Yemoja and Sango- goddess 'mammywater' and god of thunder in Yoruba folklore. Osun is also goddess of love and fertility ,but she lives in the water.
Many of these African Americans love the folklores and African versions of Zeus and other Greek mythology.
The stories about the African versions are actually very interesting, and I wish more Africans could write about them. They make a good read.

Europe do worship osun, most of them travel down to Naija during their osun water day and if I'm not wrong there was a white woman who actually stayed behind and became the head of osun worshippers then. She died some years ago.
