There was this guy on nairaland who took four good years to woo a girl. He fed her, paid her rent, clothed her and paid her fees through the university. Not to talk of the showers of gifts on every other special day. He was such a nice guy I must confess. Even with Chioma's sexily tempting well shaped "Behind", he was so honourable and never asked for anything in return. I still wonder how any man could overcome such temptation. He was so in love with her but felt too shy (or is it afraid) to formally ask her to be his girlfriend. Chioma graduated from ESUT with a brilliant grade and instantly got a job with a merchant bank. A few weeks ago, just barely five months into her new job, I saw a wedding card. And surprisingly, my guy was not the groom to be. WHAT HAPPENED? Back then in school, they duo seemed like lovebirds. Although there was nothing formal about their relationship, Terry confessed they had kissed a couple of times and they were informally dating. But that he wanted to take it slow. He loved her so much and wouldn't risk formally putting the question. He wanted to make it special. He said he had plans to surprisingly propose to her on her next birthday. But here are we, perplexed and at a fix on what to even think. Surprising though, she never said anything about her planned marriage or even gave Terry a clue. WHY IS LIFE SO UNFAIR? IS YOUR CURRENT GIRLFRIEND REALLY WORTH THE CHASE? |

It’s not about life being unfair it is a case of refusing to accept how materialistic most Nigerian woemn are these days and being very blind to the obvious. If you always give and she never reciprocates question the validity of that realtionship immediately. |

Ayam not understanding, did he propose to her that she rejected? was chioma suppose to be waiting for ever till "your shy friend" comes out to say his mind? This is why girls fall for the "bad" guys, girls want to hear what girls want to hear. The bad guys are quick to tell you these things but the " good" guys as they call themselves expect you to be a mind reader and just know what's on their mind. |

If the story is true, chioma made the right decision to not end up with a slow poke. The signs are always there for the smart to discern. Love mostly doesn't cost a thing. When you try to force it, you end up with stories like this. Without a guy making things official, a lady that loves you will make it easier for you to say it or even ask you herself. Nothing is ever official about shiits like that. And after making sacrifices for a biitch, she's still waiting for an official announcement, your ass is to be blamed for not dumping her ass ASAP. But these weak guys never see the signs until it's too late. |
