please i want to ask if i told the VO that am gonna be staying for 3 weeks in the US..is it possible or can i stay for 4 moths before coming back to Nigeria without having any issue with my visa status

I have a US visa and my son's appointment for visa is next week, pls do I need to get a letter from my job for him?

And what other documents do I need to take along..

If your son is under the age of 16 you don't need any letter. Go with documents you used for your interview, you will be representing/answering for your son.

Yes for other types of visas, B1/B2 is out of that possibility.

Yes he is under 16, and I did Dropbox for my visa renewal.. Pls do I still need documents..eg father's consent..

It is an issue ooo, the game has changed. Just use your 3weeks and leave the country. So renewal can be easy except you don't intend meeting them for another visa.

gurus in the House.. friend of mine traveled last year on a visiting visa but he has not come back since and now he called me and said he want to get married in the states. hope it will not affect him later in the future

That's the more reason why you need to sacrifice your time to read through this forum from part 1&2 to be more equipped about visa application process. The truth of the matter is no one knows your chances but reading through this great forum will definitely help you. There are cases where someone like same status as you have been granted visa while some with more ties like travelling experience, fat salary, family etc were not granted so do yourself a favour to read through.

1. during visa fee payment, I used exchange visitor instead tourism/leisure. what can i do
2. I have an appointment scheduled for B2 at Abuja US Embassy. I just realized that I made a spelling mistake in my appointment confirmation. wrong letter was used instead of w, i used m, and I booked my appointment as well. I navigated to the "Update profile" section to update the applicant name, but unfortunately it did not allowed me to make any updates only to the name field. I'm more worried now. Is there a way I can fix this spelling mistake in the name ?

Note that there are no issues in the name mentioned in DS 160 or anywhere except the appointment confirmation.
Could anyone please share your experience if you have faced any such scenario and could you please tell me how did you fixed this ?

Lol won’t you get bored staying four months . Anyway it’s America you can easily start living like a resident even though you are on a visit visa compared to other countries . Most likely you’ll be granted 6 months stay but staying that long is usually a red flag

Lol he will spend a lot of money and may need to make a lot of sacrifice before he can get his status changed

If the father has a valid visa you don't need a letter of consent, but if he doesn't its good to have one handy and do not present until asked.

On the appointment website, click provide feedback and select 'any other query' for reason, then state your passport number, full name, DS-160 Confirmation Number and your email address and express your situation in few words. Someone will respond in about 48 hours or 2 business days. If you did not get a response check if your account has been reset.......then fill in the correct info.

Really? The VO said it in the most polite way ever. That's the most you'd probably get out of them as compared to the usual mechanical answer.

I really don't think we should make an issue out of nothing. Even unsuccessful job applicant's are wished better luck in their job search.

Telling someone how to spend their own money is true definition of being impolite. Even that VO herself will take exception to that if it was her.

If I walked into Terra Kulture on the Island to eat and the waiter refused service without any form of provocation then told me take my money to Iya Basira down the street if I really wanna eat . that is flat out rude

Your monthly alawi is not even up to $100. How do you intend to survive vacationing for 4 months in a foreign country? Bus rides, plane tickets and the cheapest tacos cost at least a dollar if you have to eat African at least 18 bucks and you will still buy shoes ,clothes, phone, candy and tablet ( Nigerians too like these things )

Reminds me of styl plus' song Iya Basira. I never could tell what made their food so sweet that even mothers would rather buy from them than cook. Everyone in the house looked forward to Iya Basira's food. Twas simply insane.

The anchorage hotel by raddisson is walking distance away from the embassy street ( Walter carrington )

I applied for U.S visit visa last year and was denied, and I decided to apply again and in the course of booking my appointment I got to know that I don't have access to the email my agent used last time and he couldn't remember as well, while filling my info I got a message that if I want to duplicate the info from the former email, I should upload a passport which I did but the response I got is my passport can't be viewed doesn't match the previous data. What can I do to have this corrected?

alright..thanks for the advise
but they do give corpers visa right!!! coz am planing to get a letter from my LGA INSPECTOR and my PPA as well, in case the VO ask if i was given chance to travel coz to be honest i just want to travel to make enquries about schools where i can hv my PGD or MASTERS and some other professional courses coz my uncle over there is also a lecturer in a school and hes the one sending the invitation
