Well, i think the Mod should have given him more time to explain himself better and at thesame time, this is a forum and not an intelligence unit of a uniform formation.

The accused was given ample time to explain himself but he never did.

If I was accused wrongly, The first thing I would do is to tender facts to proof my innocence but he never did .

The accused could insult his accuser while he was in church but couldn't explain and proof his innonce in a short article.

The accused was asked to submit a picture proof of his wallet Details but still never did.

In as much as I'm trying not to take sides; I do believe that the accused hasn't done enough on his part.

About the ban, if i was in his shoes, the moment I get to create a new account, i will use the opportunity to tender all my proofs but he never did.


Even if the accused is innocent, his preceding actions shows that he has alot to answer.

And to everyone saying he needed to be given a long time to explain himself.. here is how it works:

If you are being invited by the police to give your own account of an accusation and you resort to delay tactics , you can be detained if the allegation is *Theft*

People should stop saying its small money. Alot of people are doing time for stealing of defrauding others for a mere 2000 naira. I'm not saying the system is sane but things like this happens everyday..

As far as I'm concerned and based on the aforementioned, the accused is guilty until proven innocent

10500Naira may small to some of you, but to me right now it is enough to make sleep thinking about it last and still wake up with it in mind first thing in the morning.

Just to clarify. The whole transaction happened a day before I made the post. I waited for him to the next day.

First I gave him my wallet address and he sent 0.08$ from his wallet to mine. For you to get the airdrop one must have the 0.08$ in his wallet. So he sent that. All through there wasn't address problem.

And before I sent the $33 dollars to him, he sent his wallet address twice. Mine was just copying and pasting.

And on the app, there is clearly a 'send' and 'receive' buttons where you input address for sending or get address for receiving.

The emphasis, this guy gave me the address twice. I asked him has he seen the coins, he said it is not confirmed yet.

And that's how it works, you'll see incoming coins with the amount clearly, after 4 minutes it will fully confirm.

Just after his last statement that it hasn't confirmed, I should drop my account number. He blocked me and switched off his phone.

That was a day before I came to Nairaland. I searched and sent him a request on Facebook to reach him, he blocked me there, Twitter too, he blocked me.

My initial post title on Nairaland was 'A Transaction with DRISKLEF going sour' I indicated I was in the middle of a Transaction with him when he blocked, he didn't explain, he didn't say anything just straight block and switched off his phone. That any one close to him should help me reach him.

Let us return to the basis. Check OP's first message. Pictures all over the place, bank details... info...info.... info. If it was you, what would you do? This is the bone of contention? The main issue sir. Also, look at the places he had sent the whole thing to. Do you keep shouting everywhere when a case has been taking up by a court in the country? Thst judge will lock you up to learn patience. And it will not affect the case a bit.

You know this has damaged you already. First post has damaged you beyond any remedy. Tell me. Answer sir.

Pray you never get duped of the money you've been counting on, then you will that there's no length you will not go to get back at the scammer. I remember the agric section scam case very well. Had the accused LegupsNigeria approached the matter same way this Drisklef did, trust me he would have been blocked as well. He gave us detailed explanations with pictures, at no point did he block his client like this one did. At the end everybody reached a common ground. That is when you know a transparent person is involved in a case. This person is totally different. Not only did he want to play a fast one on his client, he is also very saucy and arrogant. Now he is sending people to bark orders at me. He should continue, maybe it is my name and details that will remain in the scam list. When he's ready to set the record straight, he will do the create a new account and deactivate right after.


This will be my last response on this issue.

We all have different temperaments and levels of tolerance, but then after 3 days he ought to have defended himself. I need not read the links you posted to know the side you are on cos I was a follower of that thread when it happened. I have also been a reader of your insightful posts in the agricultural section.
Will the accused defend himself with his original moniker? We don't know this.
He is definitely using a new moniker at the moment on nairaland. What then is the point unlocking the previous one?

If he is already using another moniker on nairaland, it means scamming will continue. I know it is hard to control. Sure, we can only encourage big boss Seun to see if such issue can be checked. Who knows if the posted pictures are not that of the real scammer? Who knows?

Has banning any moniker solved any case while the case is on? This is my point.

Sense should tell him that he needs to do that maybe after 2 days of silence from the boy. But he put it on the first very post. In fact, he was suppose to submit it to nairaland for them to publish it with the list of scammers.

Only Nairaland should have the right to post pictures of scammers . Every other person who does this should be kicked out of nairaland permanently, and such names or monikers should be included in a database for such offenses too. [/b]

If we do not make this OP an example of learning patience, we will destroy many innocent people on nairaland. This case determines my continuos stay on nairaland because, I know anyone can give me such attack by posting my pictures, my private life to defame me. And I know s(he) will walk away freely. So, I better run away NOW.

Once you put this info online, it takes minimum of 6 months before google, yahoo, askme etc delete it finally from their system if nairaland decides to remove it. Within that timeframe let us say the innocent man appears for a visa or job interview, what do you think is going to happen when the visa officer checks the guy up online? Do you think he has time to read details? Its the summary that will be used. Is this ok?

See, I will push for a big punish for this OP. The accused and accuser are useless people. They are both stupid. No wonder he is clueless to the extent he was played. If you dig well, these two people are kids. These kids must be stopped. We must train them how to use internet. Do they think they are playing computer games here? Hope I am able to explain clearly why I descended on people who are too emotional here. I am angrier than all of them with the accused. But I am even much more angrier with this over zealous mod. She killed the story, and she is giving ways for more demons to destroy innocent people with her "over sabi" style. These mods should be cautioned how they post irrelevant posts. How come she is always on front page if she is not the person who pushes the topics there. There is this guy I hear about "lala ..." or whatsoever. You do not see him on front page everytime. Do you see Seun on front page everytime?

We need to tell this mod to use the time he spends posting irrelavant posts on topics pushed to front page to reply mails. No matter how you send mails for inquiries, they do not respond. They do not. I tell you. They do not. Yet, she is always on front page.

Finally, I am confused with the Rule 19. To you it is easy to say that he should open another moniker. But we have rules here on nairaland. What if the guy says that he reads Rule 19, and it seems that is the reason he is being banned cos it says that one must not open a new moniker. This mod killed the story. You see that the useless kid has gone free. He has simply used nairaland rule 19 to nail this mod. This mod has no case. She has lost this case. Can you not see? It is the rule of nairaland this guy will use to nail this mod.

Do you think any judge is going to listen to rants here? The judge reads rule 19 and he says hmmmmmm. If you ask members not to open a new moniker after banning an original moniker, and you refused to release the initial moniker, how do you want him to defend himself? Abi na me write rule 19 ni?

Way Forward:
Let nairaland release his original moniker. Let OP be instructed to contact him, mod also should contact him to come tell his story. I am not his friend, and I cannot contact him. Anyone who knows him and likes him before he destroys himself should contact him to come defend himself. Then after, the mod can reach a good judgement. He should be giving a time frame again. If he refuses to come online, then, he is guilty as charged. Whatsoever he meets in the future is his cup of tea. But let nairaland release his original moniker so he can defend himself.

Note: he can be banned again even he is innocent after coming online. Or maybe permanent expulsion. Yes, he acted stupidly. However, it is paramount we hear his story by releasing his original moniker temporarily.

This is all I have asked for sir/madam.
