In a genuine country, Nnana Ocherome can contest and win the country's presidential election.
But in Nigeria, even a Fulani goat presidential candidate can beat Nnanna Ocheromee or indeed any Adebayo Adedeji, in Nigeria's presidential election, no thanks to the lopsided political structure crafted by northern soldiers to favour only northern Nigeria.

In a country formed by diverse regions, land mass is never used as yardstick to consider how many states or provinces or local councils can be created in any region.
With the 19 states littered in every corner of the one northern region, Fulani-controlled northern Nigeria largely determines who must be president of Nigeria.

Wrong.

If the Igbos are interested in the presidency they should approach the Yorubas cap in hand and approach the middle belters cap in hand.

But no. Pride and arrogance will not let them.

That's why they keep getting the crumbs of politics.

The largely moslem core north is united.

The middle belt is mainly Christian, a natural ally for the Igbos. Yet the Igbos will look down on them like they are nothing.

You'll continue to exist in Nigeria like third class citizens. No shaking.

The Idoma and Tiv people will produce Nigerian presidents long before the Igbos will smell that seat. And that will be long after tribes like the Urhobo and Itshekiri have had their persons as presidents.

Nothing here surprises me. I have said it several times on this platform that the Igbos are Nigeria's most bigoted ethnic group. No matter how 'educated' an Igbo man is, Yorubas would always be 'ndi ofe nmanu', while Hausas would continue to be 'cows'. God is just indeed; imagine that Lagos, Abuja or Calabar were Southeastern states, they would have been inhabited by Igbos ONLY...I await your senseless insults Chinedu and Sons.

It's the igbos that are killing and raping?

Poor judgement at its peak. the bloke is a very bitter man to work as a journalist.
Nothing wrong with one having his personal opinion, but when you sit on some positions, you should show some maturity and restraint.
Sadly he has dragged himself and the Organization he works for to disrepute and infamy.

I am Ibo, and unfortunately, most of my People are like this.
I would keep saying, when it is time for the Ibos to have a shot at the Nigerian presidency. Igboland may implode from self induced Fracas, bitterness, hate and Greed
Buhari has been a more deadly bigot than any other and have showed a more poisonous bigotry and support for Fulani tribe than the man has done so wtf!!!

That's a trait of a great man! Go and read about Moses in the Bible, Adolf Hitler, and all great men, they are always like that! Only effeminate and coward men chicken out from showing total support for their own.

Igbos have been brutalised so much in national politics and issues by Hausa-Fulani and Yoruba so I refuse to see anything in whatever the man said.

If you know how Hausa-Fulanis and Yorubas see Igbos or how they talk negative about Igbos in their homes or when discussing national politics and economy, u will hail this man. I have been privy to Yoruba negative discussions about Igbos at a point they didn't know I was Igbo so u better shut up and support your own.

As for Igbo presidency, I really don't want any Igbo person to rule Nigeria because Hausa-Fulani and Yorubas will connive to ensure the persons administration is total ruined and frustrated just to prove a point that Igbos can't rule Nigeria. That's what they did to Goodluck Jonathan.

GEJ is a very simple man...an open minded man with clear heart who wished to make Nigeria a great nation but Hausa-Fulani and Yorubas made sure he failed. They frustrated all his effort....u need to hear from insiders in GEJ govt...that guy GEJ needs to write a book.

So go and sit down....let them do their worst which can never get to what they did in 1966 - 1969 and Igbos emerged greater, so fear not, they can't do more, Nigeria is a dead country, and we all know.

So he was right when he said yoruba's are sophisticated morons.

What else would you conclude for a region who would celebrate such nonsense... how does that rubbish make the life of their children better? How does that provide good health, how does that provide power supply... all that.

Don't forget Buhari tried this same antics with allowance for biafran soldiers BUT majority of igbos didn't celebrate it.. when this man buhari sees that he is forking up, he looks for emotional nerves to sooth.

You and I know that the motive behind it wasn't genuine but an avenue to garner votes. It is a shame that the yorubas will fall for such gimmick and vote for him cos of this.

Look whether you like it or not, Buhari will win... and woe betide any Yoruba person who would complain after he wins cos i hate rubbish. Before that election comes and go, I am working hard to make sure i secure enough funds to stay afloat for the next four years of his reign.

You all can do or say what you want... IGBOS dont know how to say things without hurting but they often speak the truth as far as this country is concerned.

at the end of everything, we all will go back to face the reality of hardship...

Most times some elements just make you hate being a Nigerian. Call for his sack all you want, call for the termination of his life all you want.. it does not change the fact that majority of yorubas celebrate this nonsense that does not even assure them of a better tomorrow...

Ur very poor revision of history and propaganada of lies.

World wide 3 million people are recorded by credible international observers such as the Red Cross, to have die mainly from Nigeria blockade of Biafra advice by Awolowo the then Finance Minister.

Further, the mass killing of Nigerians started in 1953 when the Hausa muslim mass murdered mainly Igbo Christians in Kaduna.

This was even before independence.

Any sane person from that singular event will discern that Nigeria is two different country with the North and South apart.

Political coup happens but it is never an excuse to massacre civilian bystanders.

when a counter coup was already on the way and would have suffice.

U forgot to tell us of the pogrom that followed a counter military coup that led to the murdering of nearly a million igbos in the entire north.

They Yorubas so damn all consequences and call for peaceful division of Nigeria. And after the division, they can ban all Igbos from entering Yoruba land so we all can live in peace, is that too much to ask for

Let us divide the fucking failed nation called Nigeria because Nigeria has no future!

If you like vote Buhari out and vote in late Nelson Mandela, Nigeria won't work!

So long as Hausa-Fulani and Yorubas continue to connive and marginalize Igbos and other Nigerian tribes for their selfish gains, Nigeria won't progress beyond what it is now.

No nation becomes prosperous by marginalization of some parts of its own....it never works and will never work.
