We paid tuition fee b4 applying for visa, plz can it be refunded?

@vivicintia, your money will be refunded if you send a mail to them attaching your correspondent letter from the embassy. The NON REFUND policy is for applicants that got their visas approved. They will charge you for administrative fees which should not exceed $200. A friend of mine who is currently in UToronto got is $3500 back from UBC after his visa application was refused. So don't worry, you will get your money.

Sorry that your app got refused. Wish you the very best.

Please can I send my recommendation letter from Nigeria through NIPOST to canada......
To your school im Canada, right? Yes you can, it will take NIPOST from 10 working days and above to deliver it. They also offer express service(just like other private owned courier companies) and will take between 3-5 working days.

She said it was stated in her offer letter that the money is non-refundable (with or without her visa), and like she has already mailed them and got same response from them.
Well, let her still mail them again let's see.

Of you have time(14 days and above) then use NIPOST (normal one) but if not then you can use express or other private companies

Please after I receivd details about my biometrics on my online status, I haven't heard from the embassy till now, I did my biometrics on the 10th of June I was expecting they should have asked me to bring my passport by now, the school which I applied for would be starting 1st September, I don't know what to do.if the school resumes, will my application still be in progress or they would cancel it because the school started? I want to know please if resumption of school can stop my Visa processing. I would appreciate it you guys help and advise me

I doubt if this money can be refunded; from UBC's website it is clearly stated that it is non-refundable and non-transferable......... however, nothing is impossible..................email the school and hear from firsthand, their own opinion on the refund..............That school is damn too expensive........... 1year MBA tuition of $79,290 CAD for international student and estimated total all inclusive expense (Tuition, accommodation, textbook, etc) of CAD105,442..........................#loud hmmmmmmmmmmmm#

Anyway N1.5million is alot for a Nigerian to blow away like that.................UBC is among the very good and expensive business schools in canada.............count your losses...........and choose carefully next time.

Someone who can afford $79,290CAD can easily forget 5000CAD grin grin grin

Thanks for bringing out the bigger picture. Now I get it!
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 14 by makano: 5:37pm On Aug 30, 2018
If ur Visa hasn't been issued before ur school resumption, it doesn't mean ur Visa application will be canceled. Resumption of the school doesn't have anything to do with with ur visa. If ur Visa hasn't been granted before ur school resumption ND Ur application is likely to be approved,a message will be sent to you to provide a new admission letter which means u have to defer your admission. After which your Visa will be issued. Goodk

Here are the list of documents needed
Go to CIC website and do your checklist by registering online and answer the few questions pertaining you and after that you will get all the mmm forms you will need.
The get the following
Sponsor statement of bank account with at least 10m closing balance to be on a safer side
Offer letter
SOP and possibly LOE stating your reasons to study in Canada. As for me I prefer both
Passport data page
Certificate

If your parents have a registered business, land properties and or estate do upload the documents to show stronger home tie.
Finally, you don't need agent of any sort because everything is straight forward. Though you may need someone to help write you SOP and LOE if you can't do them yourself or you can also google the format online but do not plagiarized any single sentence you see online or else your application will be refuse fast fast
That's all

It doesn't matter if your app is being processed in Kenya, still mail Lagos CIC and you will get a reply. Best of luck

Well, let her still mail them again let's see.

@mcobex (my oga), i believe she's mixing everything up. The school cannot refuse to refund her money since her visa was refused. She will only lose a little amount categorized as administrative charges. She should notify the school with the letter from the embassy as proof. Beside, i do not think any school in Canada has a policy to withhold applicants money when visa is refused. In most cases the amount not refundable is usually the seat/acceptance deposit when the applicant receives TRV but decides to attend another school. So even if they say they want to withhold the seat deposit which is $2000, they still have to refund the $3000. They will refund her money but it might take between 3 to 7 weeks.

At the bolded most school in Canada indirectly do. Lethbridge college withhold all your $1000 initial deposit after one deferment and Visa denied later then your money is a goner
