Yes it is asking me if I have been refused before which I have been but really want to know if that is applicable to me since it specifies in the last 2 months. That's why I want to be sure if I fall in that category as going by the calculation, mine was refused 14th July, 2018. I dont want to choose the wrong thing erroneously, so that I wont be seem as deliberately misrepresenting my application. I dont want that to happen.

Bro please check your pm. Thanks

Meaning you applied and still waiting for admission. Well, for the schools I applied to, there is always a spot to check my status, one is currently displaying 'Awaiting decision' , the other is 'Out to department', while I already got my acceptance letter for one, so I think if you truly have access to the login of the application, you can check your status, from the schools.

Then, the last school sent a mail that they will get back to me as soon as the decision is made by the faculty.

I wish us success.
Thanks a lot bro

Isn't your reaction off the hook as well? You could have just done as suggested as most of us here might not have adequate information on visit visa. That said, going by your initial question, I do think you are good to go. I guess you just have to be confident and know much about the conference you are going for and how it translates to your improvement.

Thanks Mate. I just got ma Passport renewed. Hence i wanted to see what I could do. Thanks Mate.
Sorry about how i got off, that guy's behaviour earlier on wasn't worth it at that time. Challenge is I dont have a travel History yet as I was focused on getting my life arranged first of

US does not look at your class of degree (that's British system practiced in Nigeria). You will need to convert your GPA to a US scale in order to apply. The standard admission benchmark is usually 3.0 but a few other schools also accept GPA below that standard mark.

The only reason you need to worry about your GPA is when you are seeking for funding, otherwise, you're almost always eligible for US admission except in extreme cases where you have very poor GPA.

Regarding TOEFL, Nigerians are not usually required to take the TOEFL since we are an anglophone country. As for your transcript, it is a crucial part of your admission process, you can't avoid it. You should now research to know if your school accepts official or unofficial or evaluated copy.

Owh wonderful, thanks but I would love to know how this GPA conversion is don't thanks..

Hi everyone, please I need your sincere thoughts and advice on this issue I'm about narrating; I have this friend( he's a good guy and should be in his early 30's). He applied for a tourist visa and his interview is next month, he called me up to inform me that he needs my help, the help-he needs a photograph of me, him with two random kids as an evidence for marital ties during his interview. I'm an aspiring Student too, presently preparing for my gre.
Is it safe to help him? What advice can I give to him?
Thanks for your anticipated responses

Run as fast as your legs can carry you, bikonu. Tell him a young man told you to tell him he needs prove with documents that are genuine otherwise, he is only complicating things for his future. He should not be deceived into doing something fraudulent that will hunt him forever rather, he should just be sincere in his application and hope for the best.

Trust me, his response was really mild. I guess he's lived in the West for a while and have learnt to give politically correct responses.

Anyways, I do not think the embassy cares so much about your passport being virgin or otherwise although, some VO might feel immigration intent considering your marital status. I would suggest you know much about the conference, what you stand to gain from it, how it will help your career and you may want to include a short vacation so as to show you are not just going for a conference but also, to relax that is if you have a vacation at this period. I wish you the very best.

You are adding more fuel to the fire and about to destroy another person future with this advise.

It better you tell him the bitter truth and don't put someone else future into problem

I understand the way our mothers can be rigid even when you yell them they're on the wrong path. With your phone in hand and with her beside you. Google cost of TOEFL registration, let her see with her eyes how much it cost and how the agent is about to dupe her or has already duped her.
Hopefully she gets convinced.

I am so sorry about this, but it looks like there is enough money to throw away. I mean 804k is so much money for standardized tests fam. That money is enough to write the tests, pay application fees to more than 6 schools, and still cover other major expenses.

STAY AWAY FROM AGENTS ! ! !

If you register with B.Y Mafit, you get to pay 45k for the TOEFL. That 45k takes care of the materials he would need to read to ace the test. Looking from things, your brother need classes, and B.Y Mafit offers that for free.

What your mum's friend told her is a fat lie. When your brother goes there, he'd see his age mates in class. There are kids there his age attending classes and waiting to write their own tests.

Life shouldn't be this tough to be honest.

Again, STAY AWAY FROM AGENTS! ! !

Good morning guys, has anymore been admitted for spring at Austin Peay State University and Middle Tennessee State University. I am patiently waiting for their decision.

Moreso I was admitted to University of New Haven and I would like to apply for their funding but there is no where to apply for it, so I want to ask if it is automatically been considered with ones program application.

First I will advice you to erase the thinking about going to an agent from your mind.
There are steps you can take. With your CGPA research for schools that accept your CGPA for your MBA program.

Register for GMAT and if necessary for TOEFL
do all these online. There are people here that can help you pay for your standardized test in a cheap price.

You can contact me later to give you tips.

First off, stay away from Agents. This is something you can do yourself. You just have to dedicate time to things like researching schools that match your profile, contacting grad coordinators, reading for the tests and all of that.

You can register with B. Y Mafit for 45k and with ponpon for 40k.

Most students are 'rejected' because they are largely unprepared. In a roundabout way, visa applications are denied once an iota of doubt is suspected.
Ensure your application meets requirement and prepare to have a genuine conversation with the officer. Bet me, success beckons.
