Please this is my first time of writing a story, I don't know it all and I need your corrections and your comments too. I can't mention anyone because I don't really know anyone.


Episode 1#
Mara woke up in the morning feeling depressed and broken, she opened her window to let in some natural air, she still felt the same after doing that, closing back her curtain she slumped on her bed thinking of what could have given her the depressed feeling this beautiful morning, she had barely closed her eyes to think before it came flooding her memory, she started sobbing from afresh as her wounds has been reopened, Obinna had broken up with her the previous night in his apartment, remembering the love they shared together, the promises and the nice times she started sobbing loudly. Obinna is no longer hers, he left her broken for someone richer, the thought alone is ripping her heart apart. She remembered how they met when she was doing her faculty clearance in her 100 level at IMO State University.
She had gone to school very early in the morning to avoid getting hers done very late as there will be crowd at the faculty, she had barely joined the small cue she found when she heard a voice behind her.
" Are you the last person on the cue"? She rolled her eyes at him, isn't it obvious? Is there anyone behind her but she didn't say it out instead she smiled and told him yes. They finished their clearance and friendship was established between them which later grew to relationship as they later fell in love with each other, they graduated from the university, went for the clarion call, while Obinna got employed as a messenger to a renowned lawyer after searching for a good Job which didn't work out, Mara opened a small scale business where she sells different types of weavons, wigs and hair attachments. To them, as long as they love each other, that was all they needed.
Mara sobbed loudly, where has she gone wrong, she did everything any girl would do for a guy she is dating, she doesn't understand how Obinna could have left her after six years of been together, why? She was still sobbing when her mother Mrs Johnson came in with a cup of coffee, she shook her head and sobbed more, mother he left me, Obim ( as she fondly calls him) left me, my life has finished.
Don't say that again Amarachi, Obinna is not your life and he can never be, you are hurting right now and I know, please stop crying, I didn't sleep well last night knowing that you are heartbroken.
It's alright mom, I will put my heart and mind in my business, I will forget about him, I wish him happiness though, Mrs Johnson couldn't help but smile at her daughter for taking such decision, that is my daughter she said, now finish up this coffee and get going to your shop young lady. Giving her mom a fake smile, okay mom I will be out in a jiffy, thanks Mom you are the best, Alright Mara I will be in the living room. Immediately her Mom shut the door behind her she started sobbing from afresh, who says she can ever get over Obinna? She can't, Obinna is her life, she can't do without him.

Kenny couldn't believe that Brenda actually cheated on him with the excuse of him not always been around, always traveling to different countries, no time for her, what nonsense he scoffed, he is always busy making money for the both of them, for their future, why can't she be grateful for that she has hurt him so much he doesn't even know what to do, a tear slipped down his eyes, he was actually crying for a woman, he couldn't believe it.

Kenny been the only son of Mr and Mrs David okoronkwo, a well known business tycoon that deals on the production of Table water and biscuits and also have different branches around the world was made the C.E.O at a young age by his father after he has retired but still give order when necessary.

At 27 Kenny has already made more name for the company, he Made sure that DALENA is known across the nation. Knowing how the name of the company came about, he always smile anytime he remembers that the name was coined from his parents names, David and Helena, he was always wishing to be that close with the lady he will marry but Brenda screwed it all up for him, he smiled painfully, it will take him ages to fall in love again, it will be about work and the company now and that is just it.

"Hello Baby" he said immediately he answered his phone.

"my love" he heard from the other end.


"good morning to you,"


" morning baby" he answered how was your night? He could feel her smile while answering him that her night was fine.


"Baby" she continued, "can you come over later in the day? Am missing you already" she whined like a baby over the phone,



Obinna smiled, "of course Baby am coming over I can't wait to see you, I have been thinking about you, I love you so much Kasie"


" I love you too Obinna talk to you later bye." she dropped the call.


