I think you keep forgetting that we are a franchise and part of that means only using approved channels for parts. I told you in the past that if a customer wanted to us to use their parts, it's not a problem but they would have no warranty. I'm not sure why having such stringent quality control is an issue for you.

With us opening 10 stores across the country that will back each other's warranty, you really think Milex is going to let each store run amok getting parts wherever they so please?

When you find an engine supplier that can consistently prove preference of his engines and pass Milex's supplier requirements and quality control while providing warranties, we'll be more than happy to consider that supplier being added to the approved list.

I've said it many times, use what you want, will use what we want. Over time, we'll see what happens

for this engine client will get 1year warranty and I will sleep well at night.

Not every engine should be scrapped. But when the wrong engine is in the car already what do you do?

"New one. Toyota Corolla. Owner ready for engine replacement but really all it needs is crankshaft and oil pump. Owner will have a 6 month warranty parts and labor on the repair."

Where do you keep getting that figure from? Plus I've done that quite a few times already. Go back and read. And no, the Pistons were not read what when EgunMogaji explained to you saving me the trouble.

It is worth it to the customer because the customer has a 6 month warranty on parts and labor. Remember the customer? This is about them.

Again. 6 month warranty. Husband's been doing this over 20 years. We don't warranty if we can't back it. Parts were inspected and found okay. If they go bad it's 100% our cost both parts and labor so what exactly is the issue? Also, nowhere did I say we were doing a full on rebuild. I was very clear on my initial post what the engine needed.

Again, this is about the customer

We don't force people to use our services to get our warranty. If we did a good job, as long as they don't abuse their car, their warranty is good. We have no caveats. There is no consistent source of low mileage engines in the country we trust. Can we bring some in? Yes, but again, it's not worth it for the customer

This table you have come to shake, no be today o. And yes, there is shortage of technical expertise in the Nigerian automotive space. I like your zeal to pull this through, and make the desired change. But are u sure you are not just pushing to sell parts (bloated) with a warranty tag.


I am sure glen does supervisory work, and does not carry out all repairs. You must have hired techies, not reformed kazeems that understand standard process.


In the interest of customers, they deserve the best, and options should be given to them. But I can toast anybody to do my bidding, they believe we know better. This your set up only encourages part sales and warranty onyibo to tie any fella down and not real repairs per say(I swear I want to be wrong).

is the warranty going to be on the crankshaft and oil pump for six months or the whole engine with probably 30per life remaining in the other remaining components?

most times like this, I want to be wrong.... but bitter experiences of the past and the challenges one had to overcome to put them in the past makes one kinda harder to accept such "looks too good to be true" deals.

Team replacement also warrantee engine.. As long as mobil 1 is used to service it.. Am sure some other conditions will also void team replace warrantee.

2az-fe with 1 year warrantee on mobil 1 AFS diet...after about 2 months for Abj - Kaduna express, on a Friday few hour to Friday prayers I come race one Malo guy driving a Brabus with 6.3-liter twin-turbo V12 ..........we know the outcome

Even when threads are opened to complain about their services, the mods hide them to paint a picture they are all perfect.

The joy and love for replacing engines knows no bounds here.

Dont bother educating anybody, you are a corporate organization with a clear vision for growth,development,expansion,good ethics with proper customer relationship management.

Only time will tell.
