With the letter uniassist sends to you confirming your application, you can actually apply for student applicant visa which can later be changed to student visa. The only issue here is that uniassist probably doesn't know that the German embassy in Nigeria doesn't issue student applicant visa again, and that will explain y they keep asking people to book with the letter. My thought though.

Did my interview today 9/07/18 at the the German embassy,

Got there at about 5.30am I was the 2nd person but became the first student visa application to go in.
Thank God oga Pauli was not on duty it's another man that helped us with arranging our documents and he was very nice and made the process easy.

I got to the checking area and by 7.10am I was ushered into the waiting area got called in around 7.20am.

My VO was very approachable and friendly she is an African like us n was nice in conversation and initially asked for the original documents, did biometric fingerprint, collected 3 passport, requested for the photocopies. Paid visa fee n was answering basic questions like name of my course and school while doing this.

After which she asked me to pick the phone on the side to begin interview proper.

First question was why did I chose the course,
About course,
Your bsc thesis,
why Germany,
why not Nigeria,
why not UK USA Canada etc
What u know about Germany, political, geographical, and economically.
Who funded for me (used Blocked account)

In like 15 minutes it was over.

Handing over the rest to God.

Thanks for the advise from the big bros on this thread it was helpful and God bless us all

Meaning it must be in French? I learnt you can ask your vo to change your language to English or German if your country official language is other than the 2. Hmmm

Better mail their embassy's visa section and inquire about your case. Lol, so you won't join that guy and be posting LIES! LIES! LIES! if it ends up not being possible grin

Please I need help , I applied to some schools I've not gotten feedback from them
University of Bonn
University of Bayreuth
Gottingen
Is anyone else in my shoes?

I applied to the University of Bayreuth (M.A. History and Economics). Although they claimed they have a rolling admission procedure, I am yet to get feedback from the University.

In order to ensure that I get a favourable interview date as soon as I get my AL, I've written to all the schools I applied to requesting for a change in residential address to that of my Abj address.

They have acknowledged receipt of my new address, which would reflect on my AL in case of a potential AL.

I'll advise you to open a Fintiba account before your AL comes.

Let's keep praying and hope that everything will go well.

I no want make even fowl c me inside 9ja for morning as from November.

Lol. I would want to believe he can apply for the visa at any country once he has a legal status in the country. For instance, you can apply for UK visa from Germany.

I wrote my course advisor and they sent my a link and procedure to book for student accommodation with studentenwerk in stuttgart. 15th of june was the deadline to apply. Just last week i was sent a tenancy contract for a room give to me in one of the best hostel. It was stated that those admitted to certain department like MSc Physics go mandatory hostel space. My rent/bills per month is €302 and internet service is €7 per month. Note i was given till 15/08/18 to make initial deposit for the room of €700. That includes my first month rent and deposit. Guess you have to contact your program cordinator

Hello guys, thanks for all the contributions. I just got a letter from uni-assist stating their pleasure to inform me that they'll be forwarding my application to HCU-Hamburg.

According to them, even though it's not a letter of confirmation of admission, I can pretty much use the letter to apply for a student's visa.

So can I go ahead and open a blocked account and apply for a visa or should I chill till I get the official admission letter from the school?

Danke.

HCU Hamburg online application Closes July 15 every year, apart from your Uni-Assist confirmation you have to go to https://www.ahoi.hcu-hamburg.de/ to register on the school portal.
HCU Hamburg admission for Winter session comes out late July or Early August, most international student usually defers the Winter semester because of no date for appointment of Visa.
I applied to HCU Hamburg last year and made a lot of mistakes, decided to apply to HCU, TU-Berlin and one other school, TU-Berlin offered me admission 1st of June which I used to open my Blocked Account and book appointment at Embassy. If you are for HCU Hamburg, their portal registration closes this Sunday, you are to fill their form, print and sign it and send it by mail (Nipost, DHL) with your Language Certificate and Transcript
