Madam, I rather have my wife work (as long as it doesn't affect or threaten running of the family) or run a business that will be fetching her money to support the family.

It isn't her load to take charge of financing the family, it's my job as a Man and head of the house. Hers is to support by engaging in productive venture that wouldn't jeopardize or threaten the smooth running of the family.

You see, Miss Independent Nigeria doesn't fit into this narrative. To her, there is no leader or boss in the home (imagine threatening my office ), to her if I can't do this then I have no right to "control" her. Abeg make Miss Independent Nigeria carry dia load go biko....


Feminism as a concept is about allowing females enjoy same right as males. To me that has been achieved already but most Naija females misinterpret it as challenging the man in all things including in the home.

There is something called semi-dependent woman. My mother is one! She doesn't disturb my Dad for every money for maggi and pepper yet she isn't a career fixated woman. She engaged in productive venture to support the house and augment whatever my father brought to the table. Yet, her number 1 priority is her role as wife and mother. This is what I seek...

I don't seek someone that will put career ahead of everything in life biko!

Most Women aren't known to be humbled by wealth, power or fame, especially Naija women. They are usually puffed up!
