Another driver just paid his due... accolades more accolades

Great payout week ..no defaults
Re: Chronicles Of A Partner-driver / Fleet Manager/investor by Carshopper(m): 6:17pm On Jun 05, 2018
wawu... most challenging week, but it definitely ended well.

One vehicle break down on Friday but by Monday @gazzuzz touch worked the magic and it's back on the road.

Another vehicle getting stubborn, but again it recieved the touch

Most important thing from last week is my driver-partners rallying round and coming up with funds to fix one of the vehicles.

Yes driver-partners got a fantastic reward for been committed to their weekly payouts

We will kick off a weekly dialogue on managing vehicles/driver/maintenance starting with a newly acquired 2007 hyundai elantra

The process we put in play is as follows:

Vehicle : 2007 Hyundai elantra 2.0L

Weekly rent : 40,000

Security deposit : 65% of week rent

Guarantor : guarantees to 15,000 plus driver damage due to negligence

ROI time frame : 10months

Kick off date 15th May 2018

3rd week payout made ..

One minor repair (5k)

things looking good on this one

Fleet management works when all hands are on deck. Everyone is accountable for something.

We learn every day, we try to put in new ideas and strategies. We noticed that preventive maintenance becomes much easier when there is a reporting system in place which keeps you pre-informed about issues likely to occur in future.

The zeal sometimes goes away.. U sit down and ask questions 'is this truly profitable?', how come when repairs issues arise, they take most of the earnings ... do i pull out?

Yes o .. But I think the trick is to build enough cars in your fleet ..so that you can set aside a certain amount for repairs.. The fleet will have enough money that will be aside for repairs.. I think it will be hard to put aside if managing for others, unless your particular client has 10cars that you manage for him.. The more cars you have in your fleet, the more money you will be able to set aside for repairs..
Always keep in mind not all business are profitable at the start. It might take 1year before it now becomes profitable.. But during the first few months in business, you will go through trial and errors till you finally perfect the business. That is why in business you start slow, and you start from the bottom. And slowly you walk your way up... this uber business I don't pity nobody at all ..people that are rushing in and not doing due diligence will suffer the most.. It is a very profitable business as much as non profitable ..

What you are doing here is rare. I used a corolla 1.8 to learn the ropes starting this year and I must say the experience is bloody.

But the good thing is an understand of what works and what doesn't.

I am humbled by the wisdom you have decided to share and I am willing to help build a viable e-hailing fleet management ecosystem.

Please do confirm if your 0805 number is whatsappable.

Salute..

So sometimes we listen to what drivers are saying ... some say it's hard.. Others say it's OK ... so we thought let's make it balanced

For every new vehicle that will be listed for Rent.. The driver will be given the opportunity to speak his own rental fee and his own T&C

We will either ACCEPT or make a COUNTER offer

So Drivers that bulk is at your table

So one driver has done 12weeks witout any damage to vehicle or issues... delivery has been on time no default ... He earned himself one week wage.

Another has gone 8weeks+ , no default, no issues ..prompt payment

One has gone 8weeks+, delayed payments twice, one front damage, one side mirror broken ... chei

but so far ...its OK...

Once again we about to shake the table.. Our drivers - partners have been on their A game regardless of the fall in e-hailing. so we thought it would b wise to change the narrative again.

Vehicles available for weekly rent.. T&C stated below

PART A

Vehicle type : mid size sedan

engine : 1.6L - 2.0L

weekly rent : 36,500

Verifiable Guarantor

PART B

Uber Account MUST be a PARTNER-DRIVER

Ability to Manage up to 5 vehicles

Ability to draft, negotiate contracts used in e-hailing

Each car managed by Partner- DRIVER earns a commission weekly

Note Part B is controlled by Part A, meaning driver must be driving and managing jointly

I source for investors and give out the cars to the partner-drivers to Manage while they drive their own rental..

Am a recently registered and activated Uber driver resident at Asokoro, Abuja looking for a partner. Am a well-mannered, educated and experienced driver looking forward to build and acquire more Uber experience with a likewise, business oriented partner according to agreed terms and conditions. Any referral would be appreciated, and if you are partner looking for a driver please do contact me at my signature. It will be a partnership neither of us would regret, a win-win situation/approach for both parties. Assurance guaranteed.

Am very open to relocate since am quite conversant with Lagos routes very well. Help a brother
Re: Chronicles Of A Partner-driver / Fleet Manager/investor by Carshopper(m): 11:36am On Aug 12, 2018
So we have been off radar to re-think certain assumptions ...

1. ROI

2. Driver liveable, health

3. Present State of E-hailing

4. Vehicle Depreciation

we believe for effective deployment, all this have to be taken into consideration as every factor works hand-in-hand.

so we thought of a new model that takes into consideration a gradual decrease from start to finish (1year plan) for new investors to e-hailing ...

1. ROI

Your ROI as we all know is based over a duration and takes into consideration repairs/maintenance cost with present state of e-hailing and depreciation affecting ROI.

We are sampling a plan that seeks to leverage on factors that can affect ur ROI over a year period ... we came up with this

First 3months - weekly rental 35k - 140k/month - 420k/ 3months

Next 3months - 30k/weekly - 120k/month - 360k/ 3months

Next 3months - 28k/weekly - 112k/monthly - 336k/3months

final 3months - 25k/weekly - 100k/monthly - 300k/3months

total 1.416,000.

investment budget 1.5m
maintenance cost excluded

2. Driver

Every driver believe they are the soul of the bizness, but a soul that doesn't communicate well with the other parts of the body is dead. Drivers need not be alone drivers but also thinkers, solution providers .... and just drive and deliver ur target.

Drivers have to be part of the maintenance of the biz tool (the car), this i have said over and over ..

Drivers need to be proactive

3. Present state of e-hailing

The present state of the business isn't wonderful ... it's just another means to an end.. we drive or have vehicles onboard that cater for bills upon bills. The downward pricing has necessitated the need for reviews in weekly delivery.

4. Depreciation

The value put on your vehicle will decrease over a duration with constant usage on e-hailing. With a good reasonable driver, say within 1year the value will drop by an estimated 25% .. with the fast n furious type of drivers value will drop by 40% or more.

So if value drops, on what value are u looking or calculating your ROI on?

Our sample model which we currently resting works with actual cost vs Depreciation Cost...

We will be back ...time out

Why pay a fleet manager for his services if ;

1. your vehicle breaks down frequently

2. your manager recruitment processes doesn't get the right drivers

3. your manager doesn't partner the right auto workshop

4. your manager doesn't have proper scheduling on maintenance or repair history

Now we about to change the narrative n shake the table a little ...

Zero management fees till your ROI is duly accounted, T&C applies
Re: Chronicles Of A Partner-driver / Fleet Manager/investor by Carshopper(m): 8:41am On Sep 04, 2018
Back to E-hailing bizness - so I have a kia rio (all time best) to give out on rental

1ST 13 Weeks: 35,000.00
Next 13 Weeks: 33,500.00
Next 13 Weeks: 31,500.00
Next 13 Weeks: 28,500.00

It will be further discounted if drivers pay rental on time or if driver is paying upfront for each week rent.
