As more and more of us are getting out of the market to wait for when to get in again, this would be a good time for some of us to brush up on our analytical skills whether you are a TA or FA faithful.

At least you don't have the additional stress of watching your portfolio with one eye. When the market turns around as it will one day, you would be better prepared.

I'm sure our gurus from both sides of the divide can recommend books, websites and other resources to help us do that.

Just my thoughts

Good. I think we should all do that. Nobody knows it all. A fundamental part of beating this market has to do with us collectively beating the foreign investors first. For if they take most of the gains n the market, what will be left for us to profit from.

Wheat prices are higher this year by 28%. This further squeezes the profit margins of the entire flour industry in Nigeria, except if they did proper hedges, due to the fact that all of the wheat is imported.

Some of them will surely report losses by year end if wheat prices keep increasing.

Thanks. but can't I just mail it to them?

I really don't want to have to go to any place, whether bank, registrar or stockbroker.

35,000. Here we come!

Some were warned but they did not listen. They instead called us alarmists.

Now see what your stubbornness has wrought to your portfolio.

Next time, take your time to consider every advice. Money is not made emotionally. The stock market is not emotional.
Exactly, they thought that we hate them, but we like them most.
Truth is always bitter, but it pays at last.
I always like to stand on it, no matter the amount of insult and stone throw.
More bear in sight.

It's enough please. No one is above mistake. Let's all concentrate and figure out when to return to the market or either pump in more cash (for those still in).

It is with lessons learnt that we grow our experience. Saying it is enough is not enough. The question is: What have you learned?

A fundamental part of the experience has to do with discernment of the recommendations you see here.

My two cents is that when those recommendations are about the NSE and NOT any particular stock, people should consider it because you're sure that one has the least bias and with the least vested interest.

My concern here is that election will be tough, more than expected.
The ongoing election building up will continue affecting the NSE through out this year, we are waiting for the bonanza time to buy.

I have said it before and am saying again, the best is to study these foreign investors and know the time they usually exit the market. Failure to do that will always result to buying their dumped stocks

Weldone Sir. tongue
What I know is that election will come election will go, NSE go still remain.
The fright was so much in the last election coupled with international events that made it to be as if the world itself was ending but alas! the election was devoid of violence as envisaged.
One thing I just like however is the caution going on here 'cos equity prices were ridiculously low during those period, though the main cause was largely traced to the global economic meltdown then.

Oracle, CP , Agba all came into the market in May after all their warning in February and they all received nice haircut before running out..
Bottom line no one knows it all.. even the Ogas are not exempted.. we learn everyday..

If you are not in the market now, thank your God.
If you came and was able to run out with minimal loss, thank you God and think of how to recover your loss..
Some of us like to concentrate our purchases hereby making it hard for us to jump-out.

Moreover we all don’t have same strategy..
We must not have same trading plan.
