The religious practices, faith and guiding principles of Christianity is based on the New Testament. The Old Testament was a precursor to the New Testament but the fundamental divinity laws are all in the New Testament. In fact the New Testament quotes the Old Testament when necessary e.g. The 10 commandments etc.
Now on marriage, the position is clear in the New Testament. Marriage is between one man and one woman only . This is clearly written in the New Testament. I believe you have the ability to understand what I am saying?

I am not trolling you, you should stop misleading people and yourself too. The new testament does not summarise the old testament as you have slightly highlighted. The whole of the old testament remains valid and relevant to Christianity. There is nothing as the 'relevant sections.'
Just ask yourself this simple question, if the new testament quoted the relevant sections of the old testament, then what's the need for old testament? Why do you have it in your bible? If you claim some sections are relevant in the old testament, you're actually saying some are not relevant, right? Brother, please think about your stand and go to your pastor, it seems you need enlightenement on the Christian faith.

OK let me make it very simple for you with an example of our country - Nigeria has had 4 constitutions in its history, the latest of which was enacted in '99. Your logic is that we should still stick to the 1963 constitution because it still establishshes Nigeria as a federal republic. The '99 constitution still defines our country as a federation (a link to the past just like NT to OT) but restores democracy among many other amendments..... Again, the transition from OT to NT.
We as Nigerians follow the current constitution and not the 1960s constitution even though that was the foundation. Society evolves.

But the justification for paying tithe is in the OLD TESTAMENT (and in a different context from what it is today), yet today's pastors keep preaching about tithing as if Jesus himself ordered Christians to pay tithe in the New Testament.

Why would the wisest man created by God have so many wives and concubines if it was not a wise thing to do?

Simple. The Christian religion evolves with times. It is quite clear and right that the Christians should follow the New Testament. The old testament is still valid and a historical foundation to the new Testament. Some aspects on rules in the NT will override what is contained in the OT. It is like a constitution - there are amendments that override previous archaic rules. It is how a society evolves...
