A good christian can experience bad things if he is not careful and not prayerful . Jesus told us in :

And he spake a parable unto them to this end , that men ought always to pray, and not to faint;

For a good man who is not a Christians, bad things can befall him if he is careless or there is a curse operating in their family lineage , although he is a good man , that curse will allow evil to happen to him.

Prayers do avert evils. Being good or nice means you are an enemy to the powers that hate good people and good things. There are some wicked powers that love to see evil befalling people , community , nations etc.

That is my opinion.

2... A Christian can go through hard times and even die in the process because of attacks of evil powers.

If you read from the beginning of the chapter,
Verse 1 says children obey your parents...
Subsequent verses admonish parents to treat their children right, and masters to also treat their slaves right (since it was an era of slavery).

There was nothing like demons fighting Christians in the whole of that chapter.

Satan can use things like disobedience to parents, parents not treating their children right or even persecution to fight christians and not necessarily demons.

Yes, we were made to believe that they were referring to demons from childhood being Africans that we are. But if you have ever listen to a White pastor who never had any African background or experiences of demon's and witchcraft inflicting people expantiating on those scriptures, you will understand it from a better mind-set entirely .

No wonder u guys get unhappy when atheist who don't pray, fast, read Bible regularly, not holy, have not faith I God still compete with u guys for the scarce recourses available. That simply means, the weapon of our warfare is geared towards controlling our thoughts and imaginations towards becoming obedience to christ, and not to fight demons.

If you read it from verse 2
2 Corinthians 10:2 But I beseech you, that I may not be bold when I am present with that confidence, wherewith I think to be bold against some, which think of us as if we walked according to the flesh.

This tells us that, Paul may not be bold to say certain things when he was present with some Christians, but when he was absent from them, he was good at writting to them boldly a letter containing those things he could not say boldly when he was present with them.
But to other Christians who think of him him(Paul)as if he was working in the flesh, he always speak to them boldly in their presence.

Now, also take note of the term "As IF HE WAS WORKING IN THE FRESH "

the term is simile and not metaphor

It means, they saw Paul as if he was working in the flesh, not that he was actually working in the flesh.