Obinna smiled he can't believe that Kasiemobi the daughter of Barrister lucky Williams is the person he is dating now, she has promised to get him a Job in a better company, all it took him was to break up with Mara his longtime girlfriend but it doesn't matter, money is all that matters.

Obinna Ferdinand is a young man of 27 years old, the only child of late Mr Uzoma Ferdinand and Mrs Nkechi Ferdinand. Mr Ferdinand died when obinna was serving in Kwara state, leaving obinna with just his mother. Obinna saved up and opened a small shop for his mom where she sells foodstuffs, he was sad that he couldn't offer more to his mother but there is nothing he can do about it.

He met Kasiemobi Williams in barrister Femi's law chamber, his boss that he runs errands for. He was sent to get a file from Mr Femi's car when he bumped into a lady spilling the contents of her bag on the floor, he apologized and picked it up for her after which he learnt that she is the only daughter of Barrister Lucky Williams who is currently with Mr Femi inside his office as she just finished from law school. After that day Kasie kept on coming to see Obinna. Obinna waved her off at first until she promised to get him a better job in DALENA if only he would break up with Mara. He couldn't resist her any longer. He broke up with Mara and started dating Kasie and he has not regretted it as Kasie has already gotten him the latest Range Rover, and life is now good with him and his family unlike when he was dating Mara. He smiled in fulfilment.

Episode 2

Mara's Hair Home was located at a busy area in town along Royce road, it was a one room block house but luckily for her the person occupying the next shop after hers packed out giving her the opportunity to occupy it too making her shop two. The landlord later gave her the permission to join the two shops making it two in one, everyone called her a lucky girl as the all know Baba Bayo the landlord as someone that can't do such.

Mara a lady of 26 years is a graduate of IMO state university, she studied business administration but opted to open a hair home with the little money she saved when she was serving in Abuja the F.C.T of Nigeria, according to her she doesn't want to be under a man or woman that will make life miserable for her by giving her a job, she prefer been the C.E.O herself and so far God has been helping her, she smiled maybe she has something to live for and that is her little business and of course her family, her father left them when she was 18 and her younger sister 12, she wondered why her mother gave so much space before giving birth to kosisochukwu her younger sister. Her mother has been the breadwinner of the house since her father left them and she took over from her mother immediately she opened her little business, she surely has to be strong for her family.

Immediately she got to her shop, she hurriedly unlocked her shop to avoid the prying eyes of her neighbour, simi who everyone know as the neighborhood gossip.

She was still arranging her goods when Simi landed in her shop, Mara sighed good morning Simi, she greeted, morning Mara baby, how was your night? Simi asked, Mara smiled, she can never stop adding baby to her name, my night was fine and yours? It was fine ooo, you came out late today what happened? Simi asked while helping Mara to carry out her bench, nothing happened simi I just felt like coming out now she answered. Ehe Mara baby have you heard what happened here today? Simi asked, Mara rolled her eyes typical of Simi, trust her to give you information of what happened in another state, she sighed, no Simi I have not heard fill me in. Ehe shey you know Mrs Badmus ni? She asked Mara in a haste, Mrs Badmus the woman that sells clothe at the extreme? Mara asked trying to think of what could have possibly happened to the woman, yes na she Simi said grinning widely happy that Mara saved her the stress of explaining further who Mrs Badmus is, Baba Bayo came today with some thugs and they threw her out because she has been owing baba Bayo ooo she completed while dancing much to the surprise of Mara. Why are you dancing? She asked her getting angry that she can be happy because of someone's misfortune, aaah aaah simi exclaimed, so you are the only person in this neighborhood that doesn't know how she insulted me the other day, she called me a gossip, good for her that the landlord helped me out in dealing with her she scoffed. Mara was irritated at this point, but she did not lie did she? Are you not a gossip? She asked her trying to convey her anger along, Simi hissed loudly at Mara and continued, I will tolerate you because am in your shop and am leaving, I won't come to your shop again rubbish she spatted and left. What a drama Queen Mara thought and continued with what she was doing.


