Nigerian traders in Kumasi area of Ghana are finding things difficult following incessant attacks by Ghanaians.

Nigerian traders at the Suame Magazine in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region have allegedly been attacked by Ghanaians, who vowed to evict foreigners from the market, according to Citinewsroom of Ghana.

It was gathered that the alarm was raised by the leaders of the Nigerian retailers at the Suame Magazine who said their members are living in fear following what they call incessant attacks on them, reports Citinewsroom.
They accused local retailers and the Ghana Union Traders Association of targeting its members and forcefully evicting them from their shops.

Speaking with Citinewsroom, an executive member of the Nigerian retailers Association, Victor Moname, threatened reprisal attacks if the local retailers continue to harass their members.
He said the Ashanti Regional Police Commander deployed some of his personnel to the area to forestall such occurrences but the attacks persist.

“The [Ashanti] Regional [Police] Commander told us that the Nigeria High Commission had called him over the same issue. He said he had sent a police patrol team to Suame Magazine, Kumasi. But when some of our people open their shops, some boys jumped on them again including some of the GUTA executives.”

“Some of their items got broken because when the boys come and ask you to close your shop, and you refuse, they destroy your things. So that was the reason why when they came to tell us to close the shops, we obliged because they are many. They are up to 50, and you can’t identify all of them. They don’t even have shops in Magazine.”

Victor Moname said currently all the Nigerian retailers at Suame Magazine “ had closed our shops including all our workers because they are afraid.”
The Ghanaian government ordered non-Ghanaians in retail trade to leave their markets by July 27, 2018, or face the wrath of the government.

Even though the Ministry of Trade and Industry threatened legal action against stubborn foreigners, it later rescinded its decision, citing inadequate sensitization as the reason for the suspension.

We did same to them in 1983 and even took over their properties when they left but due to the bastards we always vote into power, the hands of time has turned undecided

NOTE: All those referring me to 1969, only those who fail to learn from history are condemned to repeat it. We are only reaping from our bad decisions. Ghana is 100% better than us because we have chosen to sell ourselves out.

Lol Ghanaians hate Nigerians with passion. Don't think the tension between Ghana and Naija is "Friendly Rivalry". For us it's Friendly Rivalry cause we didn't grow up and thought to believe that Ghanaians are bad and evil, But all Ghanaian children of this generation have been brought up with hatred for anything Nigeria by their parents (Cuz of Ghana Must Go... they drove Nigerians out of Ghana in 1969-1970, we drove them outta Naija in 1983).

Stupid Ghanaians. All they do in their TV News and Tv Programms is to talk ill about Nigeria. They don't talk about the good things, only the negative things. They Gossip Naija alot and hate when we achieve something great especially on World Stages.

Their market women, office Employees always gossip. Infact if you're a Nigerian in Ghana working under someone, if u want to impress them and make them like you, just talk stupid things about Nigeria, dem go like u die i swear. In fact the more u keep on insulting Nigeria and casting it ehh.. ur double promotion dey wait for you.

They're very obsessed with Nigeria that anything trending in Naija always trends there (including Music, Movies, Dressings, Slangs & more). On a low key they admire Nigerians and love to be like us but they don't want to be Nigerians. We're more hardworking than them in their own country that's why they always feel jealous cuz we're gaining more cash than them and our business there always prosper than theirs.

Very ugly set of black charcoal people that can only draw Tatoo with white Chalk.

God Punish these Ghanaians... i dey vex say we help those their foolish local actors and actresses blow through Nollywood... Make our musicians wise up and stop allowing them to feature us in their useless songs. Them dey fam our artists cuz them need our artists to penetrate our Music Industry so dey can blow in Africa and beyond. Useless set of Human beings who like to see others Fall rather than succeed.

I pity Nigerians in Ghana... on a low-key their President want Nigerians out of the Country but they can't it now cuz they depend on Nigeria Government and Nigeria Businesses so much, Cuz if Nigeria leave, their Economy go cast. Until they find way to be able to maintain their Economy without Nigeria/Nigerians, them go begin kill Nigerians like S.A and drive them out of Ghana as a Payback to GHANA MUST GO.

Fvck Ghanaians and Ghana.

Imagine the likes of Ghana, ordinary Ghana ooo, who are not even worth a half of Nigeria in all ramifications are now treating us like this. Countries that did shake whenever Nigeria sneezes, tomorrow may be Cotonou. I weep for my one time Giant. It will never be well for our evil leaders, and it will be like this till the youth take their destiny in their hands.

I don't need to read the full story, all I need to do is blame this stupid government for making Nigeria a difficult place to run a business. Why won't a country as Ghana abuse our citizens over there?. It's just a case of a child leaving his home to beg bread in another home, why won't the child be abused??
