I have keenly followed this thread and the variant levels of wisdom that has been shared is unquantifiable. It reflects the highly progressive nature of Nigerians. Having lived here for a few months now, I believe the little I have encountered is worth sharing, such that anyone, new, on their way or planning to come can learn from. First of, prepare to have your own unique experience: A lot of Nigerians will tell you their way, their path and what they know. This makes your adaptation easy, cause rather than create your path, you can easily walk the path others have. It is the fastest way to settle down and, get things done. However, what you will have is the common Nigeria experience - all the same. The other day, I met a group of men, who all had uber driving in common. Secondly, utilize your community: if you are Nigerian, igbo, Yoruba etc, you have a community, there is a place to find them: church, mosque etc I say community especially where out here you have no direct blood relative. Thirdly and most importantly, beware of fraudulent Nigerians, who have realized the goldmine immigration matters are out here. Some of them do a short course in immigration, others have hung out with immigration people, while others are just imposters ... whatever class they are, they claim to be immigration consultants, to defraud, charge you and ensure you have paid 85percent of their cost before you see the slightest evidence of what you re paying for; they insist you keep your interactions on watsapp; threaten you when you demand accountability from them and a host of other atrocities. Fourthly while our local African community has its pros, I believe if we all wanted same ol same ol, we would have stayed back in Nigeria. It is my belief, we all want something different, better than what we have known and that is why we have all left our original home to make Canada our new home. To that end, be open, learn the values, the culture of this country that invited us via express entry or other means to be a part of their wealth. Good day. Pls can one have more than 1 "goods to follow" list. Our intention is that we move our goods twice. Ist set of goods will be at first landing when the whole family first lands 2nd set of goods will be when my spouse is coming back to canada. She will be doing a soft landing to go back & come back in less than 1 year. Please is still possible? As anyone one such before or know anyone that has done so before to advice. Will we present the two sets of goods to follow list and explain our intention to the custom people? Please clarify, I beg Also, what's the procedure or process if the goods to follow will arrive after we land (like 2 weeks after landing). We want to settle in our house before we receive the goods so as not to inconvenient the friends that will be accommodating us in the first 2 weeks of arrival. Please friends, The form to fill in the plane, that area of declaring items like diary food, meat...., is it applicable to the items on board(hand & checked-in luggages) with or cargoed items? Also, as per diary stuffs,is it that all kinds of milk aren't allowed? liquid or powdery Also for meat, what of dried meat(tinko) or ponmo? Please clarify |

Bro take your time & read and understand this process very well and guard that your 2.5m jealously. A friend of mine went to enroll for fork lift driving for 6months after which he will be given a certificate for that. Its something you can do if you really decide to make a move. IamtrulyBlessed: I was charged 750 CAD (excluding HST). Consisted of 450 Registration Dues and 300 prorated membership dues split between CPA Canada (189) and CPA BC (111). Chinnie4Jesus: ACCA has a direct conversion agreement with CPA CGA. Same is not available for ACA but there are some exemptions. I think you have to be in Canada to take advantage of them.