It was around 1:30 PM when Mara noticed a car pulling up in front of her shop, she decided to wait and see if the person was coming to see her, but after 10 minutes the person hadn't still come out, she angrily stood up moving towards the car, she hopes the person doesn't want to park the car in front of her shop and maybe go about another thing, no she won't have that, her shop is not a parking lot. On getting close to the car she felt a chill down her spine, he was looking handsome and Rich, she couldn't say what she wanted to say instead she ran into her shop, what is he doing here? She asked herself, has he come to gloat in her face? Well she won't give him the opportunity to.

He came inside her shop, looking around, it has not changed since the last time he was here. Amy he called her softly moving to hold her hands, she felt goose bumps all over her body immediately he touched her, she wanted to dwell in that moment but snatched her hands away from his when she remembered what he did. What are you doing here Obinna? Did you come to break my heart more? She asked, Amy please hear me out he pleaded with her, don't you ever call me that, you lost the right to call me that name the moment you broke up with me she sobbed. She could still remember when he told her that he prefers calling her Amy rather than Mara that everyone is used to, why on earth did he leave her? Why? He couldn't bear to see her in pain, her tears is like a sword piercing his soul, years back he couldn't even think of hurting her, but right now money has turned him into a monster, he had hurt her so much.

You have not still told me why you came here Obinna, Mara asked, he couldn't bring himself up to tell her why he came, he had been rehearsing for days and even while he parked in front of her shop, he was thinking of the best way to say it to her without looking like a devil.

Obinna am waiting, Mara startled him, Amy... Eeem Mara he started, I know that i have hurt you so much but am here to make it right. What is it Mara cooed getting nervous, am here to give you money, any amount you want to pay up for all those years I didn't take care of you as my girlfriend, please accept it am sorry he pleaded.

Mara couldn't believe what she heard, she couldn't control it anymore the tears started falling in torrent, what do you take me for? A fool or what? You are sick in the head, now I want you to show me your back.

Obinna was confused, my back? How? He asked in a confused state. Mara laughed, dumb ass, money couldn't even get you smarter, I mean leave my shop this minute and never come back fool, Mara it has not gotten to that, am sorry if you saw it that way am only trying to make you feel happy Obinna pleaded effortlessly, I said leave my shop now she shouted pushing him away, good riddance to bad rubbish she said while he drove out.

It was a Monday morning and as usual a hectic day for Kenny, he just got out from a meeting with the shareholders in DALENA, he sighed moving towards his office, Fumi please cancel all my appointments for today, am so tired and hungry that I can eat one whole Elephant he told his secretary, yes sir she replied laughing at the way he described the hunger pangs he was feeling.

Kenny had not settled well in his chair before the intercom buzzed disturbing him, aaaarrrggh he tiredly exclaimed hitting his hand on his head, I told Fumi something minutes ago didn't I? He asked like he was referring to someone in the room, what is it Fumi? He asked immediately he answered letting her know that he was serious about his instruction earlier, am sorry to disturb you sir but one miss Kasie Chuks is here to see you she said you are expecting her and it is something serious, it's true I had totally forgotten about her please let her in he said scratching his head, Okay sir she said hanging up.

Who do we have here? Kenny exclaimed on sighting Kasie and a handsome young man trolling behind, he would surely be the one she told him about that needs a job. How are you Kenny? Kasie asked taking her seat already, am fine Kasie please sit he referred to Obinna, knowing Miss Chuks she will sit without any permission to. Kenny your office is still as simple and ugly as I can remember, eeeww who paints his office with brown and black? What kind of irritating combination is that, she complained rolling her eyes, He chuckled, knowing Kasie, it is typical of her to complain of his choice of paint anytime she visits, giving her a reply was going to be a waste of time as he is very hungry.

So I presume he is the one you told me about, Kenny asked sounding more like a statement than a question, oh yes forgive my manners! This is Obinna my boyfriend and the love of my life, Obinna this is Kenny, the C.E.O of DALENA but he has someone he takes orders from and that is his father, oh my god the old man can be a pain in the ass sometimes Kasie laughed at her remarks of Mr Williams.

