Dont, make up your mind that you want to quit. you need to trick your brain to get over it.
First of, you need to let your brain believes you need to make money and you can't only get it through gambling.
Set a limit for yourself, how? The total money you can lose par day is #5000(get your digits right)
go back to that betting store, get your predictions right and play on...... immediately you lose to your limits, DON'T QUIT!
Get some pieces of paper, just try and predict the outcomes of the virtual games, play with the virtual money and see if you lost or won!

do this for a whole month and get yourself the results, are you on the losing side or the winning side.

if you are on the losing side, let this pop into your mind, "you can never win the house"
moreso, if you are winning too, try and get your score sheet and see why you are losing, may be it is 'anxiety' of money or stupidity.
some people get afraid when they have the money and wants to 'play safe' when they have the money to stake' . my friend there is nothing like sure games when it comes to gambling, that's why sometimes... big odds beats smaller odds( topic for another day).

I totally understand. I have my own addictions too. But I also know how to break them.

Being on nairaland is an addiction for me.
Reading is an addiction too.
Creative think is also a real addiction.

I have tried many ways to break addictions, sometimes I replace one addiction with another. Which means, I actually substitute the action, and put another action on the motor neurons that control my addictive programming.

I am able to do this, because I understand the underlying mechanics of the programming which is not physical. It is on a non-physical wiring of the light body. So each time you carry out the act of addiction, serotonim is released to the brain when you play and melatonin is released when you loose. The astral body enjoys the sensations that comes from those 'Aha' moments. You are feeding the demon, which actually is your astral aspect of the memory.

How do you break the cycle ?

At this stage, if you are serious about breaking this totally, without going through abuse. You must follow this rule and undergo total body change.

I want to give you a simple exercise that will break the entire cycle cos it is a total life-style change. The entire program has nothing to do with breaking addictions, but it will change the configuration of the programming of your Astral body. And when that change, the neuro-transmission in your brain will fire differently.

Take a pen and write these down;

1. Wake up daily at 7:AM by setting an alarm, I mean Set an alarm, do not say you will wake up by yourself. Use your Phone set alarm, Sharp 7AM it wakes you up, no matter how you feel, get the fucck out of bed.

2. Get a 1 litre bottle or plastic bottle, it has to be 1litre or more. Go to a shop and find 1litre fruit juice bottle, and buy, pour away the damn fruit, do not drink that chemical, pour it out and take the container home. When the alarm wakes you up. Fill the damn 1 litre with clean, I mean purified clean water. If you have pure water, boil and transfer it, I mean distill water. Drink 1 litre of distilled water every hour as follows;

Set the alarm to ring at 7:AM, 8AM, 9AM,10AM- those are 4 hrs, and you must empty each litre to your stomach every hour. Through out the day, you will piss out the entire karma from your body. The water will purify you into your light body. water is a multidimensional cleaner. It was not created by the Anunaki Gods, it is from the Divine Creator. So drink for 21 days.

I mean 21 continuous days without a break, 4 litres a day, DO NOT fail. At 21 days, the water has melted away all the neuro-programs of addictions.

These 21 days, you must not gamble.

3. During these 21 days of 4 Litres each at 6PM, meditate. Meditation here, I did not say Pray. Do not call on any God or angel. You will be in charge of your body. No one being or God should interfere with you. Meditation I want here should be 20 minutes or more. Just close your eyes and look at your eye lids, you will perceive floods of thoughts and each time you remember of thinking, draw your attention back to your eye lids and keep your eyes shut and observe the blankness. Try not to think, and each time your thoughts come, you will notice they are negative thoughts, do not judge yourself. Those are the memory programs of your subconscious mind. That is showing up and deleted.

Do this and 21 days after you are a new you.

You will continue this after discreation at your own and your life will be great. If this my username stays one till then, contact me, then I will tell you how to connect to your Divine aspects and turn your life around. Cos you need to make some money, but not without de-programming the addiction.

Dear I was like you virtual is worse than MMM when I tell people they would feel it's a lie ..see the only way you can get rid of the habit is this
1. Learn not to hold cash at hand .
2.Get your self occupied ..because you tend to visit the betshop when you have thing doing
3. tell yourself that you are a changed man and by being change you need to know that the winnings are not for you .so ignore those that are winning because the gambling system on a long wrong you loss 80 percent of what you won
4. It take 31 days for something to become and habit .so take your alarm and calender and write a reminder every 7am and 7pm reminding you on your promise to stop betting .
5. It is not too late to tell your parents because with Thier prayers you can over come ..me I lost over 900k to virtual from 2017 to 2018 now for 4 months I can say I have not visited or login Thier system .
6. Make sure you destroy your ATM card and never leave money more than 1k in your hand ..with the above include prayers and God would see u through

For a greater part of 3 years i thought i was the only one going through this kind of problem. Bet9ja virtual ruined my life that i had rent some parts of my apartment to strangers to be able to keep up. Stole from my girl and even my younger sister to go and gamble on virtual sport. I have grown thin and ugly, looking tattered most of the times all because of this addiction. I promised myself to never visit the betting shop again but was only able to achieve this feet for about a 4-5 weeks before i went back with money saved up by me and my girl to rent a shop, lost the whole 180k within the space of 4 days. Now i have lost her too, lost my confidence and hope. Total money I have lost this year alone to virtual sport is more than 1.2million which includes my rent and other peoples money. The thought of suicide had crossed my mind countless times as i am now in huge debt. Please i need your help to help me curtail this addiction. Please help a brother.

Firstly, realise that Virtual is simply computer programming, you can never ever really win, it was programmed, dat way, pple just play to lose money, i was involved in Virtual once, but virtual nd normal bettings, lost close to 700,000

How did i get out?

God, he simply got me out, i had a purpose, am a producer, and i needed quick money to fund a project and live large too, but God now made me realise my folly of not trusting him enough to give me what i want, and chasing shadows, gambling is devilish, its a spirit and it torments

But thank God, am free now, God singlehandedly Got me out of it and i was delivered

But i also made a self conscious decision to stop and give my life and everything i am to God and its been wonderful since den

Give your life to christ, pray to find a purpose and slef consciously decide to stop, i was also addicted to masturbation and porn too, its seems dey all worked together, anytime i masturbate, the urge to gamble, comes and anytime i gamble i lose, i masturbate to porn the whole 3 was all working hand in hand not only to ruin my life, but to put my soul on d path of hell!!

It took a big intervention from God, to set me free, God loves me so much and he also loves you too, I am a living testimony of his existence, if not for God it would have been practically impossible to break an addiction that have plagued me for 6 years just like that

God has indeed been faithfull, my brother God is ,100% real, repent from your life of sin and sincerely give your life to him and ask for his help, he will definitely help you

You urself must make this decision, it a mutual decison of God working hand in hand with you to help you out, also find a bible believing church to regularly attend, i would suggest winners chapel, its a wonderful place to be.
