Please I will use abbreviations,pardon I jux want 2 go straight to the point,ive bin a nairalnad guest for so long, before I had a good phone to register and become a member... I must confess nairaland I very interesting, funny and silly post, comments,topics and so on.. Nevertheless,I think Seun or whoever is incharge of this social site should try and upgrade it, der will be a lot of advantages..,wer 1 cn delete unwanted post and comments by themselves, create better emojis,easy way of accessing Messages(public and private) and so on.. Please every1 is free to share their opinions but not to intentionally hurt any1 ..any typographical error or wrong grammar should be corrected peacefully,nt to insult any1 So fellow members of nairaland what do you think? 2 Likes 1 Share |

I think the reason Nairaland still stands solid is the consistency of simplicity. Simplicity is a feature and not a setback. Simplicity got WhatsApp ahead of all other mobile chat platform. I guess this is what Seun has seen right from time. I am often tempted to assume he's probably lazy wrt upgrading NL and even the lack of any update on his personal blog for over 3 years. But I see it requires more courage and strong-will to keep the site almost unchanging even with the beauty of the modern day Web features which includes: Chat, beta Emogi, HTTPS, social integration, etc. We've all witnessed the rise and fall of great web services that had it all. You can mention Yahoo Messenger, Naija Pals, Wonderland, BB messenger, Hi5, Myspace and others. Apart from scaling up database and hosting capacity which are necessary for the ever growing guests and members, I think NL remains the best forum doing nothing more nor less. |