Let's talk Obinna, Kenny said focusing on Obinna ignoring kasie and her remarks, he is used to her already, he has their many years of friendship to thank for that. what did you study in the university? He asked, Oh I studied Business Administration, graduated with first class degree but couldn't get a job with it, Obinna replied, wow Kenny exclaimed, I don't need to go through your CV because you have gotten the job already, are you serious? Obinna couldn't believe it, he is now a staff at DALENA company, Kasie has been a blessing to his life and he will forever love her.

Let me call someone that will take you to your office and also fill you in, Kenny said picking up the intercom, come to my office right away he spoke into the intercom, Kasie what of Barrister Chuks?? How is the old man doing? The old man is fine Kasie replied.

The door opened and a young man of 26 years old entered the office, you called me sir? He asked Kenny, yes Tunde this is Obinna he will be in the finance department from now onwards as your P.A please treat him well, and Obinna this is Tunde, he is the manager of finance department please co-operate with him he concluded. Yes sir I will do so Tunde replied smiling he has always wanted an assistant and he likes this one already, he shook hands with Obinna as they left.

Kasie oya start spilling, what are you doing with that dude when you have Martins Odewale? Kasie smiled, relax Ken, he is just my toy boy for now pending when marts will come back from the states, what? Kenny exclaimed surprised, you mean you want to break the young man's heart? Oh no am not in support of that, I know what I felt when Brenda broke my heart and I wouldn't wish for another man to feel 1% of that he concluded relaxing fully in his sit. You don't really need to be in support of anything ken, just keep your mouth shut and don't tell him anything, am heading back home take care of yourself, and with that she left, Kenny was not even aware that he left his mouth opened until Kasie turned around and told him to close his mouth, he closed it but the surprised expression still lingered, he felt for the young man already but it is none of his business, he picked up his jacket that he draped over the arm of his chair ready to go for a break, he is so hungry.

Amarachi Sonia Johnson, Mara heard her name and she already knows who that person is, but she still turned around to be sure because she actually spoke with the young lady two days ago and she did not speak of coming back.

Oh my world Stephanie, when did you get back? You witch and you didn't tell me you were coming back soon, Mara said hugging her best friend right from the university.

Stephanie Eze is the third child and the only daughter of Mr Cletus Eze and Mrs Catherine Eze, she has been friends with Mara right from their 100 level till date and they were equally roommates throughout their stay in school. After graduating she decided to further her education abroad, her two elder brothers were all married and living in different states, the first son Kingsley Eze is a doctor staying in Lagos with his family, while the second one George Eze is managing one of their father's petrol station in Abuja.

It is good to be home finally Mara, she exclaimed taking her seat after hugging Mara's soul out of her body, wow I have missed Africa, I have missed Nigeria, I have missed Owerri and I have missed my dear friend she said going for a hug again.

The next time you want to surprise me can you give me a head's up? Mara asked, oh no Mara that is why it is called a surprise, am not supposed to give you any head's up she rolled her eyes. America treated you fine steph, Mara exclaimed, yea baby but am back home now where I belong. I know I have missed a lot my dear friend, please start vomiting everything that has happened and don't even leave any part out she said sitting comfortably to hear her very well. Aaah aaah steph you just came back na chill, we will discuss about everything later, okay? Mara exclaimed, okay ooo if you say so.

Wow this place is not little at all, you know when you told that you have started a very small business, I was actually expecting to see an empty shop with few things inside but meeehhhn babe this place is huge, am so proud of you sweetheart, she smiled. We have God to thank for that Mara said, what should I offer you? I can't believe I forgot that, just get me a chilled Fanta and I will be okay, "alright am coming". As she came back with the drink Stephanie was already standing admiring her shop, she even has a 20 inches flat screen television with a Gotv decoder, the other end was where she packed her bags of wool while she hung attachments on nails hit on different woods, wigs hung on opposite direction and a ceiling fan up giving them air, two sofas and one plastic chair wow she exclaimed again this place is really huge.

