And all you idiots insulting me me with the lack of priority crap, i sometimes wish it were you or one of your relatives strapped into the crap you call an aircraft. Its alright displaying your primitive and cheap mindset on Nairaland land and insulting those calling for drastic changes, but these are real human being strapped into these air coffins. Wherever d idiots..remind me again how acquiring modern airframes is waste of resources and fantasy Nigeria cannot afford. We'be lost another F-7N to a crash. How many do we have left?

$100 million will buy you 10 or 11 SU-25, a heavily amoured aircraft perfect for close air support with unmatched fire power and protection. It doesn't have to be a 4th gen platform.

Wrong again. If you used the link I gave you'd have seen the Su 25 SM Frogfoot cost 25 mn$ with annual 3.2 mn$ upkeep. Don't assume when facts are a click away.

I got a $10 million figure from a Ukrainian website so you can't blame me. But regardless, you are Kenyan, surely your nation, wiyh far less resourdes does not rely in the crap we have for air defence. We just lost another aircraft and pilot today. For a country with the resources and security imperatives of Nigeria, should there be an excuse for the shameful state of the nation's air force?

Always displaying your high level of ignorance, even new aircrafts that are newly purchased and maintained crashes.

How does your claims justify the aircraft crash incidence, even if we have these 4th gen Jets already does that mean there wouldn't be aircraft crash incidence anymore. Every profession a it's own hazard.

I think he survived the crash and later died in the hospital, judging from the 2nd picture his right arm is fractured.

You so love Nigeria but you recommend a 1981 platform over a 2003 for CAS, you tried!! Continue confusing yourself.

Oh absolutely. The SU-25 has air to air caps, it can deliver ordnance and fight. It has enough armour towithdtand high calibre rounds. It took an American F-18 three missiles to bring one down over Syria. It beats the Super Tucano where it matters.

Tbh,I used to wonder at that what with all your ex military leaders from Obj and Yar'Adua. I've since learned the financial issues are deeper than I ever suspected.

And so funking what...... ?

You loose aircraft due to bad weather, pilot mistakes...etc which make end up in total aircraft destruction and lost of pilots life, Even developed countries do.

I can't count how many military aircrafts that crashed not as a result of enemy fire. So don't just type shot that just comes out of your brain.

At-least Shut up if you can't make an intelligent guess on probable cause why not wait for investigation to be concluded b4 you pounce on ur 10mb. It could have being Pilots error, improper safety procedure or mechanical fault. Judging from what have seen and read, that accident would probably have being caused by Pilot's error, most mid air collisions are as a result of miscommunication or tactical maneuver(Formation flying) gone wrong, which to me is one of the most difficult flying to do, atimes these aircrafts could go as close as 30 inches, putting into cognizance the speed and ceiling at which they fly any mistake be it in communication or over correction/application of the stick could be fatal, sometimes it could also be G-LOC(Gravity Induced Loss of Consciousness) when high G-turns are made. Even the BLUE ANGELS the US NAVY's foremost flight demonstration squadron have one or two incidences once in a while will you also say they fly scraps too? mtcheeew!!!

Oh really!! Who told you the Tucano isn't armoured? in your fantasy world, its not about the ancient of days relic SU-25 is, it is not about the cost of keeping it operational, it is not about Tucano's advanced weapons systems, it is not about how many hrs it can last in battle abi?
I thought you want Nigeria to have the likes of raptor for perfect air defense, since when did you accept that COIN is a priority with your SU-25 recommendation? Thank God for whoever that knocked your brain to factory reset.

The F7 jet is not a fly8ng coffin, the NAF is doing its best 8n maintaining her aircrafts. These is an administration that the total aircraft in her inventory is 75% plus airworthy, please what else do you want.

Moreover there other more developed military that's are still using older F7 jets in there inventory. We don't know the case of the crash so don't just jump into conclusion like that.
