As the number of poor people and destitutes increase in the land because of ill thought out economic policies of this administration....

I think it's commendable that the church is stepping up to do something about it... Kudos to them for putting this kind gesture in place..

Religious belief played a massive part in Nigeria being so poor and many facets of the economy failing so badly and it gets worse. religious belief is responsible for maintaining this freefall as they encourage the poor to concentrate more on afterlife

"don't build treasures on earth, its vanity upon vanities" says a pastor that lives in a mansion out of his many mansions, flies private jet, drives performance cars, eats best quality foods, wears best quality wears, hired the best accountants, attended to by the best quality physicians and doctors but that's not laying treasures on earth, is it?

They'll even say demons are responsible for their poor members not making headway and they should keep fighting their problems with prayers rather than get practical solutions to their problems. political leaders take advantage of this horrible mindset by embezzling funds then turn around and tell the populace to pray for the country, the mumus amongst them would go to church, fall on their knees and pray while the politicians plot how to impoverish them more

How will they determine the most vulnerable? Their youth parish in Eket does same periodically, but only for the most vulnerable and the resident pastor said they know how to determine them. Seem plausible considering they know the environment quite well. But this one?