When you are done admiring my shop you can take your drink Mara said sitting down, you know babe am actually happy for you, am happy that you fulfilled your dream of becoming your own boss, and am actually regretting the fact that I didn't see reasons with you and tried talking you into handling one of my father's petrol station! Am sorry babe she apologised, common steph, you are my best friend and you did what every other friend would have done, now take your drink.

What of Obinna? Am sure you guys will be planning on walking down the aisle very soon, you didn't talk about him the last time we spoke on phone, Stephanie happily asked, there will be no wedding Mara said coldly, wait you guys want to do it the traditional way? No problem as long as am going to be the maid of honour, she said nonchalantly sipping her drink, there will be no traditional marriage either, Mara answered again nervously brushing her hair aside, what do you mean? You prefer court marriage to the others? No, there will be no wedding of any kind, it's over between us now and I have moved on, Mara said getting tired of Obinna been their topic of discussion, Mara you know that you can't crack a better joke that can make somebody laugh because what you told me is not funny at all, the Obinna I know loves you very much and can't leave you. Well he did, am not lying steph, he broke up with me, he found someone richer that got him a car, fixed him up and he left me, she has started sobbing again, it is okay bestie, you are not alone in this, you have me, she said hugging her, thank you so much steph, thank you.

Mara has been checking out all the clothes in her wardrobe but to her, none of them is good to wear for Stephanie's welcome home party, she does not have any dinner gown, not even a single one she sighed heavily lying down on the mattress, she heard that rich and renowned business men will be there and she doesn't want to be left out, what would she wear now, she could actually call Stephanie to cancel but she wouldn't do that to her best friend, she was still rummaging through her wardrobe when her mom came in with a package.

Mrs agnes Johnson is a woman in her late fifties but looks younger than her age, she has been catering for her daughters since her husband left them without a reason, where are you Jay she asked absent mindedly? Mom what is that you are carrying? She asked startling her mother, oh my dear Stephanie's driver dropped it a while ago, he said you should get dressed in an hour time because he will be back to pick you up for the party. Let me see what is in the box she said taking it from her mom, wow Stephanie brought me a dress, she just saved my ass right now she said bringing out the dress to check it out fully.

I will be heading out Mara, take your time and dress, thanks mom she replied, she was still admiring the dress when she saw a note inside the box

" witch I know that you don't have any dress, you never liked dinner gowns anyway that's why I sent this particular one to you with the shoe and purse to match, please Mara make sure you wear the dress, don't go and do your own ooo, and please don't waste the driver's time, bye see you later.

Mara couldn't help but laugh, if there is anyone that knows her inside and out it will be Stephanie, she smiled she loves her best friend for sure, she looked at the gown in her hand, it is a blue knee length flay gown, with an opening at the back, simple and fine, she looked at the red stiletto heels and the red purse to match, she looked at herself in the mirror, let's go rock the party Mara she giggled

Stephanie stood at the door looking aimlessly towards the entrance, what is keeping her friend? She wondered, she is the only person she invited herself, other people were invited by her Dad, his business partners, she hissed and rolled her eyes at the same time, she can only be comfortable when Mara gets here, she has been calling her number but she has not been answering, did something bad happen? She brought out her phone deciding to call the driver when she saw Mara walking towards her.

Oh my god Mara, what kept you so long, I have been waiting for quite sometime now, my dear the traffic was something else, but thank God am here now Mara said, alright let's go in then, let's go meet my father and other important people, and by the way you look breathtaking who knows you might get someone to replace Obinna Stephanie said all at once, Mara chuckled you are not serious steph, am here to enjoy myself and not to look at any guy, well let's see how it goes Mara, Stephanie winked.

Mara wowed at the kind of people that turned up for the party, Mr Eze really spent money on this welcome back party, their large sitting room was designed and decorated beautifully.

