Good evening, kindly explain how to do load calculation of all appliances to be used by a generator in order to know the kw rating of generator to get.

Professor is Elepaq senwei Ec6500cx generator a good product?
Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by coruso(m): 8:35pm On Sep 11, 2018
Permit me to help out.To calculate the total load check the name plate of each of the appliances involve thier rated load are rated in kw, add them up and you get the total kw then multiply the total with 0.8 to get the total kva. Remember you are not suppose to use mire than 70% of the generator rating.

Good day!
Please I have a budget of 40k to 50k, for a 1.2KVA+ generator. I have Haier Thermocool in mind but was told it's beyond my budget. Please I need a recommendation for a good quality yet affordable generator in that capacity range.
Your suggestions are highly appreciated.
Thanks

Bro, from a personal experience, go for Thermocool as recommended by Prof. You won't regret it. All you need is 5K more to 50K and you have it. Mine is going on 4 months running average of 4hrs everyday, no issues. Plus I get 22hrs on full tank(8.5L)

No Joke, bro. I settle down take note of how many hours I run my generator on full tank. I have done it 2 different times. 2.5hrs on 1Litre is not unrealistic. Yes, it is 22 hrs on 8.5L for me.

Good afternoon sir, please what’s your take on this two gen? They are roughly the same price online as I am about to order one and need an engineer opinion, all I need is for is to power, 32inch tv, small sound system, 3 led light and 100L small fridge! I hope to hear back from you soon.
Thanks

i think i have address this issue here before, all u have to do is to (1) just low the firing of the engine if it is high,
(2). there is a screw just at the left side of the cap. i think i posted the pic of the cap am pointing the screw with screwdriver in my hand. just tight the screw to the end.

that all.but if it till persist , dont fail to comment also.

I did this trick for our Generators, they are saving fuel very much now. Thanks a lot.

Good morning Prof, I've been following this thread for a while now and it's been truly revealing, pls keep up the good work.

I have two questions for u

1. I have been using a sumec eco 1990s for a while now so far it's been ok but recently d current fluctuates as in it shakes. I use a desktop when that happens it restarts my system, what could be d problem, I've been using d gen with d system and it hasn't been giving this problem. now am at a loss.

2. how do u rate maxi generators, are they good ?, r they better than luthian generators?

ur response would be much appreciated.

Good morning prof. God will continue to enlarge your coast.

I have a Lutian 7.5kva gen which i have not used for 2 months. I called a technician to service it and after servicing he turned it on to test it but discovered it was not supplying current. He later discovered that when he powers on the gen and fire it up from the back, the current will supply. But when we off and on it again, it will not supply current until we fire it from the back.
He called an electrical guy to come and check it and he told me its the armature.........i dont believe him because i have not used this gen for more than 4 months and hardly use it with ac except for some rare occassions when there is heat. i only use it to power 1 freezer, 1 fridge, 2 lcd tv, 10 energy bulbs, and 3 fans.
please help me out because he is asking for N20k to fix the armature.

The residual magnetism in the armature may be very weak. Try running it for a while with some heavy resistive loads like electric cooker or incandescent floodlights if you have....like 1hr plus. That may help....

I think that 20k is too much. My inexperienced opinion oh.

If it has an avr that should stabilize the voltage.

Hello professor, I'm planning to buy an elepaq 3.5kva generator, when I got there, I discovered they're two types "constant and sehweh" elepaq constant is costlier than the sehweh. Pls is elepaq constant the best to buy or the other type is good as well? I'll be glad for your expert advice.

Re: Professor On Any Type Of Generator. by bionts(m): 7:59pm On Sep 26, 2018
Hello prof. I'll need your advice on my particular scenario.
I got a sumec fireman eco3990esr about 20 months ago, i run it for about 20hrs each week and change my oil every 30 days. It worked pretty well until recently i used it to power my 1.5hp air conditioner for about 3hrs.
Its been about a month now and the gen still works fine, but I noticed 2 things

1. The gen smokes a little wen im starting the gen.... The little smokes comes out for just a seconds or less, #The start up cycle.

2.There is a very soft grinding sound/metal vibration from within the engine.

3. When i try starting the engine lately, it totally looses compression, and ill need to roll twice or thrice before it gains compression and fires.

Presently, im thinking of carrying out a general overhaul, what internal part do u feel worth replacing in other to ensure the engine continues to work at optimum performance.
I just wanna order the parts from sumec, bring a technician home and tell him to change those parts.
My able prof, your opinions are highly appreciated.

I did exactly what you said and now it's supplying current on startup

Thank you so much. Your wisdom tank will never dry

What could cause my gen's voltage to be fluctuating. It started when someone use an equipment with high starting torque on it.

The Engineer. Kudos to you for your benevolence and efforts on this topic.
I have a few issues to concerning what sumec firman generator eco 1990s can power. First can it power an 800w microwave; something like this(https://www./20l-800w-freestanding-digital-touch-control-microwave-in-silver-r272slm-sharp-mpg211200.html).
Also can it power a twin tub washing machine: something like(https://www./twin-tub-washing-machine-wp-7.5kg-lg-mpg111915.html) maybe its power about 350w.
And the final crazy question is whether it can power a 1500w electric cooker/hot plate.
I intend to connect them separately not together at once.
In case firman eco 1990s cannot do the job, what would you recommend that is within 2h/litre fuel consumption. Also, if the washing machine is an issue I could buy a smaller one like(https://www./polystar-washing-machine-pv-wd6.5kg-polystar-mpg174711.html -280w power, or https://www./midea-midea-washing-machine-17729822.html ). I heard firman eco 1990s uses a capacitor, is it tue? And what do you think of lutian 3.5kva manual starter generator lt3600 fuel consumption if I were to consider it? Thank you once again and God bless.

Good day Prof, I have an elepaq senwei generator with rated output of 1.3KW and Maximum output of 1.5KW, I want to know if it can power an Hisense small fridge with the following rarings:

Capacity: 100Litres
Rated voltage: 220-240V
Rated current: 0.6A
Rated power: 70W
Maximum wattage of lamp: 15W

Note, aside from the fridge am using the gen to power only LED TV, 1 ceiling fan and 5Bulbs (3energy saving and 2 100watts bulbs)

What can make the voltage of this my gen to be fluctuating, though it stabilises in output when it continues running.

Its starting watt is 3200watts and its running watt is 2900watts. cool
