but they do give corpers visa right!!! coz am planing to get a letter from my LGA INSPECTOR and my PPA as well, in case the VO ask if i was given chance to travel coz to be honest i just want to travel to make enquries about schools where i can hv my PGD or MASTERS and some other professional courses coz my uncle over there is also a lecturer in a school and hes the one sending the invitation

But you can make those enquiries via phone calls. Skype, website surfing, emails and through your uncle just like thousands of Nigerians are doing on the F1 thread.

This excuse will be lame and will be a strong grounds for refusal. Why spend thousands of $$ on an airplane ticket just to go make enquiries you can sit in Nigeria and make with less than 100 bucks

We are thinking of traveling to US to visit her parents and so I ve just applied for my tourist visa. I wish to know the documents to show to the visa officer. My intention is to stay for only 2weeks before returning to Australia where I currently school.

1. No it is not possible to create a single application ID for a family of 4. Every individual must have a personal DS-160 form. Even a 10 months old baby.

2. The duration of a DS-160 account before submission is just 30 days.

Goodmorning Guys. Please i urgently need this information. I reside in the US and i am trying to invite two people over for an event. The rumour i am hearing is that there are no appointment dates left in 2018 at any of the US embassies in nigeria for b1 b2 visa. Please how true is that?

I went for interview today with my son, and he was denied visa..

I guess today was not there day and he will get on his next interview.

I was asked few questions:
Personally I feel the VO was mean n somehow, I have done interviews for vacation and school and I was given, given birth to a baby in US paid all my bills yet my son was not given..

The VO said she did not give my son cos I didn't come along with my daughter's birth receipts.. If she was nice she wld have just said I should send copies...please NOTE, I have a valid US Visa..

Will travel to an African country n reapply in 6mths...

Pls carry the necessary and unnecessary documents you never know..

PS, let us explore other African Countries and leave US alone for now..

Also, why didn't you point the VO in the right direction (since she feigned not knowing or something) as per allowing you time and opportunity to submit those documents via their appropriate channel, or you did and it fell on deaf ears? Pretty sorry about the refusal.... How old is the child?

5yrs old..meanwhile I just thought it was my son's interview alone..well its one of those things..its this Black American lady, and I can bet she didn't give anyone cos she was super mean.

Also even if I showed her the receipt she may not still give cos I saw all body languages..

Sure I would have stated me sending later but my boy was just everywhere...learnt and know what to do in the next interview..

No it was my valid visa I used, I just sent them the mail stating that I want to use the visa for child birth...I already did a drop box and got a visa in May without interview....

I feel the lady just wanted to refuse him..which is fine, will reapply 6mths time..

I will advice u take all necessary and documents that looks unnecessary too a long with you...

Carry UR zero Balance/itemized zero balance with u.

If ur going to a state in US for the 1st time goggle places to visit..

I have been to MD,TX,NY, ATL, but not IL and I was asked places I want to visit. I told her my sister is there schooling n we intend to have Thanksgiving with her..she kept asking places in Chicago I want to visit..me just won go rest and shop..

The VO kinda made the interview look like I was trying to renew my visa...after the denial, I had to ask her hope she did not cancel my valid visa....she said no...

Hmm, na wa o. I actually already packed all the above documents. I even included his birth receipt from the UK.

Last year he was denied a UK visa cos I forgot to include his birth certificate. Though his passport wasn't stamped. It was still painful. His first visit after birth, I didn't include the receipt of payment of his birth, but I was called from the embassy to bring it and his visa was approved. So I thought they could have easily asked me to bring the birth certificate too. Or even check their records since he was born there and it wasn't his first visa too.

You never know with this people. May God make it easy for us and help us in this country. I just wish I had him in America too. At the time of his birth, I didn't know it was legal to give birth in America. What I paid for his delivery in the UK is more than what I paid for his brothers delivery in the US. Sigh

With what i discovered, is very obvious that us Embassy dont want Nigeria to visit their country. Let’s advice ourselves and stop applying for b1/B2 until they are ready to give. I went to Lagos embassy today very scanty no single person was given on B1/B2 even those hustlers around the embassy will tell you they are not given except immigrat visa.

Reading some of your transcripts really gave me enough idea on how to answer questions. I have been refused usa visa 5 years ago and have no travelling experience. Below is my transcripts.
Visa interview was at 7:30am
Me: Good morning sir
VO: Good morning. Why are you going to the USA
Me: I am attending a 4 weeks training program at **** in New Jersey
VO: Can you tell me abt this program
Me: Is a Mentorship program that is designed to link me up with the lecturers at the college and it would help me as a Ghanaian nurse to be an effective nurse leader, researcher blah blah
Vo:What do you do
Me: I am a Student , I also work as a full time nurse at KBTH and on weekends, I work as a part time nurse at hospital.

VO: Do u know anyone in the USA
Me: No not at all
Vo: Have you travelled before
ME: No I have not had any reason for travelling out of Ghana until now(Got it from here)
VO: started laughing loudly until I heard him say" Ma'am actually you qualify for this visa category blah blah"
