It will because New York is close to Canada and they may think you're going that refugee route.

Good morning & happy new week.
Pls someone with experience should help here. Someone applied for F1 visa early August but was denied based on funds (tho there were sufficient funds in the sponsor’s account. The mixup was that he went with his own statement of account as well, which is not funded). He requested and was granted expedited appointment the following week. He clarified the issue at the interview and the visa was approved. Three days later, passport was ready for pickup, lo and behold, there was no visa, only a letter stating he has been denied.
Has anyone experienced this ‘approved and later denied’ scenario, what can be done about it? Thanks

Pls seyewest and gurus in the house..my mum of about 58yrs is going for visiting visa (b1/b2 )...though she was denied last year by UK , when she applied for a visiting visa to visit her younger brother on the grounds that they (uk) are not convinced enough that they are siblings..but now she is been invited to US by relation for just 2weeks visit..she runs a poultry farm and money flows in an out of her current account (not in millions but hundred thousand)..her sponsors are my relation inviting her...

Then my son while being interviewed started crying mummy am hungry, mummy am hungry, my tummy arches. Infact I thank God for his favour because this is our second time. The first time I had not discovered this forum and we used an agent.

You need to be prayerful because this guys are revoking visas anyhow

Your not travelling since you were issued the visa is a red flag already.

They don't even wait for you to get to the US. Right from a connecting country say Abu Dhabi you might be subjected to secondary interview before boarding the connecting plane

Who rescheduled the appointment? Them or you guys? Read the mail that was sent from them if they were the ones that did the rescheduling, pay attention to the concluding part....

The original interview appointment can be reprinted na, that is if that's what they asked you to come with ALONGSIDE THE MAIL THEY SENT sha.

She printed out the "original" appointment confirmation earlier on before she was rescheduled but can't lay hands on it noe, abi? Or is it that you are waiting to see the date change on her profile before printing? If the latter is the case, worry not, the "original" one is the one that has her initially picked date for the interview, add that to the printout of that email message from them with which she was rescheduled.

If the former is the case, log in to her CGI profile and reprint her appointment confirmation from there. Click on "Appointment Confirmation", then "Printable Version" or so....

Pls how long does it take to file for a spouse. I have just been granted an Immigrant visa. I hope to get married before I leave the country for America. I hope my wife could join me ASAP. Pls who can tell me the steps I need to take in order to file for her.

Most Nigerian applicants still don't know a VISA is a PRIVILEGE, not a RIGHT. Its like toasting a babe, take her to Transcorp hilton, she might not give you visa but if I take her to Mama Put, I might get the visa (its an analogy biko), you maybe the poster-boy for 'strong ties' but finally its the VO's decision.

Ah , this is serious.... Well, go to the inbox of the email used in booking the appointment, go to the search bar and type in "appointment confirmation", then click search, it should be there.
