My junior sister scored 313 in utme, and sored 307 in the Unn post Utme, she is been in a sad mood since yesterday after not finding her name on the med/surgery merit list. I still can't understand what happened my self. Is there any hope for her?

Gush! yawa don gas! UNN is bloody competitive... so what is d cutoff mark?

Were u not an aspirant at one point in ur life??.... If yes, I don't see any reason for this comment of urs. U should know how it always is with aspirants hence the reason for asking some questions u find annoying. It's also for aspirants not students only.

Bros, longest time... hw was ur putme n wat is ur agg?

Maybe u guys for south east are inflating figures. How is it possible for 322 aggregate not gain admission to study medicine in any higher institution in Nigeria. Even UI, OAU and Unilag that are far above with good reputation in medical line are not this difficult. Pls somebody should correct me if I'm wrong
Which stupid reputation are u spewing?
I pity u.
Admission is based on number of students available versus alloted space! If people score high, cut off would be high too. 100spaces available and 500people had above 300 in score, only the best 100would be selected.
Stop this reputation crap! No naija uni is worth it. Do your shi and leave! No one would ask you were u grad!
Reputation my left assss

I don't blame u, u are from the region where a child wake their parents with kicks in the Morning. After all I did not abuse u and as well u don't know the age of the person u are spewing all these trash with. just ride on, u will get ur rewards soon.

Re: The medical students and aspirants thread by Wuyiseducon(m): 3:51pm On Sep 11, 2018
This is not only a requirement but also an understanding-requiring issue, and it’s the explanation of what happens when a candidate has “Eligible for Admission” on their result slip and yet they are not offered admission. Now, let me be blunt about this, as an OAU aspirant, you can smile when you check your post-UTME result and you find “Eligible for Admission” there, but don’t let your smile get too wide yet. This is because “Eligible for Admission” only means that OAU has successfully classified everyone who wrote the post-UTME into two; one of the two classes don’t deserve to be considered for admission at all and some of the other class can be considered (if they have what they should have and do what they should do and in time). I’m saying, after seeing “Eligible for Admission” on your result slip, you still have one more level to win before standing the full chance to be offered admission, I’m talking about the departmental cutoffs here. Because you are considered “Eligible for Admission” does not mean you have gotten the cutoff mark for your aspired department and that is what we are all waiting for right now—the cutoff—to help us know who is really getting the admission to the department they applied to and who is not. Now, I have to warn you, if you have “Eligible for Admission” on your result slip and you do not meet the cutoff of your department, please don’t make the mistake of thinking OAU is automatically considering you for another department that matches your cutoff; hell no! OAU doesn’t do that. OAU does not automatically consider you for admission to a department you have not applied to. Now pay attention to how I’ve been putting the word automatically in my statements. That’s me saying though OAU does not by default starts considering you for admission to another department of lesser cutoff just because you are eligible for admission but you do not meet the cutoff of your department, however, if you do your running around and processing when you should do them, that is when you are considered for another department, and that’s the real idea behind the “Eligible for Admission”, it just makes it mean if you tried and did what you have to do, you could be admitted anyways (to another department or even yours), even when you do not meet the cutoff of your department. Uhmm..., don't know about this one. Sounds a bit too far, to me but then, this is an unofficial information. It's always best to hear directly from the authorities.

Good morning.

Hello.
Pls I have a que pertaining to OAU, if a person don't meet up with the cut off for MBBS is it possible for such a person to bargain for a less competitive but inclined course, and later transfer back to Medicine.

Pls how advisable is this move.

Once you don't meet up with the cut off, likely you end up in the faculty of Agriculture which is not inclined to Medicine. Also crossing over is noted easy even from biological sciences like Botany, MCB unless you have a very strong connection.

I want to cross from BCH to medicine but didn't meet 4.5 in first semester so do you know any body that has crossed before
well,to be sincere,i do nt think crossing is possible here in lasu,at least not frm science courses to med courses, neither do i know anyone that did that succesfully. the inverse is allowed if one is unable to transit though.
