I was just thinking aloud today and wondering when Nigerian VO abroad will be asking oyinbo "why do you choose to study in Nigeria?", "why do you choose lautech?"among some few questions.

BTW, do American universities accept neco results?

Hello house,
Hello great gurus in the house,
Had my interview last month and was placed on AP(abj embassy) my interview went well and the VO collected my passport. A week after while tracking my passport my satus changed from AP to Refused.

Hence,I got my passport at Dhl office(VI) a week after, they attached two slips paper:
1. Pink deny paper 214b
2. Section 212(a)(6)(C)(I)-for fraud and misrepresentation of material fact. With a pen indicating FAKE BANK DOCUMENTS

I later confirmed from my uncle the bank statement was not genuine that he paid someone to arrange it,from recent trends here I want to confirm how I will know if am banned already, coz the slips they gave me didn’t indicate the years I duration for my ban,how will I get to know if I am ban and how soon can I reapply ?

Please great gurus in the house, kindly assist with legit info ?

OH my God, another victim of wicked uncles?.

Like I posted earlier, everyone should learn from this. Take extra step to verify any document given to you by any uncle.

1. It's either you follow them to the bank and be present while he was collecting it.

2. Or walk in to the bank with the account number to enquire if its correct or tally with the name.

3. Use your mobile app to verify the details and compare to what you have with you.

As for your situation, you can't appeal since your uncle also confirm its "Oluwole" I'm sorry you are likely banned already

Of course, they will. When I was at the University of Ibadan, I saw quite a few American students, mostly those who came to study Yoruba. The difference here is that, these American students, after completing their studies in Nigeria, return to their country, America. The Nigerian visa officers also know that they will return to their country when they are done. However, when it comes to Nigerian students going to America, the reverse is the case!! This is the main reason why it is hard to get an American student visa. I have met students from several countries in Europe studying here in America, and none of them went through the sort of rigorous screening that Nigerian students go through during visa interviews. These guys also go back to their countries for summer break, but several Nigerians, once they step foot in America, never go back home, not even for a break. There are some countries whose citizens do not give a damn about America, and America literally begs them to come here; one of such countries is Norway. It's a pity how much our leaders have failed us, because back in the 70's when the naira was stronger than the dollar, we also never gave a damn about America!

Thanks boss for the response

I believe you will have a better chance applying from Nigeria, since you have a sponsor in Nigeria and a bank statement originating from a Nig bank.
All the best!

Pls would this be suitable.

Help a brother pls.

I know @jelmusboy already said it’s ok and I truly appreciate his response, but I would still wanna hear others’ opinion before I make a decision. I really need this pls

Thanks in advance!

It is possible. Embassy know that many of us come for interview with SOA worth millions all in the name of "He is my uncle or aunt".

Go there with a genuine SOA and profile the account holder well when the VO ask you

This is a very careless way to talk. What happened to him was very unfortunate, and yes, it could happen to any one. Trying to lay the fault of his uncle on him is a callous way to respond to someone who is seeking advice on a dire situation.

Schools that offer funding for masters in computer science in the US are extremely few. Only Stanford university to my knowledge offers funding, and it's extremely competitive. However, it may be possible to get a graduate assistantship during the masters programme. You'll have to clarify with the department.

Do a WES evaluation first and foremost, then see what the evaluation will result to in terms of your GPA, before you start applying to schools

Hello,
what introduction letter do you refer to here? do you mean your funding letter and was this not reflected on the I-20.
I do not think most VO has time to look deeply into letters when you articulate your responses well to meet the standard they expected.
Good luck wink

is this person a sponsor you already stated in your proof of funding with the school you applied to?
Anybody can sponsor you to college and what matters is your ability to proof the ties between both of you and make sure you are consistent in all document ways you use to show that person's name as your sponsor.
Good luck

I strongly believe most american universities have a way to send I-20 to students because they know the documents are vital.
they will give you options to use standard post or registered courier like DHL and other that have tracking numbers.
I bet you choose a standard post, IF YES... then you will have to pray your I-20 arrive safely without hitting hurricane!!!
Good luck
