alive, check Ekong performance in his absence.

Honestly good to have Balogun,Ekong,Omeruo and Awaziem in our team.

True talk about Ekong but he led the defence very well against Argentina when Balogun bowed out.

This guy is a poacher and stays in the box. He just might make it since we have only odion as an out and out striker.

OwnGoalNigeria had reported that Umar, Kayode, Ideye, and Musa Muhammad all made Rohr's 35-man provisional list. They are now trying to make a case for their earlier story after the names they mentioned were not included in Rorh's 30-man list. OGN is now claiming that Rohr defied NFF's request for 35 players, naming 30 players instead.

My guess is the NFF had sent out invitations to players that would prosecute the Atletico friendly match (which I believe is not part of Rohr's World Cup plans). OGN must have got it all mixed up.
