I submitted a certified copy of the local govt birth certificate as well as data page of my international passport and it was accepted. Maybe she should try that as well.

Hi, if your spouse is the principal applicant, she must land with you. You can't go alone if you are not the principal applicant.
However, I think you should plan for the whole family after PPR, on getting your COPR, give yourself sometime depending on how much time you still have left, then travel with the whole family.

henryuzor:
Dear all, as I start my Canada PR journey I like to ask one final question...
I am married with 2 kids (boy:4rs and girl:1yr),my wife has a job in an oil firm with good salary and very promising prospects, I am a chartered accountant and work with an audit firm (salary not too OK, hence the Canada PR decision)
The question now is can I do the PR process for the whole family, but I will immigrate alone...we can all go for the first time so we can all get the PR card, then my wife and kids will come back and be coming for visits from time to time
NB
I plan for us to have our 3rd child born in Canada in 2 or 3 yrs time by God's grace

For real? Did you just post this? How can an expired passport be valid? Your initial question was somehow. I tried to ignore it. Seeing your response made me comment.
You're so arrogant, little wonder you want to use expired passport. And your lame reason is that booklets are scarce. How does that concern BC or IDP?
wisdom77:

Bros, if you are as smart as you think you are, you will understand that passport booklet has been scarce. I am asking anyone that has this experience if you don't just move along.

To be honest, I never dreamed the ITA will ever come after shunning Canada when I almost got it in 2011 before express entry (I believed in Nigeria, had a sudden change of heart and didn't submit my application. Village pipo). Then 67 points was all that was needed. IELTS was N30,000. Fastfoward being 6 years older with points begging to be rescued. I am grateful to God. Dear e- family, kindly advise on below:
Can I enter pool with my current passport (which still carries my maiden name and is about to expire) but submit eAPR with a new passport which I hope to collect later this month and it will reflect my new name.
I just dont want to miss next ITA because of passport delay.
Must I continue Application with the same passport I use in profile creation.
Hubby feels its better to creat profile with new name rather than raising CSE later

Calm down nah! It will be difficult to get a response from others if you reply people like this.
You cant use an expired passport for your IELTS exam. IELTS is not bothered/concerned with Nigerian Immigration passport ish. Try and expedite action on it to get a new passport. All the best.

Yes, you can. They do soft landing and return back to Nigeria. Best of Luck.

Thanks for replying. Pls my next concern is POF.

I got a bulk sum which is about 60% of my POF this month. Read a lot about Gift Deeds in first 100 pages...pls does this still fly? Was thinking of playing safe and waiting till Jan 2019 to enter the pool as it would mature by then. Your thoughts pls. Thanks

Submit your EE with your current valid passport. Once it expires, you will renew in your married name and inform IRCC. Delay is dangerous in this EE journey. Cheers.

Hi bros,

In addition, the only thing your wife and kids have to do after the application is successful is to land. If she's still wants to stay in Nigeria for a while, she can take annual leave, land and come back.

To maintain her status as a permanent resident, she must physically be in Canada for at least two years (not necessarily continuous) within a five-year period.

God bless you for the time you took to give me this your robust response...i was trying to consider option 1 because her job pays better so she can stay back with the kids until I settle down and then she can then come and join me with the kids. However, considering the points u mentioned in ur response,i think it is a better idea to just do for the the whole family, and then I can go alone first then she joins me with the kids later....

If you didn't apply in lagos (meaning you have a good chance of it coming out before the end of the month), I'd say just wait. We are almost at the middle of the month already. Every change you make post ITA is recorded in your application and, while it may not be significant enough to affect your application negatively, do you really want to go through the hassle of uploading new details and explaining name change, when you can just wait a few weeks?

Thats just my take on it. Feel free to decide for yourself.

Hi guys my gcms notes came through and everything looks good.
However, I noticed when my pof was computed the CAD recorded was less than my actual declared CAD thank God it still met the pof requirement for a family of 1.

I did some computation and it seemed the difference was the RSA amount that I added, it seems CIC nor wan dey gree with RSA again o.
I became even more sure of that when someone in my group chat march aor got his gcms and it was stated that review for pof and he added his pension rsa too.

This may not be true tho but this is what I noticed. On the basis of the computation of my own funds then I can boldly say CIC did not include my RSA funds.

Good Morning everyone, Praying for all those expecting their PPR's, that this week will even see more of them than last week.

I'm asking again concerning My verification mail sent by WES to school on 26th June. As at Friday(7th July) , they checked and said could not see
any mail. I'm beginning to wonder if the mail is being transported by camel. The contact in the academic office says its normal, that the mail will drop when we don't expect it,latest this week.

I just want to ask if anyone has gone through such experience or i need to contact WES to send verification mail again?

Responses will be highly appreciated. Thanks!

Good Morning Everyone,
Thanks for the enormous work you guys are doing is really helpful to so many of us.
Please I have a little concern, I did my MBA (pt)and finished last year June, unfortunately I failed 3 course from the 21course that we did, this was due to high demand in the office. The school lost its accreditation in that departmen(MBA) and they were unable to admit new students since last year till date , so this have made me unable to rewrite those courses! Now my question is can I go ahead and evaluate my transcript because I heard they lost the accreditation again this year! Mind you this is a reputable Nigeria Federal University! Or I should just start afresh in another University.
This country don tire me
