Nigerian coach is carried away. Not thinking about scoring, just shouting. How can you see where to take advantage of the Germans when you're shouting like a bus conductor. Hope he remembers to make a substitution to replace our player on yellow. |

Germany score from a free kick. Everyone who saw the team sheets could have predicted that. |

If the coach can bloody shut up, surely, the girls can score a goal. Even our coach shouting is waking up the sleepy German defenders. |

Unfortunately, we just hit the post with a sweet volley. Player got injured in the process. Another sub likely. |

This coach cannot even be empathetic with his players. A player has ankle injury and he says 'wetin dey make you cry now'. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by oloriooko(m): 2:14pm On Aug 06, 2018 |

Its over. Germany 1-0 Nigeria. Good potential in the team, but hindrance is the coach. We need to beat Haiti next to stand any chance. Ajibade was very very disappointing, probably the coach is not using her well. Anam Imo needs a partner up front. The midfield is very good. The defence is also good. The coach needs to work on the 2 attacking mids. They need to assist Imo and Ajibade more...How I've missed Osas Igbinovia and Oshoala. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 2:38pm On Aug 06, 2018 |
We paid the price for fitness today because our second half was very poor. Ajibade needs to play behind Imo and we need faster wingers. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 2:42pm On Aug 06, 2018 |
BascoVanVeli:I believe things will get better. Haiti is a good 2nd match. We will win and score good goals. China vs Germany is key. I need the Germans to beat the Chinese. |

olapluto:We have a very technical team but they can't expect to be allowed to pass the ball from the back all the time sometimes we should blast the ball forward and let Anam run under it. She gave the Germans trouble but we didn't use her enough and she had no support. Ajibade should be behind the striker not on the wings. If the girls compose themselves they can go far in the competition added to fair officiating. |

Why use Mary Ologbosere as a central defender? It’s no longer news that the technical crew led by coach Danjuma fielded a makeshift central defence pairing. Mary Ologbosere and Okeke marshalled the defence. Ologbosere struggled to deal with the Germans. The overlapping full back showed fans that she is a right back with there quality crosses in the second half. Maybe she should be reverted back to that position. She belongs there. |

Nigeria U20 Player Ratings: GK Nnadozie, Efih & Okeke Stand Out; Ajibabe Anonymous Published: August 07, 2018 Stefanie Sanders scored a 69th-minute winner as Germany recorded a 1-0 victory over Nigeria in their Group D U20 FIFA Women's World Cup encounter at the Stade de Marville in Saint-Malo. Here's how the Falconets fared in the tension soaked encounter; Chiamaka Nnadozie: Her team's player of the match. She produced six world class saves. The 17yrs old Rivers Angels goalkeeper has proven that she is no doubt the Superfalcon future no1 after the Likes of Oluehi and Alaba. she was confident and calm with sharp reflexes 8/10. Opeyemi Sunday: The full back was contended with defending her territory and hardly ventured forward and was unable to bring some pullout from the back 5/10. Glory Ogbonna: Ogbonna was assured at the Leftback, she maintained her usual sense of calmness, composure and concentration. she need to bring in her experience of training with the Superfalcons 6/10. Mary Ologbosere: It's rare to see the Rivers Angels youngster feature at central defence. She relished the moment, she delivered some long balls from the back from her unusual position. 6/10 Chidinma Okeke: Another makeshift defender, who was confident marshalling the back four,The striker turned defender made good tackles and was excellent with her aerial abilities. 7/10 Peace Efih: The Edo Queens midfielder made crucial blocks and almost equalized but her bullet went off the post. 7/10 Bashirat Amoo: Amoo started the game very well and passed with confidence. 6.5/10 Saheed Adebisi: Falconets flop of the match. She was rarely involved and failed to deliver. She did disappoint with her poor performance. 3/10 Rasheedat Ajibade: Ajibade didn't really come to the party, was largely anonymous. The moment she got into the act her team almost scored. 5/10 Anam Imo: The Nasarawa Amazons forward was often left isolated. She caused the Germans all sorts of problems. 5.5/10 Aishat Bello: The starlet was made to track back before she was substituted. 3.5/10 Substitutes Taibat Odueke: She offered little after coming on for the injured Efih. 4/10 Grace Igboamalu: Igboamalu offered support to Imo when she came on board. 4/10 |

I am not very worried about us qualifying from the group. We are in a good position to beat Haiti and China resoundingly if the coach can work on the attack. My main fear is meeting another rugged European side like England. We seem to come out short. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 1:41pm On Aug 07, 2018 |
olapluto:I just caught a bit of Haiti and they are a solid side with massive support. If we don't take them seriously we could be in for a couple surprises. Also Ajibade must be at least 10 times better if we are to go places in this competition or someone else should come to the party. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 3:33pm On Aug 07, 2018 |
BascoVanVeli:She will get better. She needs support. She must play as a striker to get the best of her. Germans effectively shut shop against her. I am still sure Haiti go chop like 4-0. It will be like Nigeria vs Gambia. |

I believe with the return of Monday Gift, the Attack will be more better. |

oloriooko:The bottom line is win the match. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 8:42pm On Aug 07, 2018 |
Schemerkhiz:You know what I felt that we would lack a bit with her missing and it showed because we just didn't have any pace in the squad tbh. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Duru1(m): 8:44pm On Aug 07, 2018 |
olapluto:She has never been good when faced with talented opponents. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Duru1(m): 8:53pm On Aug 07, 2018 |
Schemerkhiz:I am really impressed with the plays of these two kids. It looks like Nigeria came to play against Germany with only the goalkeeper. What about the emergency defender in Okeke, a striker turned CB? These kids were letdown by their country. From the look of things, they were not fed properly. The presence of Ijamilusi was missed at the midfield. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by olapluto(m): 11:23pm On Aug 07, 2018 |
Duru1:Actually the defence was very decent. Our main problem was the midfield and the attack. I expected the coach to have resorted to long balls, as clearly Imo was having joy against the German defence. The coach was shouting throughout the match and probably didnt pay attention. |