Who do we have here? Mara, how are you? Mr Eze asked, am fine sir what of you? Am fine my dear and your mom? She is fine sir, she is busy that's why she didn't come with me, oh no problem at all my regards to her, he said, alright sir thanks.

Mara was talking with Stephanie when Mr Eze came with a young man of about 27 years old who he introduced to them as Kenny Williams the C.E.O of DALENA company, wait, did I just hear him say DALENA the company Obinna is working with now, the C.E.O is a Young guy? Unbelievable, she was brought back to reality when Stephanie nudged her shoulder making her startle, she realized that three pair of eyes were looking at her as if expecting her to talk, what? She asked Stephanie confused, Stephanie rolled her eyes at her, then faced Kenny, she is my best friend right from the university days and her name is Mara, she said covering up for her friend.

Kenny has been standing at a place for some minutes now, what kind of boring party is this? Parties are not his thing though but this is the worst so far, what kind of party does the celebrant leave her guests? He hissed, he just wasted his precious time coming to this place, if not for Mr Eze he wouldn't be here at all, all he wants now is to see the celebrant, congratulate her and then go home, he hissed again deciding to get along with business men in the house maybe he will get clients and partners, he touched his pocket just to be sure that his complimentary cards are intact, life of a business man, he smiled.

He was already moving towards the bar where he sighted Mr wale a business man when Mr Eze called back his attention, Mr Williams come let me introduce you to my daughter he announced, finally the celebrant showed up, he scoffed following him to see the person that has kept everyone waiting. His heart melted when he saw a lady on a blue gown, it is simple and fine with a red coloured shoe and a red coloured purse to match, she is beautiful he exclaimed, her face can lighten a troubled heart and brighten someone's face, who is this lady? He must find out.

He was admiring her and didn't notice that they stopped in front of the beautiful lady until he heard Mr Eze introduce him to them, he watched the surprised look on her face as she kept on starring, yes he is handsome and he knows, he gets stares from ladies whenever he goes out, but no this is not that kind of look, she was not ogling him rather she was distant from them, she was thinking about something and her mind far away. He heard the celebrant mumble something but didn't make out something from what she said, he watched the celebrant nudge her shoulder and saw the look of embarrassment on her face, how can she switch mood perfectly like that? He wondered, the celebrant mumbled something again and he heard her this time around.
She is my best friend right from the university days and her name is Mara, he heard her say, Mara? What a beautiful name for a beautiful lady, she shifted her gaze towards the entrance and paled at the sight of a couple that just entered holding hands, why did she pale he wondered, he followed her gaze and saw kasie and the guy she brought the other day to his office, why did she pale on seeing them? Is something going on between her and the guy? He saw the look of hurt and betrayal in her eyes, there are many questions he has to ask her he concluded.

He watched her drag the celebrant aside discussing something with her, damn he needs to stop calling her the celebrant but he didn't hear when she introduced herself, the only thing he heard was Mara she smiled. Mr Williams, can you take my friend home? She is not feeling too well, our driver is not anywhere in sight and you are the only person I can tell, he heard the celebrant speak, oh okay, no problem then I need to get going as well he said smiling inwardly, he will have time alone with her and he will ask her all the questions bothering him. Yes, he smiled again.

Episode 3

Mrs Johnson brought out an old picture of a young woman, she started crying and clinching unto the picture.

Am so sorry Margret, please forgive me, they blackmailed me, they threatened me, I know I did something terrible, something that is not supposed to be done to a friend let alone a best friend, I have carried the burden for 26 years and it is weighing me down, and I think the past is hunting me because Jay left home for the past 8 years and no sign of him yet, I called his number severally and it was switched off, I went to the company to look for him and was told that he has not been to the office for long, I know he never loved me but at least he puts up an act infront of the kids and am okay with that. we need him, the kids and I, I don't know why he left, what I did 26 years ago still hunts, I see you in my dreams every night, the tears in your eyes that night, the pleading look you gave to me but I still had no mercy please forgive me, I know Mara will never forgive me if she knows what I did, am so sorry. Mother, she stifled immediately Mara called her, she hurriedly put the picture back into the drawer.


