Please I would like to have feedback because NECO doesn’t have age on it am confused whether WES will accept it...

Why won't they accept it? Did they say it's because of age they're asking for secondary school leaving certificate?

Really? Hmm this ought to yield 1 year.... Not funny at all. .

Proceed to level 6.... Intermediate level

My concern is if the two one semesters will amount to a full session then I will possibly do that by beginning of the next year

Really want to appreciate this thread. Lots of people sharing information and helping each other . I pray everybody’s expectation will be met.

I first submitted only my Bsc. alone to Wes then I came on here to read about ACCA’s diploma qualifying me for two or more degrees. I quickly asked Wes to add an additional degree. On my own, it would never have occurred to me and that gave me an additional 30 points.

Thank you all so much kiss

Why is it so rare to get more than 7 in IELTS writing. Just curious. Your thoughts? Thanks

my Wifey wrote ielts 5 times why? because she was always getting a 6.5 in writing, so we decided to try Liz the paid version and paid $18.00
and wahhlah...there it was .. the secret to writing revealed, we discovered that in the free versions they wont tell you the whole trick but its there in the paid version , it all boils down to the format and structure please find below LIz paid version. she got 7.5 in writing with Mod

I didn’t say that but just guessing that’s why they needed to see secondary School results if not then why?... cos that’s not our highest qualification so why take us back to it.... just thinking out loud

Listening 9
Reading 7
Writing 6.5
Speaking 8.5

It is well o. Fellow IDP people please you can check yours too.

Mine was similar to this, except that I had 7.5 in Reading. I requested for a remark immediately. I can't have 6.5 in Writing. My first attempt, I had 8,7.5,7.5,7.5 LWRS. It's 6 points to move from 437 that I'm using torchlight to look for.

That's the advice given.
Always write your Listening and Reading answers in capital letters. It makes your writing clearer

Yes, it also saves you from the pitfall of misusing letter cases in Reading and Listening. Instead of wondering if you should start the word with a capital letter or small letter, just write everything in CAPS and you're good to go. If you mix up letter cases, you may lose marks.

Spoke with IRCC today. What they mean for pr applicants is if u withdraw, theres no guarantee of getting an ITA again because you cant predict the crs score to be taken for ita. So withdrawing will be at ur own risk except ur crs score is really high n will be high if u enter d pool again.
dumprep:
"a client who withdraws their application runs the risk of not receiving a subsequent invitation to apply or invitation to sponsor."

This is serious.

This kinda reminds me of the story of the hungry man who bought a donut to quench his hunger, after eating it, he was still hungry so he buys another ... and another. Finally the 4th time, he decides to buy buns and after eating this, he feels full. He then starts wondering why he didn't just buy buns the first time and save himself the money he wasted on 3 donuts.

I'm not discounting the fact that the paid version must have been a lot more helpful than the free version of Liz's tips. I'm just saying, give your spouse some credit, perhaps she learnt from the experience of the first four exams. It's possible she practiced harder, studied like crazy, stopped taking the writing module for granted, improved her handwriting and writing speed, learnt to meet up with word count, brushed up her spellings and punctuations, etc.

I'm sure the buns helped but don't forget the donuts

To the glory of God,I wrote ielts once and had 8.5 in reading. Always read your questions first, pick up key words as regards a particular question, find the word in the passage, read around it and pick your answer. I never read any passage completely. Don't waste time in sections 1&2. Be conscious of true, false and not given OR yes,no and not given. Never interchange them. Above all practise, practise and practice. Download ielts reading app for GT,it helped my practice a lot! Then the road to ielts marker. Practice until you get to 40marks. Be conscious of the instructions; if the instruction says 3 words only, NEVER write more than 3 words. Remember in ielts everything is a word including is and the.
Finally, practice and develop your own strategy!!!
The next is your last, in Jesus name!

Thank you so much for this tips please there are so many apps on play store for ielts reading general please specify the name thank you.

