It is interesting that most (I would not want to make a general statement that it is actually 'all') of the comments condemning the purported actions of the husband is based on the morality of his sexual orientation. From where I stand, that part of his life, if this news is to be believed, is inconsequential.

I am more interested in the rationality to abandon his children.

I understand that he probably was under immense pressure and compounded issuers that drove him to seek respite in another country, but I still frown at his turning his back on his children, who have nothing to do with his personal issues and did not sign up for a distant father.

He had a difficult situation, I imagine, but I must denounce what he is doing to this children.

And just so this isn't clear already, I believe that this situation would not have cropped up if the society was more open minded and receptive. The way we talk and react to issues like homosexuality has far reaching consequences. You or one of your loved ones might actually be unstraight and find yourself/themselves in a similar situation. It is 2018. Whether someone prefers men to women or vice versa should cease to be of importance to us. You may not be okay with being gay, but be open minded and recognize that unstraight people are human beings, too.