So tell me is your name Mara shortened from Samara? He asked feeling foolish for asking that kind of question but he doesn't know how to start up a conversation with her, Mara looked at him and shook her head, my name is Amarachi, but people shortened it to Mara, what do you do, tell me about yourself, he asked finally feeling relaxed. Am a business lady, she answered in-differently, Kenny kept calm waiting for her next answer but it never came, he decided to ask the questions himself, what kind of business? I sell the ladies stuff she said trying to discourage him from asking further but it didn't deter him from doing so, what do you mean by ladies stuff? Sanitary pad? Is that it? She chuckled, is that the only ladies thing you know? Well if it is not sanitary pads what else is it that you will feel shy to talk about? I sell hair weaves, hair extensions, hair attachments of any kind, she managed to say.

That's beautiful he said, where is your shop located at so that I can drop by sometimes to greet you, that is not necessary Mr Williams, she nervously said, she doesn't know what his presence is doing to her and she doesn't need him to get closer. But I mean no harm, I just want to know more about you please, he pleaded surprisingly that he is actually begging a lady for something. slow down a bit you will drive into the next street, okay he replied. Please I need the address to your shop, or you can give me your contact, drop me in front of that blue building Mara said shutting him up.

Mara was sitting in her shop when Obinna came visiting. she wondered why he came, Kenny had told her that he has been dumped by his rich girlfriend, "serves him right she muttered".

"How are you Mara"? he asked stepping into the shop, " am fine Obinna and you"? she asked, " am okay Mara, how is Mama? he asked trying to gather the courage to say his purpose of visiting. "Mama is fine Obinna and why are you here"? she asked.

"Mara I know that I have hurt you beyond imagination, I have caused you so much pain, am a monster, am not supposed to be forgiven, am ashamed of myself right now because of what I did to you, am so sorry Mara please find a space in your heart to forgive me" he pleaded.

Mara scoffed, "Obinna don't take me for a fool, you are here because your rich girlfriend dumped your ass, you think I don't know? anyway I have forgiven you, it is all in the past now, you can leave my shop".

"Mara am not here because Kasie left me, I have realized my mistake and am regretting my actions, I promise not to hurt you again, I will take good care of you, I will treat you like a Queen, am serious please believe me".

Mara chuckled, she couldn't believe that karma started working fast in Obinna's life, she shook her head while laughing now, " Obinna you had the chance to do that but you threw it away, another person is treating me like a Queen already and I will appreciate it if you will look elsewhere, who knows you might get another rich lady " she concluded laughing so hard.

"Mom don't tell me that you are still on this case? her daughter asked getting angry.

" will you shut up your mouth funmi, I shouldn't have given you my name if I had known that you won't behave like me, instead I should have named you goat, werey" she said eyeing her daughter for the umpteenth time.

"Mom leave Funmi and talk to me, I can't believe she is my twin, sometimes she behaves like a goat indeed, despite the fact that we work in the same company, we see everyday at work but I don't talk to her and nobody in that company knows that we are siblings not to talk of twins, not even our boss Kenny Williams" the young man concluded rolling his eyes at his so called sister.

Funmilayo's heart skipped immediately she heard the name "Williams" her children are working for the son of the man that hurt her 26 years ago, because of him Johnson left her, she smiled, coming to owerri was the best decision she has made so far, Williams will pay for hurting her too but that will be later, right now she will have to deal with the Johnsons first starting with the young lady she met earlier that day, the girl that escaped death 26 years ago, yes she will have to kill her this time around, she has to die with her sister, she (Funmilayo) is the only one entitled to have children for Johnson and no one else, she will kill them all. "we have lots of work to do" she said turning to her son, " and the earlier we start the better for us" she concluded.
