Don't mind that little Super sub wizard... Hahahahaha... As I saw his name on the starting XI, I was like...

"Oya go and see what Taiwo faces from the start... U think say e easy?"

The little wizard scored too o grin but I see nothing to worry about they are two entirely different players. David is more about speed while Taiwo is the big hold up type. He played a part in the winner by winning a ball in the box.

Who did I pull down? And how does saying giving players opportunity to be seen amount to promoting them? Guy that your dictionary get as e be

BascoVanVeli:

Pulling down one to promote another will always be scandalous in my book.

In other news on our Nigerian players

Francis Uzoho will wear jersey #13 for Elche CF this season in the Spanish Segunda Division (La Liga 2).

Victor Osimhen will wear jersey #45 (and not #99) for RSC Charleroi in the Belgian Jupiler League this season.

I just started watching the Torino game. Aina is on the pitch as left back.

TheSuperNerd:
Ola Aina on the bench for Torino's away game to Inter Milan.

Meanwhile, New Super Eagles Invitee, Semilogo Ajayi played all 90 mins but NOT as a Central defender... He featured as a Central Defensive Midfielder and put in a decent shift. Even had a Whoscored rating of 7.4.

Yep... That's because he came in for Ansaldi who picked up an early injury.

Just as you have realised. wink

So what is the debate about. We need a striker who offers us mobility, quickness, lethal finishing and the ability to drop deep and create for others.

Baffles me why power and holdup play becomes a top criteria over multitude of attributes others bring.

Baffling.

I don't want to enter this emotive and sentimental debate.

But one major overriding question ❓ To settle the matter, since attributes in bold are the unit of measurement.

How many goals have both strikers scored in the past two seasons in thier respective leagues.

Oga, who you wan deceive? This was a comment you made during the AFCON. Cameroon had not even reached the final yet. Show us the ones you made in the weeks leading to the Nigeria vs Cameroon clash.
There is no point trying to defend yourself. Our memories have not failed us.

The way you pull out some skewed statistics each time you want to bring down a Nigerian player is so disturbing. A Nigerian player does well, you do not show up but when he gets even an average rating you come here to make noise.

As I said, no need defending yourself. We know you already.

Call me biased but I equate the Bundesliga 2 with league 2 the 3rd tier of English football.

Yet we find it hard to consider players in the English Championship. I wonder why ❓

You are biased.

Bundesliga 2 is a quality league. Leon Balogun who seems to have adapted very easily to the premier league started out in Bundesliga 2.

Semi Ajayi and Etebo are championship players.

Equating Bundesliga 2 to EFL League 2?? F**king hell!! This is alarmingly presposterous... EFL league 2 is England's FOURTH TIER.

Gosh.. you are not only super biased but also very disgustingly clueless of what you speak of. Yuck! Have you even taken ample time to watch some Bundesliga 2 games? undecided

And Rohr called up Etebo and Semilogo Ajayi from the Championship... Are you blind to that fact?!

This is way past becoming irritating on your part Southie...

the english championship and bundesliga 2 are very competitive and far better than the dutch, portueguese and belgian leagues. i urge the national team handlers to monitor players of 9ja origin playing in this leagues. we must not wait until a player stars in a top league(obscure leagues excluded) before been considered.

balogun and ekong who are our defensive stalwarts today started seeing regular playing time in the 2nd tier of dutch and german league and grew from there. both i will say was late keshi's biggest discoveries during his time with the national team and today we are reaping the benefits. i remember siasia and oliseh not given the duo a chance citing they arent strong and physical enough for african football and preferred oboabona and co but today this once rejected duo are among the pride of the current super eagles and also among the best from our continent.

i salute rohr for making out time to scout rotherdam's semi ajayi and paderborn's jamilu collins. they may not be regulars for now in the team but will be groomed as players for the future who can be relied on if injury raises its ugly head. also playing for the national team can help in showcasing this lads to the entire footballing world which will alert scouts from better leagues to get them for their respective teams.