They have to be sent via a courier. They must be sealed and stamped by the school authority. Any sign that the envelop has been opened before getting to ICES might render the documents invalid.

Please how can the school send it through the courier?

Except I didn't understand your question, you shouldn't be worried about this. Any reasonable university shouldn't have a problem sending documents via courier. Just follow the due process to apply for your transcript. Let them know the destination address. International destinations usually comes at extra cost of course.

When did u submit your passport?

Ifywhyteman:
God be praised...Collected my passports from Vfs Globals today. If you sent yours through a courier and wish to collect in person, you need to go with a means of identification (voters card, driver's licence or some other legal document that can be used to identify you), also I presented the mail sent to me by Vfs that showed my tracker number. Go to the first floor, booth 1 or 2 for collection...Thanks to everyone that assisted me by giving answers to my questions and for all that have been helping with other information. God bless you all...Don't know if I will be able to sleep this night...Can somebody get me Valium 5... grin grin grin

I couldn't agree more. I wrote IELTS in Nigeria in October 2017(Academic) and in February 2018(General) and I got 7.5 in writing both times. I think the problem might be that Nigerian markers may be more rigid about a particular style of writing and look out for some PARTICULAR things. I think we should be trying to figure out these things after all, some people still get no change in marking after EOR.
sleekchic:

I don't understand why this person's post has been misunderstood. From what I saw, this person was only trying to encourage people to believe that passing writing in ielts is very possible (rather than assume that the ielts writing examiners have a vendetta against Nigerians). I agree it is very possible to do well in writing even though the unfortunate trend has been that a lot of people do very well in all other sections and writing holds them back. He/she even referred to someone that did well in writing and told people it is achievable but it seems some people didn't get the message . From my personal experience, a lot of people practice for the listening test more than any of the others hence the relatively high score in listening.

And please if somone scaled through doing this and got their ppr, please clarify this for some of us that are in this situation. And is there a way we can change this, if possible. Please

What a detailed and helpful information. God bless you for that.
I'm just thinking... if not that we don't have an efficient system and/or WES sometimes can do oversabi, I see no reason why the entire process shouldn't be concluded online.

LecturerIFE:

Yes. I applied this week, and I saw like 10 or so other names on the list applying for same to be sent to Wes. Total cost is N18500 - N1000 for confirmation of result and N17500 for the transcript and courier.

To avoid waste of time, make the 1k confirmation of result via remita before you go there.

Today is my ECA, if I get it today, I'll let the house know. I've been on this issue since 2014. But that is a story for another time.

For reference purpose, and for those following up with me. WES sent me the following message in response to the message I sent them [underneath their response]

Thank you for contacting World Education Services (WES).

The requirement you mentioned in your email is with regards to evaluating university credential. Application to evaluate a university degree earned in Nigeria and submitted before August 3, 2018 does not require the WAEC. Be advised that the WAEC is required to evaluate a nursing certificate.

Best Regards,

Christian N.
WES Customer Service

I sent the following mesaage to them:

On Wed, 8 Aug at 3:25 PM ,
Country of Education: Nigeria
Question: I got a mail to the effect that WAEC should send my certificate, am I being prejudiced against or what? It seems to me I am being prejudiced against, because I have been on this evaluation thing for long. You said I should expect my ECA tomorrow, only to change the rule of the game for me. If this is not prejudice, you said the new policy doesn''t affect application prior August 3rd, only for me to be singled out that the policy is not the same for me. If this is not prejudice, how am I to suddenly cough up 130CAD to pay WAEC again to send my credentials. Kindly respond to my enquiry. I need my ECA for immigration, please. Thanks.

@Shyee,I really feel your pain. This is complete bias, why single out your application? They should have clearly specified the documents needed from you from the onset. They can't try this in Western world because someone will sue their ass.Just hold on and see what their response would be.
Canada and their annoying bureaucracy, just like this WAEC and NECO verification, why not ask applicants to buy the scratch card themselves and include it in the documents that applicants will send to them. They will verify the details online by themselves.
Anyway,I blame African and Asian leaders.
